I used to bake a lot more but I am a diabetic and when I bake I tend to try what I bake and then I am eating stuff I shouldn't be :(

My fav food? Mmh, hard to say. At the moment, Dominosteins, LOL. Do you know them? A Dominostein is a sweet sold during Christmas season in Germany. The base consists of Lebkuchen. Next is a layer of apricot jelly and a layer of marzipan. The Dominostein is covered with a thin icing of dark chocolate. It´s delicious!

Arg, yeah, that makes cooking harder. I have a lot of food allergies to cook around in my friends group as well - gluten-free, almost-vegans, a vegetarian friend is allergic to capsaicin which makes flavoring difficult.

I live in DC in the States. The political cesspool of the world. :D Actually, it is not too bad. Certainly this is one of the best cities in the country in terms of availability of diversity of food. So many good chefs, international groceries, etc.

Sounds very interesting! Here, it´s also 5 mill people in cities flowing one into another and combinded are a big melting pod, that´s like the area is also called, the pod. It´s very multi culti with people from Italy, Turkey, Syria, Spain, Japan, China, India, Korea so our food has a lot of influences and you find a lot of restaurants cooking their special dishes.

Wow that is a lot to cook around! I only have one thing. Glad you can do what you enjoy though :) Thanks for the items too!

uhm... hard decision! I love dark chocolate in all its forms (also pure), but I'm into historical cooking, too. I mean, trying recipes from manuscripts and books of other centuries. it could be a little strange, but I've got a couple of friends really skilled and a lot of dishes are really worthy!

You know, my boyfriend actually asked me this last night (I think he was fishing for Valentine's Day) but I answered truthfully. Normally, I would say seafood but after getting so damn sick on my birthday from that, it's complicated. My second favorite thing is soups of any kind. I'm ALWAYS cold unless I'm sitting in the sun (pretty sure I'm a lizard) so I enjoy a cup or bowl of steaming hot soup. = u =
