"Please, please tell me I'm not late!" She clutched onto her dusty, splintering broom and looked around. She saw Malcolm giving her a slightly frightened look. But she was pretty sure he was eyeballing her worn broom. "Oh.. I'm sorry. Guess I'm not too terribly late." Embarrassed, she hid the crumbling broom behind her robes.
http://s26.postimg.org/jzd9wf1c9/Fade_Quid_Club.png[/img] Late again Fade struggled to catch his breath as he came to a halt beside the girls from his house. “Sorry... I... Phew!†Taking a deep breath he let it out and grinned sheepishly, while wiping the beads of sweat from his brow. Once again he had lost track of time immersed in a book. Amanda () had been nice enough to let him borrow a few pertaining to Quidditch, and Quidditch Through the Ages was proving to be a particularly fascinating read.
“Hello, I’m Fade.†He could feel his face turning red. “Got any tips for beginners?†Fade directed his question at Malcolm ()curious to learn a few tips from a seasoned player. Having grown up in the muggle world, up until recently Fade had never even heard of Quidditch, let alone ever imagined he would be flying around on a broomstick dodging bludgers and like. When the clipboard was passed to him he wrote very neatly in small scrawling letters ~Fade Eventide.
Malcolm blinked at . "I'm not competitive."
He then turned his attention towards the newcomers. "Right on time, you two. We're still waiting to see if a few more show up, but it looks like we've got a good number to start with! Tips will come later, Fade." He grinned.
"Follow me if you haven't got a broom. We'll set you up with one of the school ones." His eyes moved over to Akela's () broom. "Or if anyone wants to try one of the school brooms rather than their own, you're welcome to come as well."
He took a few steps towards the broom shed, then spun around to walk backwards to see if anyone followed him.

"I hope we're on the same team!" Beth said as she high-fived .
Beth turned to Malcolm. () "Yes, please. I wouldn't my first experience playing Quidditch resulting in broken bones."

Fade smirked at and stuck out his tongue slightly before jumping to attention as Malcolm () started off toward the school's supply of brooms. "Yeah I guess I'm guna need one of those." Fade hadn't yet had a chance to write his parents a letter expressing his deepest need for a new broomstick... Any broomstick. Somehow he could just see his mother pursing her lips as she read all the reasons he could list as to why having a new broomstick would be the best thing ever. It wouldn't surprise Fade if she responded by sending an ordinary household muggle broom just to tease him.

Gaia grinned at Fade "You can use my broom any time! Just be careful it can be a little temperamental from time to time!" Gaia stopped for a second to think something "Well also during games and practice I will need it, but any other time feel free to borrow!"
Malcolm reached the broom shed and opened it for the few students that followed him.
"Brooms you're allowed to borrow are on the left. Ones on the right belong to other students, so I wouldn't touch them unless you want some problems. It's first come, first serve, so get a good one while you can! Though they're all rather beaten up, so none are fantastic."
She overheard a couple of others talking behind her and turned to see a boy with bluish hair and a blonde girl who sported some fancy protection pads (lol).
"Hi. My name is Akela Black. Are you guys thinking of joining the quiditch team?"

() Gaia looked over at the new face and grinned extending her hand "HI! I am Gaia from Ravenclaw hopefully Beater" and then whispered "and hopefully captain!" then laughed. "Are you excited about the club?"
"Okay, if everyone's got a broom, then I think we're ready to get started," he said as he led them back to the pitch. Once there, he picked up his broom and the quaffle, then mounted his broom.
"We're going to start by hovering about five feet off the ground, just until some of our inexperienced members get a chance to get accumulated and get a handle on how to hover and still be able to hold and pass the quaffle. We'll add a few feet more to that after we do some passing drills, then a few more after that... You get the idea. If you've all had your flying lessons by now, you'll know all you really have to do to get up in the air is mount your broom, then kick off."
He demonstrated by slightly bending his knees and pushing off the ground. Malcolm rose to about 5 to 6 feet, then hovered there with little trouble, quaffle under his arm.
"If you need help, let me know."
Rox was glad that they were finally going to do something interesting in the club. She quickly got onto her broom and flew up, way more than the five feet she was told to, but she also quickly made her way back towards the others. She knew that some of the others weren't as experienced as she was. She was ready for a little game though.

() "That would be fun!" Gaia said enthusiastically while mounting her broom. At Malcolm's cue Gaia pushed from the ground about 5 feet up in the air. It was a feeling Gaia thoroughly enjoyed. It reminds her of helping her dad deliver owls.
Listening to Malcolm carefully, Amanda mounted her Comet 290 and kicked off the ground gently. She turned her broom slightly and faced the group head on. It felt great to finally get up in the air, even if it was just a few feet. She couldn't wait to get her hands on the Quaffle, her favorite ball. She looked around and waited for the other club members to join their circle.
Cleared by staff: Maximum height is 325px.
http://s26.postimg.org/jzd9wf1c9/Fade_Quid_Club.png[/img]Fade leaned into the broom shed. There was quite the pile to choose from, and all of them seemed to be different. After a few other students made their picks, Fade reached to the back of the pile and pulled out a white washed broomstick with faded lettering on the side that read “Silver Arrowâ€.
Returning to the group he put on his goggles and slipped his leg over the side of the broomstick before gently kicking off the ground. Wobbly at first he was able to find his balance without as much trouble as he had in his first Flying lesson. Just like riding a bike… Kinda. Keeping a firm grip on the broom Fade glanced around at his other classmates. One girl wearing a Gryffindor scarf and armed with a classic Nimbus introduced herself as Akela (). Nodding slightly still trying to keep his balance Fade smiled. “I guess we’ll see how this goes. I’m Fade by the way.â€
Flying was still very new to him, but something about hovering off the ground was exhilarating. Maybe it was the old broomstick happy to be in use for the first time in forever. Steadily Fade pulled up so that he was level with the ascending group five feet above the ground.
"Okay, time to get started, I suppose! We're just going to toss the quaffle around until the newbies get accumulated, then we'll raise up a bit further and add a bit more complicated moves. For now, just try to stay in one spot."
Malcolm passed the Quaffle to since she was first in the air.
Rox noticed the Quaffle was being thrown towards her by Malcolm (), finally she thought to herself, she was so ready for this and had been looking forward to it ever since she had learned to play the game. With one hand she let go of the broomstick, but made sure that with her other hand and her legs she kept control over it, so that she could reach out and grab the Quaffle, just as she had been thought by her father. She looked towards the rings, she really wished they would go and play a real game, but she also knew that in order to play a real game everyone had to become used to playing. She looked around, then noticed and passed the Quaffle towards her.

Gaia catch the Quaffle with ease just like back home with her dad. This brought fun memories and felt familiar. Looking around Gaia passed the Quaffle to Amanda () "Nice broom!"
() "I think that broom suits you! Very stylish! Almost like it was waiting for you!" Gaia winked at her friend and continue to keep an eye on the Quaffle being tossed around.
