After Beth finished drinking her tea, she looked into her cup. Her tea leaves formed many different shapes. She brought her teacup towards her face to get a closer look at the shapes. There was an apple, an ant, a candle, wavy lines, and and a wolf. An apple means good knowledge. I’m learning new things everyday. An ant means handwork. I have been working hard on my assignments and been busy with my Prefect duties. A candle means that there is a light in an uncertain path. I’m not exactly sure what that means for me. It could be anything, like my plans for the break or the clubs I’ll join next term. Lines represent a journey. Since these lines are wavy that means it’s an uncertain path. Thus I’m on a journey on an uncertain path. A wolf means that I will be challenged or be betrayed by someone. I hope I haven't mislabeled this form. I don’t want to be betrayed by anyone I care about.[/spoiler] [Spoiler=2)]2.) “Everyone should be able to foresee the future.” What's your opinion on this? In order for someone to see the future, one must have an open eye. Everyone could see the future if they gave themselves the chance to. Everyone can obtain the resources to help them see the future such as palmistry or tasseography. Not everyone has the skill for it. Some might predict the future poorly or misunderstand what they are seeing which will give them an inaccurate prediction. I’ve heard stories that even Muggles possess the ability to see the future. I don’t believe that not everyone should be able to see the future. Knowledge of the future can give one power, power that not everyone should possess. One might try to change the future for their own self interest. One might try to prevent certain events from happening or try to alter the future so that certain events do happen. This could easily cause chaos and disturb the natural balance of the world. Being a Seer is a special gift, a special ability. Not everyone knows how to open their third eye. A person with this ability must understand the importance of destiny and time. Not everyone is able to hold such power in their hands. Knowing the future may also be dangerous and can be depressing. Others might live in fear with the knowledge they hold of the future. One would also need to understand that the future is fickly. One’s decisions easily affects the path one shall take. It will also affect one’s future. Thus, although one could see the future doesn’t mean they should be able to see the future.[/spoiler]
