Thank you so much for the custom CSS - the hustler and the ads were making my subeta pages load forever. Now they're back to normal, so happy.
handy work! thanks. Yesterday I tried to code something that lets you set the active tab on the challenge page from the BC. You know, the one where you can choose between Normal, Hidden, Cashshop and Event opponents. The active tab is the one called "Normal". I would like to set the "Event" challenger tab to be the active (preselected) one. I had no luck so far. Usually I aint that bad at coding, but for some reason sometimes I can not figure out how the arguments are or where to put them. I don't know if it is easy to understand what I wish to do but I hope so.
Thanks for the invitation to ask for your help. I appreciate it much. [Edit] Being able to preselect a checkbox, would be nice too. I could not find a good DIY/guide that explains how to adress the different types. F.e. how to adress a button vs. how to adress a table etc. Would be great to know if I just missed it or if there is really no such guide like that. [Edit] If there is a more appropriate board to post my question on please let me know. I thought this would be the right place.

Oh hey I'm so sorry I didn't answer sooner. Events really stack up when you're gone for a few days! This is probably the best place to post the questions, outside of making a new thread on this forum.
Those are things that are set in the site's code, and just can't be changed with CSS. You'd need to write a userscript (script applied to site using a browser addon) to make the changes you want.
Thanks for your reply, can you tell me in which way the things I want to do are different from f..e. changing the position of a button. What I am trying to understand is how can I tell if it is necessery to write a userscript instead of css. Just for further things I might want to do. I thnik by addon you mean someting like JohnTravolta :D. Can I ask for your help with the userscript if I do need any? Last but not least no problem that it took you some time to answer. Meanwhile I was stuck with gelatine golems anyway :) [Edit] I tried different approaches with greasemonkey today, but so far it got me no where. Please let me know if you are willing to help me with the GM script. Or if you can think of any other User who has the skills and could be willing to help feel free to point her or him in my direction, or the other way around. Thanks a lot.

Basic explanation: CSS can - change the size of a checkbox (change appearance) userscripts can - change the un/selected state of a checkbox (cause an action)
Selecting a checkbox is easy, I've used that before on a site that had stupid default search settings. Read more. If you look at the source code of the battle page, you'll see that the event tab has an onclick attribute, so you should be able to trigger that onclick with script instead of a click. Read more. StackOverflow will have the answers to anything. And you can find templates for userscripts using javascript or jquery through Google. That's about all I can offer you, I'm not very good so to help any more I would have to make it myself. >.<
Good luck! Which gelatins did you manage to take down?
Thank you for the information. I will take a look and see what I can do with it. So far I tried manipulating the "checked" state. Looks like your information leads in a different direction. I need to be in the right state of mind to get all the information right so it will take some time but I will get back to you as soon as I managed to get it running. Maybe you want to add it to your first post eventualy some one else can use it too.
Last but not least the answer to your question. The last one I managed to take down, has been gella shell. I even managed to beat him ten times. But the wiz was to much for my battlepet. And finally I took some bites out of the Hydrogellos. And it took me like forever to get my eighty wins from the golem. How was your experience? Anyways now that the gelatin war is over I might be in the mood to take another run on the Troll. Thanks again for your advice, till then.

This year I finished off the Glider, Golem, and Gelashell achievements, still can't take out a Wizard though D:
Hi, I'm terribly new so I apologize if this is a dumb question or has been answered elsewhere, but what I'm wondering is where this code goes? I'm familiar enough with CSS that I can choose the various code snippets and string them together fine, so that's not my problem. I'm just wondering what page this goes on? Like, does it go under profile? I'm just confused because I see codes that affect the forum and general site layout and such instead of just the user profile page.

Welcome to subeta!!
Top right nav> personal> user dashboard >"Custom CSS"
And of course it was in a spot right in front of me. Whoops. But thank you, both for the welcome and the quick answer!

I don't know if this is useful or not, but I slapped together something for people who want to use subeta in the dark (like me). It only affects the (usually white) area under the nav and right of the sidebar. Things look uglier but it keeps my screen from being too bright. I'd make it prettier, but I'm too lazy to pick through css I haven't written, and I'm only using this at night anyway!

I use the subeta adblock code but I've got a random ad in my sidebar, very annoying. Is this ad new? A code to remove that would be so much appreciated @ _ @ My adblockplus removes the actual ad but the link to gold accounts via "remove this ad" is still shoehorned in.
note: I try to remove all ads, not because I hate subeta and dont want them to make money, but because I have a jumpy hand with a tendency to misclick on things. A jerky hand with a misclick on an ad has given me viruses in the past, I just don't want to deal with that anymore.
Is there any way to remove the hustler banner from other people's pet pages? Why does it do that anyway, if I have it turned off with my own CSS?

I have a gold account at the moment and can't see the ad. In a couple days it will expire and I will investigate.
Custom CSS doesn't apply to pet pages, so no, users can only remove the banner from their own pet's pages.
Duh, sorry that was a silly question. OF course I shouldn't be able to overwrite someone else's code.
