I am not impressed by proceeds from vending. I have tried a bit from each machine, but is one better than the others for the rate of return?

From what I have seen, I would be better off selling my wiz tokens rather than using them. Maybe there is some trick I don't now about -- or is vending just a waste of time and tokens now that the rares are gone?

Might be good in OD when new items are released, seems kinda lame elsewhere though. Especially when they remove exclusive items. No more chance at an item worth something. I won't be surprised when vending is finally removed.

I never get anything good. But I also don't expect to. I see every once in awhile someone will get a real nice item. But im sure that amount of tokens spent outweighs almost any prize worth.

So I guess in the long run selling the tokens would get you a better profit. But a lot of people keep going to get riptide.

I personally just do it a few times a day for fragging purposes and to feed my pets xD

The reason given for nerfing Vending again was the exact opposite of the one given for nerfing it in the first place. Some people who seem to be persuasive enough to the powers that be just find it fun to ruin other people's fun. I opposed both nerfs in threads about it each time

Currently Battlers are presuming that somehow they are holy and special and are blaming restockers for their own greedy demands on certain non-crucial battling items that are raising the price on them (duh.). That is to say they think it's part of their fun to make it harder to restock.

I really hope this site doesn't go the way of Neopets.

Vend to frag that's all I ever do any more.

Only to fill the wardrobe and collections if catching up. Otherwise, not really profitable unless you're lucky to vend new items and sell them.

IMO vending was one of the biggest benefits of a GA before the rarity got nerfed.

Yeah -- when I was more active I had my GA pay for itself through vending and autopricing daily. It no longer does that. As far as I can tell, there is no way to make a GA pay for itself, so I will most likely just let this one lapse.

if you scrape off the surface of the GA, sell the gold shavings for scrap, and resell the GA medal, it'll pay for itself.

Prize Get was always pretty good to me. Though, I haven't vended or done any quests in weeks so I don't know how weapon prices are.

I don't think Prize Get is worth it. I don't vend there much, but I believe it still just gives out weapons.

Most of the normal rarity and below weapons are under 4k each, and both the Weapons Warehouse and Defend and Conquer have plenty of them stocked for less. Not to mention tons of weapons are given out from BQs.

Well this thread was helpful. Do you guys just use the GA for extra quests, for the most part? I only ever got GAs for vending and autopricing my shop. After reading this thread I doubt I'll buy one again. That's sad. Sigh.

I don't have a GA right now because I really wasn't making use of my last one so I'm putting off activating my next. But I try to keep up with my quests when I have one, and I refuse to hand price my shop so the only time it gets priced is when I have the autopricer. I also really really need the extra wardrobe slots.

I never really made use of my vending bonus once I got the top achievement tier, but I did vend on occasion at Prize Get, which has apparently lost its use now so I won't be vending either.

The only time I've vended since it was messed with was during last Pandemic, I believe. When there were retired items thrown in there. Other than that I haven't vended because of what I've heard about how awful it is to make a profit from it. When I first started here that and questing were my ways to make sP. Now, the first isn't worth it and the second is slowly getting there. Most days I don't even quest lol. I did during the whole getting another pet slot, but not now.

Pretty much echoing what the others have said. Unless there are new items or until they put old retired items back in there for a holiday, it's probably more profitable to just sell the tokens unless you're going for achievements/working on getting fragmentizer crystals/trying to vend Riptide.

This is so sad. Vending was my main source of income and the reason I got a GA (for the autopricer and the vending increase), and now it's just not worth it anymore. I haven't got time for restocking, and I seldom get good payouts when questing. When it takes so long to earn sP it's just not fun anymore :(

Vending has changed a lot...Back in the day I vended ONLY in Ocean Depths. There was no limit on how much you could vend. Some days I'd go through a few thousand tokens, and each time I would usually get a handful of rare items, nothing worth more than 10 million or so that I could ever recall, but I easily doubled or tripled what I spent in tokens(if not more). Now there is a cap of 500 vends, and it seems like OD is not giving out fantastic stuff like it used to. I think you can still get a riptide, but I've been on here for 9 years(I think, might be misremembering) and I've never strayed from OD and I have never received one.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus for the last 2 years and this is kind of disappointing to hear. Vending was also my main method of income and all these limitations make it not seem worth it anymore

I got a Riptide recently from Ocean Depths. If you don't vend from that machine IMO it's not really worthy. Except for the fact that you get items to sell in your shop and that includes recently released items. Also, now only OD vends items from higher rarities such as 80-99 and r160.

Riptide will eventually be taken out of ocean depths though. They are doing away with vending exclusive items.
