You can get around the error by using this link when you're on a battle quest: http://subeta.net/games/battle/challenge_new_bq.php

[edit] The link unfortunately only works for challengers you have unlocked and old event challengers (like Pylot).

Thanks for the link! I also had that problem with Technicant on my first quest. I think I'll wait with the rest until it's fixed.

Same problem. The link seems looks like it may not work if it's a challenger that you haven't unlocked. I'm on lv 23 Surge. Haven't bought that signet yet so he isn't showing up for me.

The link doesn't take you off-site, it just takes you to a page with the battle challenger that the battle quest gave you. It's the default link to the battle quest challengers, minus the challenger ID. If you try to use the link when you're not on a battle quest, it takes you to the battle quest main page. It's not possible to take advantage of the link for extra exp, as far as I can tell. So I'd say it's legit and a fair workaround for the time being.

Seems that way. Now I'm on Level 5 and Reischen wants me to challenge Cloud Sylph, but I don't have that challenger on my "normal" challengers' page. So it doesn't show up, even with Frost's link... :/

Echoing what said now that I've gotten to a challenger that I haven't unlocked - the link doesn't work for them. It does work on limited number challengers (like Pylot), but the link doesn't work for challengers you don't have unlocked. :/ I'll edit the post to add that.

Good to know. Think I'll still wait this out, though, if the old event challengers aren't working that way (and I can see why they wouldn't). I only got back into these a few days ago, so 1 more day of slacking off isn't gonna kill me. xD

This is the message I got on Battle Quests when I was to battle Level 1, Angry Angry Arnold. My battle pet is tier 11 so I have battled Arnold many times in the past so him not being on my challenger list is not an issue.

Just posting to say I have the same issue. Using that work around is too much of a hassle to me (though thanks for posting it), so I'll wait until it's fixed. :x

Having the same problem on my 1st battle quest for the day. Will try the link above and see what happens. Thanks. OK the link works but it's a real nuisance to have to keep pasting it into the address bar for every single quest. Please fix this? Edit: It's working again once I got past level 5.
