We usually call it Hisbiscus here, but that stuff is fantastic. I have a tea with Hisbiscus and rose petals that is wonderful. Where do you find it? I can never seem to find the plant by itself.

i bought it at farmers market. i only read about the plant online but it appears that people in my place has been planting them in flower pot outside their house and sell them online. if you can get hold of them, they said just remove the seed and plant them. it works great to remove that parched feeling after you overeating. i boil them now. it is better to boil rather than blend. the color is much better and the leftovers became soft. can't drink yet. they are super hot.

- Yay, I'm happy you're excited about the ping group! X3 As for your names:

  • Good Home Cooking: This name is bland. It needs some spice!
  • Eat fresh: I worked at Subway for a few months. Subway is all I can think of with this name. DX
  • Nouvelle Cuisine: This name can be misleading, as people would think this group is only about Nouvelle cuisine. However, this could be a great topic to have!
  • Bitchin' in the Kitchen: My favorite of the list! However, would it be allowed as a forum group name? I'm not sure.

- I love slow cooking! I haven't used my slow cooker in a long time, being unable to afford much meat for a long while and going between houses everyday. Adding lots of veggies gives so much flavor too. I love bell peppers, carrots, and potatoes the most. A terrible curse I have is I HATE onions in vegetable form. Onions add such a good flavor, but I hate wasting food, so I don't even bother with onions. I like onion powder though.

Bitchin' in the Kitchen sounds fun!

i love the smell of fried onion. and the taste of fried onion. in soup dishes, i put them but i don't really eat them. i don't like the taste. raw onion in burgers is great though. but in small amount. too much and i will totally suffer the wrath of the onion.

Bitchin' in the Kitchen has to be my favorite so far. XD And we can always try it and see!

I love onions cooked! But yeah, unless it's a sweet onion, I'm not a fan of them raw. But they have some really tasty ones in my area! Strawberry onions are amazing. (They do not taste like strawberry though! Just grown in strawberry fields.)

Hey everyone! It's been so quiet here.

I uploaded new recipes to Sugar and Spice. You find them in the "fruity" and "sweet" section.

What about the clan? Are we getting to a point where we can actually open it? Maybe we find more members when there are actual events, contests, etc. What are the things we need to do first?

[edit]

I have an idea for a game we could try. Please tell me what you think.

The task is to start a quest for Pete and to try to cook or bake something with the ingredient he wants. If he wants more than 1 item you can choose. If he wants a whole dish, you have to try your best to cook this.

What do you think? Maybe we can all start on Friday, try our bests and show pictures of your meals 2 weeks later. I think this should be enough time to come up with an idea and to find the time to realize it.

Anyone interested in doing something like this?

I love the idea! Though some of the zombie foods would be... interesting, to say the least.

Peeps in Waaahhhh, it's already been 10 days since I was last on Subeta!?! Oops. Following up with things = weakness... D:

Anywayyyy, we're going to go with Bitchin' in the Kitchen! Yay!

I think we're good to open the clan! And yeah, anyone can join afterwards. The only thing I'm still debating is opening an outside forum. I really need to be better at keeping up with things.

I LOVE the idea of the Pete game! I just hope Pete asks for something cheap. I'm on a super strict budget right now and can't use anything I don't already have. But, maybe I could use my own eyeball... PX

too bad life always interfere with fun. yay on the catchy name. i probably won't be joining outside forum. on subeta is good enough for me.

i'm now in the soup phase as in make soup, recycle the soup with new chicken/meat/fish, repeat. the flavor intensifies each day! suit my lazy lifestyle.

Okay guys, I will do it now. Pete says....

... bring me: [Item2=Chicken Eggroll]

Phew, I think I can do this! Seems to be not too hard and not too expensive. And, most important: No eyeballs or brains! I'll let you know in two weeks :D

I love soup! One of the best things about fall and winter is that you can eat soup and stew again <3 These are the dishes that always taste better on the second day, when all the flavors really come out.

As I've noticed, there's really no interest in this cult, and I don't spend much time on Subeta. So, I've decided to end this idea. HOWEVER, feel free to start up a thread in chit-chat. I would still love to have recipes and cooking tips shared between us! And, feel free to use the cook tag, as it's open to anyone.
