I've recently (yesterday) returned from a hiatus because my schedule became too hectic due to work and school. I just couldn't seem to find the time to come on here properly, and that had me wondering what the rest of Subeta does for a living.
I am a baker for a paleo meal delivery service and I also work at a very happy place. Some may say it is the happiest place on earth!
So, what do you do?
At the moment graduate school student. I worked the front desk of a motel before though.
Aww, thats a cute gig you have! Happy jobs are the best jobs.
I'm currently going to school to become a PE teacher, or coach, or something similar. Took me forever to figure out what I wanted to do - but then it hit me. I always loved PE, I played soccer for 8-9 years, was a volunteer park director for 4-5 years... and had a blast with all of it. So yeah!
I'm looking forward to getting there. In the mean time, its boring schoolwork with classes unrelated to my field... but it'll be worth it!
Edit: Also, random note, I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't grey-ified yet. What gives? :P
Working in a retirement home, yay me coughs
It's only supposed to be the first step towards my actual goal though, I want to study nursing education and become a teacher.
Currently unemployed student. In my country, you get a student grant to live off of while studying. "Live" is so much said - with the expensive housing, transportation and such .. it adds up. I'm trying to take commissions to add to my foodmoney. I'd get a job on the side, but with several full-time 6 month internships coming up, it's gonna be hard to convince anyone that they need me more than a person who wouldn't have to quit after 3 - 6 months.
I currently work for a dog walking and pet sitting/boarding company. It's only my third week, but I really like it so far even though this weekend is a bit chaotic for me.
It's quite a free reign job, and I just have to make sure everyone is walked between 10 and 2 for the most part, and I get exercise and finish about six hours worth of work in four and I'm getting paid pretty well to do it all, so that adds to the appeal.
I PLAY SUBETA FOR A LIVING. Well, pretty much lol. I work as a receptionist at an assisted living place and it's pretty quiet around here most of the time. So once I've gotten my work done, I get to go online. And where do I go online? HERE OF COURSE. XD So I pretty much love my job.
Me tooooo! :D
I guess I'm a housewife. I did work contracts with either the federal government or the city (clerical shit), but I don't with any regularity anymore. I cut waaay back on the contracts I accepted when my husband and I realised we never saw each other when we were both working. I'd be on a regular 9-5 mon-fri schedule, whereas he works overnights and never has weekends off. It wasn't worth it to us, so here we are. =)
I don't have a job per say.
However, I run a blog (have donation options so sometimes get paid for it). Also do writing commissions and am working on releasing e-books.
So I guess you can say my job title is the 'starving artist' XD
Would like a real job or at least to earn a decent income with what I'm doing one dayXD
You all have such interesting things that you do! And , that's a full time job if I've ever heard of one!
I work in marketing, but effectively manage the office as a whole that I work for. (We sell accessible bathing products across North America.) I manage the owner's second business which is a massage therapy clinic. And I freelance web design. Because I want to suffer, apparently. I get weekends off though so I can't really complain. Plus cats. Cats are all over the offices.
Currently unemployed, having moved states only last week. I've worked in both food and retail, so I'm not TOTALLY hopeless? My family could never afford college, though, so I have only a high school education.

Now if only other people saw it that way, too. D= It's actually surprising how judgey people can get when they hear that, then discover we don't have kids (yet? fingers crossed). They tend to react like I'm a freeloader who's just taking advantage of her hard-working husband or something. We both CHOSE for me to not be working; and here I thought feminism was all about having the choice? In any case, I try to not let it get to me too much. We're happy, and that's the important part. =)
I work in the telephonic customer service for a pretty big energy provider. With a loooot of rude customers, but sometimes it's really funny how ridiculous some people can be :D
I currently work two retail jobs. The first job (pet store), I've been there for about 6 years now. I started my second retail job a week after my birthday in February at a jean store.
I love my jobs :)
I take peoples blood from their bodies, using a syringe. Not exactly the happiest job ;-;
Full-time undergrad student, but I pay the rent working as a baker and barista at a local cafe :)
I'm a graphic designer. Within the past year I have gone down a rabbit hole of jewelry/product design, doing technical illustrations and putting together product presentations.
I'm not into the web stuff and the advertising stuff like what most graphic design is about. My goal is packaging design, which I did some in my last job before I got laid off. But my new job has nicer people, a better atmosphere, and better benefits. :3
