Teacake
Tea Cake
I've seen them used in both ways so I guess whichever works best. XD Teacake is used by Wikipedia and a few online dictionaries, and Tea Cake is used by Merriam Webster.
Most things that are "blue raspberry" don't taste much like raspberry in flavor. It's a vaguely fruity somethingorother artificial flavor that they happen to color medium blue. The language of artificial-color=has something to do with how it tastes left out medium blue for the longest time as blueberries are pretty dark and folks like their rainbows so something like "blue raspberry" was inevitable. But it's not a raspberry flavor.
I don't agree that changing razzberry to raspberry is correct. If consistency is what we're going for here, then all "blue raspberry" should change to "blue razzberry"
I said it should be changed because 'razzberry' isn't a word and there are only two 'razzberry' items which makes no damn sense considering how many raspberry items there are. And why change all the blue raspberry items to the wrong spelling? That makes even less sense.
Razzberry is a wrong spelling for "raspberry". Razzberry does not represent the flavor "raspberry" nor does it refer to the actual fruit "raspberry" Which is great! The flavor in question of these items (blue raspberry) has nothing to do with "raspberry" in flavor or in fruit content. Raspberry is totally completely wrong, and it only gets past the truth in advertising laws my country because it's understood that raspberries aren't blue so the consumer is presumed to understand that it isn't and could not be a natural flavor.
IMO razzberry is a better description of the actual flavor involved. If consistency is the issue, then this spelling should be preferred.
it actually does represent a raspberry flavor.
Not sure what blue raspberry things you've been eating but they always taste like raspberry to me lol
We've got doubloons and dubloons. Thiiinking all the dubloon items should be switched over to doubloon since it's the correct spelling!
Wasn't pinged so never checked back for this reply, but sorry, still disagree.
I doubt Ariel will want change them back either way, but considering the move from other British spellings I can hope.
Edit: Forgot what I came here to say, buh.
The 'corn dog' vs 'corndog' fix broke the Magical Corn Stalk (as seen here) and fixed it. But it's still broken. It's now giving out the corn dog foods, not (only) the minion, as if it's based on names. So perhaps the minion can pull a reverse Dragon Fruit or get a cutesy name (like all the other Magical Seed/Plant minions). Though I would hate to lose the pun /shrug. And I have a ticket in about reopening that thread (if that's how staff want to handle it) but figured it might also be addressed here.
Edit 2: The also ">got fixed but leaving the name as such makes them inconsistent with the rest of their set. Maybe they could at least become Blue and Orange.
I mean, you realize that blue raspberries are ACTUALLY BLUE RASPBERRIES, right ? As in, it's an actual berry that exists in nature. It's a raspberry. It tastes like a raspberry. It's dyed bright blue instead of its deep blue/black/purple tone... Just like how blueberry flavored stuff is dyed blue instead of having its purple hue. But that does not, in any way shape or form, change the flavor from anything BUT raspberry.
"Razzberry" seems to be a play on raspberry by someone that also doesn't understand it's an actual fruit.
I'm not sure how to go about writing this in the OP so I'll try pinging to see if anything can be done about this first. The minion should probably be renamed as Corndog and the magical corn stalk fixed so it goes back to giving out that minion only.
Ariel, are CW item names changing as well as official Subeta items? If so, these items were overlooked.
Speaking of CW's, the over-n-easy buzzcuts are fairly inconsistent.
Over-n-Easy Over-N-Easy OvernEasy
It's also supposed to be buzz cut, not buzzcut, I think. The default wig is also buzzcut, so not sure if that aspect should be changed.
Okay not really an item name fix but idk where else to post it. Bloodred pets are shown as 'BloodRed' with the capital R. Like "Apetname the female BloodRed Telenine" or "Your pet has changed into a BloodRed Irion", but every other bloodred thing on site has the lowercase r. I feel like the R should be changed to match all the other Bloodred content.
I hope that made sense.
, - A couple of other items that don't fit the changes that have been made. All "Darkmatter" items were changed to "Dark Matter". The three items below do not follow that format.
i don't think i saw this one on the list, so
high waisted vs high-waisted vs
(i think it's supposed to be hyphenated, but i'm not sure? a quick google didn't help at all p: )
Iunno if this has been brought up, but since licorice vs liquorice is still a thing... According to THIS it should be licorice since it's the more common way of spelling in the US.
, - Are CWs going to be falling under these name changes? I just found a whole bunch of CWs that are still "tea cup" instead of "teacup" and a few "paint brush" instead of "paintbrush". I bet there are more out there :(
