So she had no control just yet. Orion didn't realize it was that new to her. He didn't know how to use powers, but he had an idea that might help. "Well," he began, chewing on he tendons like gum, "if your power is anything like a Kagune, you need to think of it as an extension of yourself. Like another organ you can use. In my case, it's literal, in yours, I assume it'lol be a bit harder." He said, standing up. "There has to be some internal force that creates and manipulates the ice," he continued, his voice its usual quiet tone, "try and find that, then use it. For me, my Kagune is an Ukaku, which means it's located in my upper back. It has two channels between each shoulderblade and my spine." He took off his shirt, revealing his pale, thin body. Despite his size, however, his muscles were clearly strong and toned. Jack had a view of the wing-like tattoo that spread over his chest. In the center was a vertical eye. He turned to show his back, where there were tattoos of characters from demonic languages in lines, but there, exactly where he said they would be were two loosely circular masses that were dormant and black. Still, they had a look of organic quality to them. For the time being, they were flat to his skin, but the shiny, almost crystal-like material with its faint, red highlights seemed like it almost wanted out, as if to have a mind of its own. "Would you like to see?" He asked.

“So far it seems to go off emotions. Noticed that with the snow storm back at home, I tend to get really cold when things change.” She nodded between breaks in his explanation. She watched him carefully, taking in all the visuals he had hidden under his shirt. “I have a feeling too that my dreams are clues. Just now I was able to sort of reach forward and a sort of blast came from my fingers” She said slowly and carefully demonstrating holding her hands out in front of her, but so nothing would happen. “Yes, what does it do?” she asked again looking up towards him, “Well if possible I guess” Bruce had gone back to her jacket pawing at it pulling it away a little bit from the now melting ice, settling back down facing the two of them watching intently with his head on his paws.

With a single will, his Kagune extended it, finding its shape as if it were semi-liquid. They took the shape of the bone structure of wings, with a span of sixteen feet (eight feet per wing), but they still had a fluidity while retaining their crystal-like nature. It was a strange organ. "I can harden them at will," he added, hardening the tips of each extension to a razor sharp point, "and they are stronger and faster than any other part of my body." He lodged the tips into the creases of the metal on the ceiling and lifted himself up without damaging the metal. "They can change shape to a limit, and when they're active, all of my senses are sharper than before." Without breaking eye contact, and with lightning speed. He impaled a small, moth like bug only centimeters from Jack's head. "Now," he started, retracting his Kagune back to normal and slipping his shirt on,"try to find your focal point. Where do you get the coldest?" He asked.

Jack’s eyes widened watching the extra part extend from him. “Oh wow” She breathed her eyes not leaving him. “So they kinda work like fancy hands?” She asked before flinching, not even noticing the moth “Dang…” She let out a sigh of relief when they started go go back. “I feel like it could be when I get angry, or maybe scared” She nodded thinking then looking down at her hands “The tips of my fingers are still a little blue. I don’t know what was going on in that dream, but I feel like something bad, so it might have been a mixture of anger and fear.” Jack brow furrowed bitting her lip a little looking at her hands. She tried focusing on that feeling, trying to lower her temperature. “Like I feel, that if I was mad enough, then I just kinda went like this” Jack turned facing the table flinging her arms and hands out in front of her. Her fingers pointed towards the glass as small flakes hit the side of the glass facing her. “That would happen” She said with a bit of shock and surprise that something actually worked.

"Nicely done." Orion said with a smile "But that's easy. It could be a fluke that you even get any out. Try focusing on something a little more challenging." He added. "When I first started using my Kagune," he began, extending a single limb of his right Ukaku up out of the neck hole in his shirt, and over his shoulder in front of him, "the one who was training me made me write my name a thousand times until it looked like handwriting." As he said this, he scratched his name into the metal of the floor in a more elegant cursive than most could with their hands. Underneath that he wrote "Jack" and underneath that, he wrote "Bruce Wayne".

"Once you can do something like that, you'll be killing moths with icicles." He said with a smile, looking up at her from behind his unkept, whit hair. It was strange to think, but he had never smiled with his ghoul eyes and his Kagune out unless it was bloodlust. Now, he was smiling because he felt a faint glimmer of a long forgotten emotion: happiness.

“Well that’s all fine and dandy… and well very impressive that penmanship is better than mine” she laughed “But that I sort of can do, I can get frost to trace my finger, as you’ve seen on the glass and I’ve done it on windows. So… How can i focus on something like that?” She asked trying to think starting to pace a bit her hands on her hips. She stopped by the table looking at the glass again. “Unless for right now do i just keep trying that?” She asked looking back over her shoulder at him tossing her hair back that got in the way.

Backing away that’s what Jack decided to do before really getting an answer. Staring at the glass she tried it again, flashing her hands and fingers towards the glass. Nothing. Trying again, and again, the same result as the first… Nothing. “Okay… That’s not working” She said getting frustrated getting a little more angry staring at the glass.

((I have been informed by that I don't need a char sheet, so here goes. ^.^))

The young man sat on one of the benches near the path to the dorms. An even younger woman sat beside him, though there was enough space between the pair that it was clear they were not a couple. The man had ruddy brown hair with a natural wave hanging in front of his even browner eyes, and his faintly tanned skin was sprinkled with freckles. He sat in a slouch, leaning his elbows on his thighs and letting his hands dangle between them.

"So you had the dream again," the young lady commented, watching him with pale grey eyes. Her face was neatly framed by light brown hair cut in an angled bob to just past her jaw. "Tell me how it goes again, Jareth?"

Jareth sighed and rubbed his face with one hand. There were circles under his eyes -- he'd clearly not slept well for the past few nights. "Right, well, it starts out innocuous enough. I'm walking to class, and there's people around and it's sunny. Then suddenly the sky grows clouded, and I get a bad feeling. I turn around and there's this...thing behind me. I don't even know what it looks like, just that it's bad news. So I start running." He paused, but the woman just waited patiently for him to continue. "I run toward the arts building, because that's closest, only suddenly there's nobody in sight. The doors are locked, and I can tell that thing is closing in, so I go to ESH, but the door there's locked too, so I turn around. The thing chases me lunges, or leaps, or whatever, and I lift my arms to protect myself as I turn away, expecting it to strike. Only instead, rocks burst up from the ground, and knock it away. The ground under my feet shakes. And then I wake up. Amuné, I've had this dream before, but never so often in such a short time. I can barely sleep. Do you have any idea what it means? Have you...y'know, seen anything?" Jareth dropped his voice for the last few words.

"I'm not sure," she replied, leaning back. "All I know is something's coming. I can't get a clear idea of what." Amuné Ris had the gift of Sight, but it was just as often a curse. She saw things she didn't wish to, and couldn't always See what she wanted. Not to mention the times when her visions were just plain wrong. "I think a change is coming. I've tried to get a better look but...." She spread her hands in a "what can you do?" gesture and sighed. "Sorry."

((OOC: I'll definitely make another character tomorrow, but for tonight, I'll just post this.))

IC: Kreos leaned against a road light-like structure, an orangish flame burning from the lamp at the top. Kreos stole a quick look upwards to see the clockwork buildings around him in this city of bronze and brass. He couldn't say he had seen places quite like this before. "Where will fate guide me next?" he cheerfully thought as he straightened himself, giving his scythe a quick tug to make sure it was secure on his back, his hand slightly touching the blade's edge, barely even noticing the now bleeding wound. "Ow." He said to himself, sucking on the cut in the palm of his hand. Kreos gave his hand a few flicks to air it out, before he started walking.

Kreos had rented a room from a nearby hotel for the night, however his metal room was particularly cold, the lack of warmth coming from the room next to his. He would've been fine with it had he not heard the sound of something similar to metal on metal. It wasn't a screeching sound like it usually would be, more like a clean cut into metal, but it was still the sound of metal on metal none the less.

Kreos exited his room to knock on the door to the one next to him, hearing voices from the inside of the room, meaning that there were definitely people inside, though one's voice continued to sound more and more irritated.

"How many are there?" Victor's voice asked over the radio. "Nine." Shiva replied with an almost playful eagerness. Killing demons was this water elemental's favorite thing in life. She brushed her dark brown waves of hair out of the way so that she could look through the scope of the rail cannon she was laying behind. It made her look smaller than she already was. She was only five feet, three inches tall, and she was a lean, mean, killing machine. With her off hand, she touched the scar that ran across her neck as she looked through the glass with sapphire eyes. She remembered the fire elemental who did it, and hoped that wherever he was, that he was far away from all of this. "Wait." She alerted, her airy voice cracking slightly. To most it was a cute, quirky voice. She just wished she could have her old voice back. "There are two civilians." She said, laying her crosshairs on the two on the bench. The two were surrounded by Hidden, a kind of demon that takes he form of a normal person to blend in. "I'm going to have to go down there." She added, getting up and leaving the cannon there. She had on form fitting cargo pants, combat boots and a tank top that doubled as a sports bra. She took after her old mentor, Tsitua. With a running start, she leapt off the rooftop just as the ghostly, boney, dementor-like demons revealed themselves. The strange thing was, they paid Shiva no mind. They were targeting the couple.

Orion laughed softly at Jack's frustration. She was cute when she was mad, but his amusement halted when he heard an almost inaudible scuff of a footstep. It wasn't that someone was out there, it was that some one was trying not to be heard out there. He glared at the door and motioned for Jack to stay where she was. He kept his Kagune out, but hidden under his shirt as he changed his eyes back to blue and oped the door ever so slightly so as not to reveal the inside, but also not conspicuously. What he saw there honestly didn't surprise him. Not much did anymore, but the guy looked like he was ready to take on a whole army by himself. In an effort to create a ruse, he said, "you're not Sophia." With pretend disappointed surprise.

From the moment he noticed the warrior that carried the scythe, Sowrdsman was determined to recruit him, so like a shadow, he followed the being through the city. He watched as it went into the Guilded Siren. Under his respirator, Swordsman smirked. He had one of his first Sybil meals here. The frightened bar maid, the angry janitor, and the pretty girl that he was saving for a rainy day. His respirator released pressure, and he moved in a little closer.

"Jareth, stand up but stay calm." The woman's voice had lost all trace of anything other than business. She leapt to her feet, reaching in her satchel for the long knife she kept there. It never hurt a lady to be prepared.

"Huh? Amuné, what -- holy @#$%! What the hell are those things?!" Despite being at least twenty and long past puberty, Jareth's voice cracked. He got to his feet as well, turning so he could watch his friend's back.

"I don't know. But give me a minute and I'll know more." She waited, her stance ready, until the first of the demons came towards them. Silver-alloyed steel flashed as her free hand shot out in a fist. The moment she made contact she triggered her Sight, seeking a vision to know the weaknesses of these things, and their style of attack.

((OOC: I lied, I'm too lazy to make another OC, so I'll stick with Kreos for the rest of the RP))

IC: "You're not Sophia." The man at the door told Kreos, "Um... No, I'm not, but hey, can you keep it down a bit?" He asked, scratching the back of his head. When he was met with nothing but a blank stare, he simply said, "Thanks." And walked off. The man at the door was cloaked in a sense of death, but Kreos simply shrugged it off. He eventually came to the bar area of the inn he was staying, just outside of the hallway.

Kreos scanned the pub area of "The Guilded Siren". It was a clean enough place, just the usual two drunks throwing punches at each other, along with the Sybilian steampunk-like decor. As Kreos sat down at the table he asked a bar maid for a simple glass of lemonade. He wasn't quite old enough for actual drink yet, though he just didn't like the taste of mortal alcohol, tasting fairly vile to him personally.

Once the drink came to Kreos' table, he took out a small flask, pouring only about two or three tablespoons worth of its contents, consisting of a golden liquid. He stirred the nectar in with the lemonade and took a sip, a satisfied sigh leaving his lips, while he leaned back in his brass chair. Suddenly, he heard the quick release of air behind him, and he immediately unsheated his scythe and swung it around, coming within an inch of the person's neck before stopping.

"Oh, its just the guy from next door that has been stalking me for the past hour." Kreos said casually, sheathing his scythe once again. He sensed the man's presence for a while now, his aura of decaying flesh following Kreos while he walked through the city earlier. "Can I ask why you've been following me though?" Kreos responded soon after, sitting backwards on his chair.

[there seems to be a miscommunication. The Guilded Siren is a Saloon, that also has rooms, in which Jack and Orion are staying. No need for editing, I can work with this, but just for future reference. That's my fault, I forget y'all weren't in before. I shall reply after so I can reply to all three at once and we'll follow this order from now on: then Vintage then Jack then myself, for organization's sake.]

Jack looked back over her shoulder as the dynamic in the room changed, she tried not moving much but turning so she could comfortably watch the door, just in case. Things started to flash through her head at a rapid pace. If something really was going to be wrong, was she going to be able to help, or just nip at the unknown’s nose much like the childhood story of her namesake states. A small sigh of relief passed through her lips with little flakes falling from her breath as it seems Orion just shrugged the person off.

“That was weird” Jack said softly as she heard the unknown man leave. She still kept a steady eye on Orion not wanting to go back to what she was doing until she was sure everything was okay. She twinkled her fingers stretching them out, they were still chilled and had a slight crack to them that sounded as if someone chipped a thin icicle.

"Seriously, Shiva, you could've killed them with the cannon." Victor said over the mic in Shiva's ear. "Yeah, and risk killing two civilians with the shockwave from a rail." Siva sarcastically replied, "sounds like a winner idea."

She came to the opening with the bench, the Hidden were closing in. She wasn't going to make it. "Victor, my rifle!" She shouted as she did a baseball slide. When she stopped, an assault rifle resembling a futuristic M4 materialized and landed in her ready hands. Silver would be enough to hurt them badly. She only needs their attention. She shouldered the weapon and smashed down the trigger, spraying bullets at the demons. She emptied the magazine only to realize that two had taken position to shield the rest. As they writhed in agony on the ground, she watched as the hidden, who could only be killed by pure iron, defended on the civilians.

The move with the scythe created enough wind to toss Swordsman's hair around, but he had no reaction. His ghoul eye was locked on Kreos, the other was hidden behind his silvery hair. He felt a tingle of excitement run up his spine like a pair of hands caressing him. Such power... He wanted it. He no longer wanted a partner, it was time for a meal. He looked Kreos over with hungry eyes. If he had just one bite of such a being, he would be even stronger than he already was. He needed that strength. He had to go up to the middle tier one day, where they were even stronger than those on the lower tier. He released his Kagune, a deep red colored, blade-like koukaku (coming from under the shoulder blade) on his right. In addition, he drew his own sword. "Tell me your name," he growled metallically, "I want to know you before I eat you."

Orion heard the voice downstairs. He didn't know if Jack could even hear it, but he knew there was no more time to practice. He retrieved his mask from the satchel on the table. It was a plain, white mask with simple eye holes, but when he put it on. It was the Blankface. "Fun's over. Time to put that to good use." He said, pointing at her ice mound bed. And with that he crept down the stairs. It was time for redemption. Killing the Swordsman would be the first act of good that he had performed in a long time.

[for the record, ghouls are not undead. But I like the decaying aura thingy ^_^]

Amuné's eyes flickered as the world shifted for a moment while her Sight took hold. Fortunately the silver in her knife hurt the creature in front of her, making it fall back. "Silver hurts them, but pure iron is needed to kill them. ...Jareth, your tools. Some of them are iron, right?" "Uh, no, steel mostly. But I have some chain...?" "Right, give it here." The woman switched her knife to her off hand and extended the other as the sound of gunfire filled their ears. Amuné grimaced, but when the young man handed her a short length of chain, her fist closed around it. She started it spinning, readying herself for the next attack. "Get down, Jareth. I don't want to hit you." "'K-kay!"

Amuné spared the woman with the gun a quick glance, but soon she was in the middle of a group of demons, all of them trying to get to her, or past her to her friend. She used the iron chain as a flail, swinging it into heads and limbs. The silver knife slashed arms and faces, and the young woman danced through the monsters, a whirl of pure fury. All the self-defense and martial arts classes she'd taken were put to use. She kicked kneecaps and stomped feet, slicing muscles necessary for movement and doing everything she could to disable her opponents, since she couldn't kill them with just a blunt iron weapon.

Seeing that the girl had it held down, shiva realized she had some time. "Iron core rounds." She ordered, holding out a hand. Two magazines appeared, taped together. She caught them and slapped the first one in. She took aim and put a small, smoldering hole in the Hidden that was closest to the girl. It hit the ground and disintegrated. After that, she began pumping out rounds, managing to take three more of them out at the end of the first mag. She released it, flipped it and slapped the second magazine in. "Moved!" She shouted, her voice cracking again as she resumed fire, this time with more concentration. "Stupid civilians messing up a perfectly good snipe." She muttered as she let bullets fly.

Jareth pressed against the wood of the bench, but when a demon came at the pair from Amuné's blind side, he whacked it with a heavy wrench before the girl at his side snapped, "Down! Now!" and used her silvered knife to slice its eyes so it could no longer see. She didn't let the disintegration of the creature throw her off, nor did she put her weapons down even when it seemed that all the beasts were gone. There was still the matter of just who had come to their rescue -- and why.

"Who are you?" she asked warily, the chain still twirling a slow circle in her hand. "And what do you want with us?" She'd had people come after her before, for her gift, but something told her this was different. She'd hear the newcomer out, at least.
