Yeah exactly, and I guess that's why I don't feel the need to own all of the pets that I love. The images still exist on the site, I can appreciate them whenever I want. But I can definitely see it being harder if you get inspiration from the pet, that's just not me though. ;~;

Very likely. I've always found it hard to simply sit down and write quad based characters. I tried back in my RPing and neopet days and I just couldn't write them well. They came out horrible or just so basic that they were mary sue characters.

I found that generally I tend to write much better human characters than animals so other than shapeshifting characters( supernatural human appearing creatures with animal forms) the majority of my characters are human in general. In that respect, the subeta pets themselves are just shells for me to give personality to existing characters that I already create especially since a number of my pets are human based characters set in real times.

i.e. Anatasiy is a WWII shipbuilding tycoon, Constable is set in the Gold Rush, etc..etc.. I relate better to real place, real period based pets so other than the fact that some of my characters aren't set in any particular time or place, the ones that are tend to usually be set to real time periods and places. Constable lives in a mining town in California during the Gold Rush. Roccoco is set in Paris, France.

As for pets.. when I first joined the site I thought 10 pets would be enough. I remember thinking that was a large amount of pets and wondering if I would ever get to that amount. When I got 10 pets I realized that it wasn't enough and yeah.. points to how many pets she owns now. XD

Haha, I plan to stop soon. Actually I'm more or less done for the moment... I have two more in mind that I want to create, but I want to have the potions first before I do create them. They're on the pricey side as far as potions go, so it'll be a little while before I have them.

I guess being interested in cartoons and anthropomorphic art for so long since my early childhood has had some direct influence on how I see my growing brood onsite. I love the fact that Subeta doesn't lock you into any particular universe and you are totally free to explore and drop into random worlds as you see fit for your pets.

Most of my original pets have grown into being addressed as pets, and see themselves as their original Subetan four-legged forms. Others like Rowlf, a fan pet (and my favourite Muppet besides Gonzo), is slightly more anthropomorphic and Muppet-like in his demeanour as I've tried to keep the character's original spirit as part of his Subetan form (primarily The Muppet Movie version of him).

...then when I get to Ten Cents, .Sunshine. and -Hercules-...I figure I've set the rulebook on fire with my versions of their original forms, which in their case is epitomised by a long@$$ed ongoing Facebook-RP with several of my closest besties spanning about six or seven years so far. I've pretty much tossed a hand grenade (or two!) into the "conventional standards" of anthropomorphic behavioural studies in relation to those three pets of mine. I'm trying to decide how to approach their pet pages, because I have more than three specific ideas for each of them and I'm an indecisive idiot at best.

It's not so much laziness (well, okay, it is, it's that and lots of procrastination and tossing out of ideas and whatnot XD!), it's generally the fact I need the sP and everyone's colourations/companion pets done and dusted before even setting foot remotely on that giant to-do story list...and then I'll break another sP/CSC goal and tell myself "Hey, let's go browse the pound!" or "This'd be a perfect time to make another pet!"...and inevitably, I end up adding to that list and later telling myself, "You idiot!"

Most of my pets' colourations are based on their names. Others took a dang long time to decide what felt absolutely right for them. I'm odd in the sense that I have "conversations" with my pets when I'm trying to sketch other things, which inevitably leads to browsing Neocolours' Subeta colourations site and going a wee bit overboard with it.

I'll get where I want them all to be one day. Hopefully chuckles
