Hi there! We do have some ideas for future activities/events/plots and whatnot, but we'd like to hear from you! What would you like to see get implemented into the cult?
QUIDDITCH!!! Although that would be very hard to do. :P More interaction with the Professors! Yule Ball? Hogsmeade plot or something to do with the Founders? Crossword Puzzles or Wordsearch? Trivia Clubs
Also, this really isn't an idea but I'd love to have a post with all the Professors listed....kind of like a reference sheet ^.^
I like 's suggestions. A Yule Ball could coincide with Masquerade and could be a masked ball. Bonus: We could all really dance with each other! I think that would be really fun.
I'd also love a master list of professors (teacher's table?), that lists all the stuff we know about them so far. Just to make it easier to keep track of who teaches what. :D
Quiddich could be fun, but I'm not sure how it would work.
I'm trying to think of some other ideas now! :P
Cleared by staff: Maximum height is 325px.
This is actually a really great idea! Thanks girls. :D
We do plan on putting up a master list of the teachers eventually. We just need to sit down and flesh out the little bios to go with them. ;)
Do you have any specific kind of clubs in mind? This is something I'd love to work out.
Also this question is posed to both of you and anyone else out there. How would you feel about us setting up an IRC chat?
Dueling Club, Gobstone Club, Magical Creatures Club, Orchestra.....It seems like there are clubs for the school subjects taught (list of clubs).
I have no idea what an IRC chat is. D:
I also think it would be great if we had some interactions with the House ghosts. (:
I'd like to mark occasions like Halloween and Christmas, but not with a big affair since the site gets busy with Morostide and Luminaire. Maybe more feasts with other features?
O.W.L.s and N.E.W.T.s after we've completed all our coursework?
I've never really RPed before but more activities to foster that. Does anyone in the cult have pointers from things like Wayward Squirrel?

Hm..... We could also have guest lecturers special assemblies (to teach us about other wizard-related things) fieldtrips to the other schools or having students from the other schools visit (this would involve cult members helping out with characters)
um.....one way I can see Quidditch happening is if we used a random generator to determine the outcome of an action (i.e. if the Bludger hits a player, or if the Quaffle is saved, if the Seeker catches the snitch, etc) or the winners of the match I'm not sure if people will be into something like that.
I know other cults do IRC movie nights. Maybe the IRC could be our version of Slug Club (for active participants, not favored students)?
Another club idea is S.P.E.W.
Parties and balls. Excursions into the Forbidden Forest, Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, Hogsmeade, and other off-campus places. RP to coincide with site events when possible.

Hogsmeade trips~~ Special thread we can use once a month to RP in Hogsmeade and maybe do some kind of scavenger/treasure hunt? Like a list of items to collect and put in trade not with specific items in mind, but things that we'd possibly buy as students visiting Hogsmeade that match the criteria (a green candy, a joke toy, etc.)?
EDIT :: Items could be used in shop to fund activities?
We actually do already have a shop for cult funding! Donation Shop

I know~~ I meant those items from Hogsmeade treasure hunts could go into said shop?
Oh, I'm sorry! I misunderstood. ^^;
Going on Italia's idea a herbology club would be fun as well a lot of people are into plants and can be worked into the spells galore stuff.
Quidditch seems like a fun idea that can be done virtually with partial "narrators" done with randomizers. Each house takes some time to choose their teams based on an essay or characteristics to what they like, once teams are done then games can happen. Mostly they are equalizers since there are the same amount per team. The activities can be related to quidditch and be assigned points like in a match, then that can be assigned points towards the house and maybe even a shiny house cup.
Something similar can be done for a Tri-wizard. It takes planning and such but it can be a lot of fun for those of us that love quidditch.
Quidditch and Hogsmeade trips are definitely at the top of my list (the former being a lifetime priority honestly lol). I actually hope we can celebrate Halloween in either a similar still as the books (banquet) or in our own way (ball or bash).
and anyone else that has any ideas.
I'd love to come back around to the Clubs idea. Do you have any ideas of what the Clubs would do? Would it just kinda be a RP thread? Chat? Or would there be some sort of activity around it?
maybe we'll start off with that one then and take it from there!
Or maybe we can start with two? We can pick the two most popular clubs people have mentioned in their student bios. :)
Here is a list of the clubs people have mentioned in the character bios (I also included the number of people who have mentioned it): Ancient Studies (4) Arithmancy Club (1) Art Club (5) [including Photography and Forbidden Forest Oil Painting Club] Astronomy Club (5) Book Club (5) Charms Club (3) Choir (6) Dueling (6) Exploding Snap (1) Ghoul Studies (1) Gobstones Club (2) Herbology (4) Magical Theory (2) OWL/NEWT Study Group (2) Potions Club (11) Quidditch (12) Wizard Chess (1) Divination Club (2) [*Xylomancy (1), *Astrology (1)]
Thanks for the info! That's really helpful. :)
I'm wondering if we should go with the most popular or pick one that is sort of popular but would be easy to do. Like maybe start with Dueling Club and maybe like Book Club or something. I really want to get Quidditch started, but I don't know if we have enough interest to get all the teams together, and I still haven't quite puzzled the mechanics out.
I think starting out with Book Club and Dueling Club is a great idea. I can set up a club interest thread (if you think that's a good idea) so that we can see which clubs/other extracurriculars people are interested in having. We can also combine some clubs together like having a Music club or having a thread labeled "Music Wing" (something like that) where it would be people in Choir and Orchestra.
I think once the mechanics have been figured out then we can have a Quidditch club (people wouldn't necessarily have to play with their House). It can build up to the Quidditch team and official games. It might help bring up interest.
