HI all! We have some pretty exciting news for you today.
The month of September will be our very first Founders Month! We'll be taking this time to celebrate the Hogwarts founders with one week for each.
September 1 through 7 will be Godric Gryffindor week. September 8 through 14 will be Helga Hufflepuff week. September 15 through 21 will be Rowena Ravenclaw week. September 22 through 28 will be Salazar Slytherin week.
During the remaining two days of the month, we will be focusing on house unity!
All activities, minus class lessons, will be centered around the Hogwarts founder of the week. For example, all activities posted during September 1 through 7 will have to do with Godric Gryffindor and his accomplishments!
Please note that Founders Month will not replace the term ball/festival/event - there will still be a separate event at the end of the term!
As an added bonus, during Founders Month we will be holding a small competition. Any time you participate during Founders Month, you will be adding to your house's activity point tally. It doesn't matter how many House Points you accumulate for the activity, you will receive 1 activity point. At the end of the month, the house with the most activity points will be given a leg up in the term ball/festival/event - your house will collectively choose the type of activity we use for one of the event activities! This will give you an opportunity to choose something your house really shines in. If your house does really well in word scrambles, for example, you may want to choose that!
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know. I'm hoping I covered everything, but I am also a little on the sick side so I may have missed something. Looking forward to the start of September!!
