Oh my god I'm honestly relieved. I've been involved in maybe three debates there, one of which was about when teenagers should start being permitted to have sex/if at all (which got out of a hand a lot), one which was debating what did or didn't count as child abuse, and one about polyamory that was frequented by a self-admitted pedophile. Not a great representation of the community.

Deleting a sub-forum vs coding a new idea/adding onto a existing part of the site is a bit different.

However, thank you Keith for removing them! :) I visited only maybe one time to post my opinion on something but that is a place I didn't visit much. I know another websites forums has a place like this but it is modded so if it gets out of hand the thread just gets closed for so long.

I don't think the debate forums ever really brought anything in, so seeing them gone is amazing. :D
