"Well, my mom and my dad are both magical. My father sits on a foreign Ministry of Magic Council that promotes the sharing of religious archaeological sites between muggles and wizards and my mom is a magical archaeologist in Greece. My dad wanted to name me Raphael, 'God has healed' in ancient Hebrew' and my mom wanted to name me Kain, acquired' in biblical Greek. So, as a compromise, they named me Kainra." Kainra said and took a deep breath. "Oh, and as a result of my parents' jobs, I've spent ever summer exploring Greece and other countries. It's fun, all of the things I've seen and all of the good books I've found...oh, and for foods, I like anything. Well, anything except onions. And music," Kainra shrugged "anything, I suppose, except rap." He walked over to the bean box and took a purple-ish colored one. He popped it in his mouth. "Mmmm, sugared violet."

"Sounds fun. I look forward to learning how to play Snitch Snatcher and Exploding Snap!" Kainra said.

Fade thought quietly about Amanda’s () question. For a moment it was difficult to tell if he was going to respond. His face had gone blank and his eyes sort of glazed over. After a moment of silence, he perked back up. “It’s easy to get lost in the dungeons, don’t deviate unless your with a Slytherin. Umm, never eat the greenish dessert pie on Wednesdays, it smells OK but it’s made of kale… So I mean, if you actually like kale go for it.” He shuddered slightly. “Oh and I’m not sure, but I heard that there was a secret way into the restricted section in the Library. But I haven’t been able to find it… Yet. Not that I’m looking…” He squinted nervously, and fell silent as a very energetic girl joined the room. () Curiously he observed as the other students took turns with the beans. Not exactly brave enough to take one for himself, he sat and watched with amusement as a number of them were hastily spat back out.

Chase the cat meanwhile found himself increasingly interested in the small items the humans were tossing around. Very sweetly he circled a few legs, in the hopes of being rewarded with a treat. Fade scoffed when he noticed his cat’s antics, but didn’t make any motion to have him stop.

Giggles "I am sorry that happened Beth! At least we have enough pumpkin juice to go around! Well grass is not as bad as vomit. I have seen others react to eating that one and... it is scary." Gaia gets a yarn ball she crochet in case there were cats around and tosses it to the floor for Luna and Chase to play with.

In the midst of fun and beans Gaia notices the quiet guy concentrating on something. She tosses a bean , giggles, and waves enthusiastically. "HI! Would you like some juice?"

Then she looks around to Kainra who actually answered all her questions with her mouth hanging open she did a squeal after he was done. "I have always been obsessed with Greece! I was in muggle school and I read about all sorts of history and myths!" Gaia is so excited jumping that she grabs Kainra in a jumping hug while she comments "Isn't there an archangel with the name Raphael? The healer? THAT is so cool!!" Gaia realizes she is still holding Kainra and stops. She apologizes for being weird. mutters "Sorry I... I didn't mean to ... erm..." She sits on the floor to play with the cats.

Could you imagine trying Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans for the first time and having the very first bean be vomit flavored? What a revolting experience."

"I should check up on Moony," Beth thinks to herself. "Be right back!" she shouts as she runs up to the dormitories. She looks around the room and immediately spots her baby griffin. Moony is on her bed awake as if he had been waiting for her. "Come with me, Moony" she tells him.

Beth returns to the common room with Moony and notices . "Hi. I'm Beth and this is Moony. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Beth turns to Kainra and Gaia. "Did I miss something?" she asks herself, noticing that Gaia is now sitting on the floor.

Gaia looks up at the question "I ... erm... yeah" Gaia gasps as she takes in Moony "SHE IS ADORABLE! Can I play with her? What does she eat? Does she CUDDLE? Gaia looks up impatiently.

Kainra chuckled a bit. "Nope, didn't miss much." He replied to Beth. "Oh, and Gaia. If you want, I can tell you about my traveling experiences later on? And yes, there is an archangel named Raphael, which is where my dad got that name he wanted for me." Kainra smiled and looked at the cat Gaia was playing with. "No sorries needed, Gaia."

Moony looks at Gaia and Kainra () with curiosity.

"Do you have any pets?" she asks them.

Gaia looks up excitedly at Kainra "REALLY?!?!" That would be amazing! I might have a book on Greece somewhere in my trunk! You let me know and we can talk about it! I will provide the candy and you provide your stories! Deal?" Gaia grins at Kainra and thinks of her friend Ethel. Gaia says out loud "Anyone seen Ethel? () I think I saw her pet snake in our dormitory, but I haven't seen her." Gaia starts looking around the room while popping a Tutti-Frutti bean in her mouth.

Gaia ponders on Beth's words... something behind her eyes sparks up and Gaia starts looking in her bag. "You know Beth" () Gaia keep looking in her bag "people have always made fun of my weird habits of always having snacks in my bag." AHA! Gaia found was she was looking for. "This here is muggle beef jerky! Personally I only like it from time to time but I think Moony might like it. Can I give him a piece? :D If he likes it you can have the rest for him!" Gaia extends her free hand at Moony see if he likes her.

Moony walks toward Gaia and sniffs her hand. He lays down beside her.

"He seems to really like you," remarks Beth.

Gaia breaks of a piece of jerky and gives it to Moony and pats his head. "You know Beth they call me the animal whisperer" giggles "I have always gotten along better with animals they seem to like me too... maybe it is the fact that I always have food in my bag!" Giggle-snorts. Gaia pets Moony some more.

Fade looked over just in time to be hit square in the chest with the bean tossed at him. He watched as it rolled down his robes and came to a stop on his lap. Lifting the bean so he could better determine its color, his brow furrowed. Red could mean anything. Fade hoped for Cinnamon as he fearlessly popped it into his mouth.

Chase turned from the leg he was rubbing against and sprang after the bean Gaia had tossed toward Fade. When Fade refused to share, Chase meowed a few times before putting on a pouty face. Turning away he then noticed the ball of string that Luna was batting at, and quickly trotted over to join the fun. It wasn’t food, but string was the second best thing.

As soon as the bean touched Fade’s tongue, he was sure that his entire face turned as bright red as his hair had. It was hot, like burning hot. Fade’s eyes began to water and he spit the bean out into the crackling fireplace. Wiping a few drops of sweat from his brow with the back of his sleeve, Fade hastily accepted the Pumpkin Juice Gaia offered. “Please.” He wheezed as his tongue threatened to melt from his mouth. “Th-thank you.” Instead of drinking it he just stuck his tongue into the liquid and was relieved to find that the Pumpkin juice actually diluted most of the heat.

With his tongue still immersed in his cup of juice, Fade’s blush was renewed as Beth () introduced herself and Moony. Swallowing a big gulp he smiled nervously. “I’m Fade.” He pointed at the Bengal cat, now thoroughly tangled in the ball of yarn. “That goof is Chase.” By now his hair had begun to fade into a pastel sort of pink, on its way back to his natural bluish blonde tint as the fire in his mouth dissipated.

Gaia looks up from Moony to notice Fade changing to red. It was bod mortifying and really funny. "Are you all right, Fade? I can get you more juice or jelly bean? giggles I'm sorry that happened! I had no idea." She breaks off two more pieces of beef jerky and gives some to Chase and Luna. Gaia starts working on untangling Chase and getting the yarn in a ball again.

"Sounds like a deal. I'll provide the stories, you provide the candy." Kainra replied to Gaia. "Sounds fun."

"No pets, sadly. I've always wanted a cat, but never got around to obtaining one." He said and sighed. "Oh well, one day probably." He bent down and pet Moony gently, hoping to not disturb her, after she ate some of the jerky.

"Oh, and hello Fade. Nice to meet you. I'm Kainra."

"YAAAY" Gaia does a little dance, some whooping and starts thinking of proper Greece stories snacks.

Ethel was halfway under her bed when she heard someone mention her name. She immediately popped up, bonking her head on the slats of the bed frame in the process. "Oooorg, oof," she groaned and, clutching her head with one hand, wriggled free and glared at the treacherous furniture. "Betrayal most foul. I thought we had something, bed." The bed did not even try to defend itself, rude. Luckily, Ethel was nothing if not forgiving so she put the matter behind her and continued the hunt for her errant familiar.

"Wade? Wade... shoot, where's he gone off to this time?" Figuring that the Common Room as as good a place as any to check (Wade was something of a social butterfly) Ethel poked her head into the room and waved at the assembled. "Hallo, Gaia, everyone. Anyone seen a snake? I've lost mine..."

Gaia stops thinking about story snacks at the sound of Ethel. "ETHEL! There you are! Wade is next to the window. I am not sure he is enjoying all the fluffiness around... Why are you holding your head? Why are you flustered? Did you find my stash of food in your trunk?"

"Wade!" At 's direction, she spun on a heel and leveled a stern look at her wayward snake. "We've talked about this. No scooting off without letting me know first." Wade was clearly contrite: she could tell because he didn't move or react in any way. Classic Wade.

Ethel scooped him up and unwound him carefully, giving him a once over. After she was satisfied that he hadn't dinged himself up, she draped him around her neck. He immediately hid in the baggy folds of her shirt and Ethel more or less forgot about him for the moment.

"I didn't find your stash: I was too busy looking for Wade!" She flounced into a free chair and looked at all of the gathered animals with obvious interest. They were all so adorable!

"Wade has been here the whole time. I think he saw something he liked and has been by the window the whole time. What do snakes eat? Do they get snakes?" Gaia ponders if she in fact has something in her bag for snakes... she makes a mental note to do research at the library. "Ethel, want some pumpkin juice?"

"Cats are lovely animals. I wanted a cat myself before I got my baby griffin." OOC: Moony is a boy. c:

Beth notices Fade's hair change from red to its natural hue. "Wow! Is he a Metamorphmagus too?" she thinks to herself. "Would you like some more pumpkin juice?" she asks him.

"I am sure my career will cross paths with animals, but I want to have an Apothecary and volunteer as a healer"
