(1) Pick and choose your battles wisely: Don't fight over every little thing. Don't nag. He left the seat up again? Let it go. She is late again for dinner? Let it go. Save your fights for when it's over something more meaningful. Don't get caught up over the little things that don't really matter in the long run.

(2) Forgiveness: Your partner will do things that upset and hurt you. It doesn't make it right, but we all make mistakes. You'll mess up too maybe even worse.
