|| , , ~~ It's okay, I just wanted folks to get some party packages. I'll send you yours, HERO darling.
"Oh, yeah, in Charms? I remember that lesson. I made a lavender scented bunny plushie. Inspired by yours truly." She bowed, and her hat popped into Pinot, who tumbled down to the floor and started to hop anxiously around her owner's ankles. Cardamom stood back up and grinned at Rose. "No reason other than I felt folks needed a reminder that we are a House worthy of a lot more attention. No reason to get shunted off to the side like some simple grey sheep of the Hogwarts family, you know?"
Picking up a pastry, the older girl stuffed about half of it into her mouth and sighed happily around the sugar bomb. Sweets were the best. "So how are other classes going? You excited for the ball coming up?"

Emma picked up a small tart from one of the plates on the table and bit into it. Sunshine immediately filled her mouth and her taste buds exploded with with the flavor of sweet lemon.
She picked another tart up and held it out to her friend who was eyeing the table full of food.
"Rose, try this, it fantastic," she said, and shoved the rest of hers into her mouth.
Once she had swallowed it, feeling slightly guilty about her lack of manners, she turned to Cardamom and asked, "How did you do this? Just magic?"
She looked at a plate of brown-looking biscuits close at hand. She was itching to try them, since her parents had never allowed her to have much sweets.
Camille wakes up in the dorm and finds an assortment of items at the end of her bed.
She gets up to look closer, and finds a varity of party related items, as well as some delicious looking sugar cookies. Not knowing who it's from but not willing to pass up free food, Camille shrugs and grabs a cookie and a book, getting ready for another lazy day.
( thank you for the items! n__n)
|| , Ta~ darlings. We need some Hufflepuff men. :D No worries, I feel awful, you didn't need to RP for it~~ >.<
Licking off her fingers, Cardamom let her gaze shift over to the table of sweets. "Oh, the spread? Yes and no." She grinned and wiped the rest of the crumbs off on a yellow and black striped napkin. "The house elves let me come down sometimes and bake. They taught me early on, it was a lot of fun. These are based on a baking project from my... fourth year? Add in a little magical candy to the mix, and they're easy to sort of conjure up together. Well, it's all I'm ever really good at conjuring..." She laughed at her dismal grades in other classes.
: I don't think the cult has very men in the first place--one in each house at this point if I remember correctly.
Emma looked dumbfounded at her friend.
"You know where the kitchens are?" she asked, taking a cream puff from a stack. "Could you show me sometime?"
Emma glanced at the door, wondering where all their fellow Hufflepuffs were. They were going to miss out on all the fun if they didn't arrive.
"Do you think you're going to open a bake shop? A magical one? Perhaps in Diagon Alley? That would be nice, that way we could all still see you once you graduate."
Rose nodded. "It does seem as though Hufflepuff has a unfounded reputation for being the dullest and commonest of houses." She laughed. "If only they knew!"
Taking the treat from Emma, Rose nibbled it tentatively. Upon the first bite, a sugary, lemon-y flavor coated her mouth, tingling a bit as she swallowed. "Mmm!" she exclaimed happily. "These taste sort of like some cookies I used to eat back home called 'Lemonades'. Only these are way more intense in a very good way!" She popped the rest of the sweet in her mouth.
Nodding excitedly, Rose added, "I would be interested in seeing the kitchen sometime, too! And I totally think that you could be filthy rich if you opened up a bake shop. I would shop there for sure, I'm sure loads of people would. Even with the use of magic, I don't think that I would ever be able to create something this delicious." She took a sip of some of the sparkling liquid that sat poured into glasses on the table. It had a rather complex flavor, somewhat like toasted marshmallows and warm spices.
Out of the corner of her eye, Rose caught a glimpse of Lily creeping up to Pinot, having lost interest in the spectral badger. She quickly scooped her cat up and began stroking her fur to distract her from the nervous bunny.
"I'm not at all sure how I feel about a ball," Rose mused. "I haven't had very good experiences with them in the past, to be honest..." She trailed off, not wanting to voice her experience with school dances. She couldn't help but think about the incident, though:
The lights dimmed suddenly, music pummeling her eardrums, bodies crowding into the center of the floor as they pushed past her. She felt like she was suffocating; her heart had stopped, yet was beating one hundred miles per hour. She backed away slowly until she met one of the walls of the room. Sliding carefully along that wall, she escaped out the back door and broke into a dead sprint, not stopping until she reached her room at home.
Although Rose maintained a cool exterior, her heart beat quickly just remembering the event. Her embarrassment about her reaction to such a simple event had meant that she had never been comfortable talking about it. She calmed herself by breathing deeply and continuing to pet her cat. Once she had relaxed again, she asked, "How do you guys feel about it? Excited? Do you have dates yet?"
(( ps. sorry for the novel x__x))
Sullivan walked into the Hufflepuff common room, a book tucked under his arm. It's always so cozy in here he thought to himself as the familiar warmth and smells enveloped him. He looked for an empty chair and, finding one, lowered himself delicately until he could feel the soft plush of the cushions against his skin. He let out a pleasant sigh and removed the book from beneath his arm opening it up to a page that had been marked with a bit of yellow string.
Almost immediately a look of frustration clouded Sullivan's face. He had forgotten to take out his parchment for taking notes over this particular book and he knew that if he were to get up from this chair he would have to trek all the way to the boy's dormitory just to come all the way back. Thinking this an exertion of far too much effort Chris decided instead that he would simply write his notes in the book and deal with the consequence of learning a scouring spell to remove the ink later. He pulled out a quill and ink and began animatedly taking notes along the book's margins.
((Please excuse this awful entry. It has been quite a time since I have roleplayed (something in the years range) ))
Emma shook her head at her friend's inquiry.
"Never been to a ball," she replied, scooping a couple of the biscuits she had had her eye on and taking a bite out of one. "I've never been in a school that had those sorts of functions. Don't even have anything to wear, really. Unless you include that sari mum insisted on buying for me, but I don't think that will be appropriate, will it?"
Just then a fellow Hufflepuff she had never really noticed before entered the common room and collapsed into one of the arm chairs. He seemed rather moody as he began working on homework. He hadn't seemed to have even noticed the decorations or the food.
"Don't you want to join the party?" Emma called across to him. Maybe some celebrating will help him to chill out and not worry about school work, she thought.
She glanced at Rose and Cardamom to see if she could glean what they thought of this strange behaviour. It was only then that she noticed that Rose wasn't looking well--her face was pale and she looked quite nervous.
"Are you alright, Rose?" Emma asked, reaching out a hand to catch her friend in case she should suddenly have a dizzy spell.

Sullivan looked up from his book, his hand falling inside the book and soaking in the still drying ink. "A party?" he said, his brow crinkling in wonder. He stood up and moved to the group of girls, his eyes darting between the girls and their spread of food. "What's the occasion?" his voice raising higher at the end of the question.
He was sure that he had not heard of any parties happening recently, but he could not be sure. He'd gotten behind on his reading for a handful of classes and whenever he got like that he tended to "check out" of life events and laser in on only academic-related material. It was both a good and a bad thing. Good for his grades and bad for his social life.
Seeing that the girls had already been having a deep conversation Sullivan asked, "So what are we chatting about? Anything amiss in Hufflepuff house?" he raised an inquiring eyebrow. Before anyone could respond he quickly found a table, opened his book, and placed his quill in it as a bookmark to save the page. He left the book sitting closed on the table and returned to the group, rubbing his hands together where the ink had begun staining his fingers.

Milla came stumbling in to the common room, with her bag haphazardly slung over her shoulder. She had just come from an intense study session at the library, and all she really needed now was to relax. She looked around, noticed that the others seemed to be celebrating something. She went to deposit her bag in her room, before she went to join them. She smiled politely, "Can I join in on the party?" She asked.
[So sorry for being inactive for a while, life's been stressful]
