This is like the most poorly thought out event on Subeta ever...

, quite the contrary. This was a well thought out move.

The RE were unusual, so they called people to attention. Some people didn't really see the RE, but they did notice something going on with the Avatars. That's how people started talking and getting hyped by themselves. And the hype of the community, with theorizing and waiting for any official news, are making this event feel like something big even if not much has happened yet.

It's teetering on sending people into panic attacks, how is that a good thing?

I've made a thread that got locked in site feedback, but I did have personal health issues last night.

I had a civil discussion about Keith with it, and he made everything he could to make me feel safe, but I'm still unsure if I can go and handle this event. When I said "this hits too close to home" and "i don't like this", I seriously meant it.

Yes, for people that have no issues with this, it is extremely exciting. But for me, I'm probably going to have "Shiny Happy People" and "Happy" on loop for the next weeks to make sure everything will be alright.

Not full blown panic attack per see, but man, going home last night was hell. Checking over my shoulder every minute and such.

, of course the panic attacks aren't a good thing, but I'm saying it was well thought out as an event. It's hard to predict what may or may not be a trigger for anxiety when you consider how complex and varied humans and their own problems are. Like some people pointed out, other events have been strong for people with other sensibilities, and doing something that has no risk of triggering anybody is very complicated, unless you want to do something extremely childish, wich doesn't seem to be the stile of this site.

I am really sorry for the people that have been triggered into panic attacks, I really am. But I don't think this event was "the worst thought out ever". I think a very general news statement on "something strange going on" could have been added, but I hardly believe that would have helped much either.

, I know, and believe me, I feel for you and everyone who has personal situations in their lifes that might have made this a really bad experience. I'm not gonna say that "It's just a game" or anything to disregard your problems.

I do think that the solution in this case is really to leave the site for a while and do things that are good for you. I know it sounds awful, and like staff doesn't care about you and your staying in the site, but truth is they can't really cater to every user simultaneously, cause that would be imposible. I am pretty sure nothing that affects me so much as to make me leave the site will ever happen (my triggers are things known to be triggers for a big amount of people) but I'm sure if something did come up that risked my mental health I would do that.

What I mean is: I know your situation sucks. I do. But I also think it's imposible to do something new and exciting without risking it will be bothersome for at least one person. In this case, it resulted in something more serious than bothersome and for more than one person, but I am sure that staff never planned on actively hurting someone.

I got one as well, and I don't like it as well. Currently, my father is sick, and I don't like this because of the fact that it makes me feel like something bad is about to happen.

I voiced my concerns to Keith, and I feel like he understood. I'm not worried about staff caring about my feelings; I know the friends I got on staff do care.

It was a unexpected side effect of something they planned, and while I'm still a little sour over no newspost, I don't want to have NO EVENTS EVER. That would be silly. The issues are mine, I am the one who should resolve them. I suggested things, I voiced concerns, and I understand people may not feel as I do.

This is the exact same event that made me feel terrible last night and I didn't even get that one. imo, it is the worst of the three and I feel sorry for you.

Yea, but one thing I wish that they'd let us do is opt out of the ones we didn't want. Sometimes for me, the random events just get so annoying (the Ice King and Bumbi ones especially) that it detracts away from the fun of the game. This one, I don't care if it's part of a new plot or not, I'd rather find out first WHAT it is for BEFORE it happens. It would make me feel a lot better, to say the least, since I really like to create avatars that I enjoy, and knowing in a few short hours it'll all be black and white (and gray) makes me wonder why I should even make an avatar at this point.
