Unless someone wants to pick us up and use us on their ship??
For the puzzle, when it says:
Does that mean that they also can't be in the "Second-to-last" position? Sorry just trying to clarify because my team now has 2 different answers to this puzzle. xD
We will need to coordinate for sure! Once the rest of the teams chime in on what kinds of crafts they have, we should have the captains get together and coordinate for sure :)
awwww WS3 is already ending? That went by way too quickly qnq //eats cookies for comfort
My character came to Bordertown on a small personal spaceship. I was wondering if that could be used in any way during this fight? ^^
: I was looking for a list of all teams so that I could ping all the captains, rather then pinging the entire WS group, but I think we should definitely set up a Captains Forum. In fact, I will do so now.
I like your thinking! let me know too!
I don't see why we don't discuss the stuff here. I mean, I figure my team members may want to have input too.
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
Does the bounty still need donations? I kept forgetting to ask!
Hey, can Dace maybe confer with some of the Whovians and borrow a Sonic for this part? If I understand right the Vagabind gets at least one turn as a brain wanders off Um, the type of person who can use a sonic?
Lair Bears Dance Mix! (play it on shuffle)
Polymath, and maybe someone will lend you one, though Jean is a bit possessive of hers.

Never a dull moment in the adventures of the Wayward Squirrel! And I thought the Elders Maze was tough! This is going to be really interesting to watch/be part of as it unfolds.
Mind if I ramble for a bit? grabs a cookie and spells out whats in my head to see if I'm heading in the right direction
The Fallen Angel is a Flamefly Class Trainquility Ship that is seriously hard to intentionally misspell, just sayin so we'll also be taking on the Death Dragon. ( for your Captain meeting, ours is ) I think Im beginning to understand how this might work. Key word - think.
With such vast differences in our writing style it's working together but we RP our part ourselves right? What I mean is like Captains of the large airships would coordinate an attack plan, each ship going after specific parts of the Death Dragon, right? Like Team A takes out one of the poison ports then goes after the weapon laden wings, Team B would do the same on the other side, Teams C and D go after the docking stations.. something like that, right?
That would also pertain to whoever comes onboard their ship then, yes? Captains point out what they need them to do but it's up to that team to RP their task. Does that make sense?
For example, and - their teams want to take to the sky so they go with one of the big ships, and they're tasked with something like helping the mage/alchemist keep the shields reinforced or manning a deflector to block the disruptor beams - something like that.
And of course there will be ground teams, right? There has to be someone who can take out the ships behind the Death Dragon, individual shuttles/ships, ground attacks.. something like that?
What we end up with would be an RP of what they do individually while being part of the team who's ship they've joined which is part of the group which as a whole fights one hell of a battle and wins the day.
Someone please tell me Im on the right track.
(edits) If I may be so bold, hon, trying to figure out who's on who's team from this thread would be a nightmare. I think a captain's thread is the best way to go.
Your team would tell you what they think and you would post your teams ideas and whatnot on the captains thread. I plan on reading along once they get things rolling but I'm not a captain so I wont post - I'll tell True what pops into my head and she'll go from there =)
Our Lair is proof you don't have to stand face to face to know you've got friends who stand with you when you need us.

Ah, fair enough. And it sounds to me like you're on the right track, yup!

.. actually not much interested in taking to the sky though waiting for confirmation from the team yet.
Our past experience has been ground fighting totally using home made motor bikes.
I'm totally following you!! And yes, I'm under the same assumption that we work together, but RP what WE do. Just as you said. We just have to figure out what part of the dragon we're going after!
This is going to be one epic battle! squee!
Oh no, you misunderstood! I didn't mean yall would literally jump onboard our ship, I saw your name so I used it as an example so I can understand in my head how this would work and ping yall (you and Eurus) to get your thoughts on my insanity.
I don't even know if I'm on the right track but the only way for me to wrap my head around what we're suppose to do is to type it out. (Now y'all know what my poor team puts up with for every challenge, LOL!)
edits If my brainstorming comes close to how we pull this off, I can see how this chapter could end up being one for the record books. At first I wasn't sure - I couldnt wrap my head around what we were suppose to do - now I'm excited to be part of it!

.. ahhhh I see and yes, am very interested in working with other teams as far as developing a good roleplay.
Since my team is basically a ground team we could also go on a large ship and be the ones that board the enemy ship hunting them down winks
Like I said.. waiting for input from my team and input on ground/flight or what too.
Your siggy is good advice for this chapter giggles I was totally tickled by it and had to tell you so.
grins Thanks!
Oh I like the idea of a team jumping on the ship to take out the engines or something! You'd have to have communicators of some sort on you to be sure and be alerted to escape before the ship went down. Maybe fly in riding shotgun on someone's ti fighter so they can swoop in and catch the team on the way out. Or a ship like our Black Swan with an open deck space to land on.
It would probably be good to list which teams have firefly class vessels and a picture/description of them in one post to gather their strengths! :) As well as what the other teams plan to use for attack, be it ti fighters, bikes/other from the ground (YAY magic spells and rocket launchers), catching a lift on a firefly ship, riding their flying companions, or something even more creative.
And I definitely think the captain's settling the 'who's doing what' would be the most efficient. Maybe take a day or two to gather ideas from the teams and then meet up and throw the ideas around until a plan is settled on that all the captain's think their teams will be happy about. Then back to the teams to do the actual RPs. That way there's not a continuous back and forth, but all the teammates feel involved. And it's not as messy as one ginormous brainstorm.
So. much. fun. Sorry, I get excited and the word soup is served lol
Okay, let's hope I get everybody's questions answered here:
First of all, I clearly stated in the beginning of all this vessel mess (and guess what WS4 WON'T have) that anyone who didn't have a spacecraft would be in a tie-fighter. So everyone is airborne, period! (The judges are all set to do that scenario, and the battle was created to reflect that.)
Your "ground crew" is Winton, Ertrude, Thorson, Morrow, Delgar, Ms. Miranda, Hayao, and (lordy help us!) Tony and Jedro. Let us all not forget Termina, who has already sent for the Sentinels and other Seelie forces, since there is enough of that potion to protect them for a brief time.
Second, you may attempt to board the ship, especially since I have already scripted a portion of the last chapter/epilogue to use exactly that, but it would be extremely difficult to even get that close, and it would take a rather special combination to survive. Even with a stealth mission, you wouldn't be able to take the ship over, as it's organically linked and you would be unable to survive the effects unless you were also a trained Unseelie Assassin.
You are going to have to destroy that ship, honest.
Third, we've never done an "all together" portion, but this battle seemed the place to try it, and a LOT of you asked for this starting in WS1. It may work so wonderfully, you can't wait to try it again, OR it may be an all-out disaster and be buried beside the "vehicle design debacle." Who knows?
Now, as to the other things"
Trainquility is the name given to the ship Crash commissioned by the Subeta Team. I have no idea why they misspelled it and neither does Crash. :D Far be it for us to argue, though. wink
As to the puzzle, I'm only getting one solution, and one team has already submitted that one. It's not designed to be overly difficult because of the battle, so if you do have two solutions that work with all the clues, send both.
and , I wouldn't manage without you, and you've seriously been a comfort, so you WILL take your prizes. And , since you didn't play, but knocked yourself out getting those backgrounds done--I know what you went through--please pick up something you really like. You're the only big contributor not playing, and it's not fair if you don't get something!
Aspirati and Ambition, there's always Nutsy's if you like murder mysteries. (And your little ship is still under repair. It was shot up by Bone Riders.)
The Squirrel's Bounty is pretty full (328 prize choices,) BUT we are collecting for WS4. :D
Vagabonds get Sonic Screwdrivers!
For a list of all teams and members, use "Team Points and Standings." There is no Lone Wolf anymore, but everyone else is correct.
Hope I got all the questions. Feel free to add or tell me I missed one.
: you are right on. I believe that the captains should simply discuss the basic outline of the battle plan and leave it up to each individual team to decide how to enact their part of the battle plan according to the outline.
: Thank you for answering my question without me even having to ask it. "Everybody is in space." That's perfect.
( Dipping my cookie in Whiskey....) ( giggle )
