Sorry, I didn't want to pick until I finished some RL stuff so I can start RPing! :D Gah! So hard! My problem is that I have a very "Pure-blood Slytherine" family tree on my Dad's side that my Grandfather cut all ties with and in a way became very "Gryffindor". I could write my own book series on my bizzaro crazy family in the wizarding world! My mom would be muggle born but she and all her siblings would have magical powers and while they would all be Ravenclaw, my mom would be the black sheep as a Gryffindor.

And as for me? I am this crazy hodge-podge between a Slytherine-turns-Gryffindor/Ravenclaw-Castoff. When I write fan-fics I usually have my student-self choose Hufflepuff despite the sorting hat's insistance that I am nothing like a Hufflepuff. Which is true. But I go ahead and tell the hat that even though I'm not, that I want to be Kind and Loyal like a Hufflepuff. However, over the years I've found that at my core I am too, well, strong-willed to be a Hufflepuff; too lazy to be a Ravenclaw; and too down-in-the-dirt hardworking and respectful of authority to be Slytherine. So I am Left always returning to Gryffindor.

So that's it. I choose Gryffindor!

I don't think I could do a Ravenclaw character, it embodies the complete polar opposite of the way my brain works. I'd be faking it and wouldn't make it very far I am afraid... Terribly sorry. But I would love to be school friends! I know my character will need academic assistance should she take Arithmancy or Runes... Two subjects that would kill me.

My strengths are Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, Flying as a Beater, and Potions.

IRL I am a great cook who understands the marriage of spices and flavors and how two ingredients can do one thing on their own but when combined they do something completely new! So yes to Potions.

I always wanted to be a Zoologist or Veterinarian because I am an anatomy nut and I love studying natures and behaviors of critters as well as understanding instincts and why they do what they do. So yes to CoMC!

As for Transfiguration, I have a bit of a mechanic/engineer's mindset where I am constantly disassembling everything I look at into it's basic components to understand what makes it what it is and what aspects help it perform it's function. I know this sounds a bit Ravenclaw-ish but it's more down-and-dirty "rely on gut instincts rather than measurements and schematics" kind of thinking.

And finally, Quidditch. I raced ATV's and snowmobiles growing up and we would drive through the apple orchard, each person down their own aisle of trees, and we had baseball bats. We would hit the low-hanging apples at each-other while driving at top speeds. Suffice to say, I was the best, everybody else had to wear helmets with visors. So, yes, I am a beater. (Don't ask me how we survived our childhood)

Add me to Hufflepuff please! I'm that kind of person who really just wants people to be freaking happy even if it means putting my own needs behind theirs. I think that's the most Hufflepuff trait about me and thus, have succumbed to the 'Puff.
