If only a certain amount (say 1000) is made of an item is it against the rules to buy/hoard all of that item (or the vast majority at least)? I know that many people hoard a specific item on the site but I have no idea if this is frowned upon if the item is rare?

If you were to hoard all of an item is it against the rules to set your own price for it now that there is a limited supply? I know that some sites don't allow for artificial inflation so was wondering about Subeta's stance on this.

I'm asking for a friend...

We don't have any rules against this, but be very warned that we keep an eye on these things and have no problem releasing more items into the wild :)

- I thought that might be the case (having more released = having more to hoard) c: Thanks for letting me know.

is the site owner.

I hoard tons of things! My shop Ephemeral Concepts is one of the site's biggest. The thing your friend needs to keep in mind is that nothing here on Subeta is permanently retired. It's useful to keep in mind the About Subeta link at the bottom of every page, in which it says that the average user has 14MsP. Few people wish to spend all of their wealth on some item, so very few hoarded items will sell for remotely that much, no matter how much of the market you corner (and staff overlooks).

- I am aware that Keith is the site owner - I am not a new player. The average user has 14m? I would have thought it would have been much higher than that (although I suspect that new player/unused accounts drag the number down).
