A one-day GA would be nice so that the pet slots are actually useable, but no I don't see it being necessary. We all know why we're doing this, there's no need for extra rewards on top of the pet slot (and forum title because tbh that's a pretty cute title)

Personally I'm glad that staff is sticking to the no extra prize thing. They stated clearly that that was the only prize and there wouldn't be anymore.

There cant be extra prizes in secret because people who didn't participate but would have would be very upset.you can't have one for whoever did the most quests because hundreds of people do the max everyday.

Pretty much, today is the first day I managed to do all 150 quests because well, Cinthia was a cockblock yesterday with her 8M quest requests.

Who did the most quests is way too much based on RNG, and disadvantage rich users because there is no viable way for them to do Sarah.

It took 10 years, but I'm so glad this is finally happening! Site wide events that require users to work together in a way that doesn't involve battling or splitting up into teams AND a clear cut definition of our goals and the prizes so we're not spending excessive amounts of money to complete every quest possible and then feeling ripped off in the end! YAS! It might seem boring, but this is how I at least want the little week long events we have to be like. glares at the Centropolis Green Project

So I'm someone who wouldn't be upset, but even relieved if they didn't give us any sort of GA. Although, tbh give us a way to purchase a 5 mil. 1 Week GA at a one time deal to get rid of all the sP that just entered from everyone doing these quests and I'll be even happier.

Since I'm not a pet person and have three empty pet slots already, I'd be thrilled if there was another prize -- I'm just participating to make sure all the pet people get that slot/for the forum title I will never use. But the staff did make it clear nothing else would be added, and I always hate when it's like LOL SURPRISE HERE'S A REALLY GREAT PRIZE and I didn't bother trying hard enough to get one, so it's best that it just stays at what was originally advertised.

Eh, no extra prize is necessary. If people are not interested, then they will not care about it right? I wouldn't be against a one day GA deal, so I can redeem my slot. I just have no use for a GA, even just for a week.

If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk. While this is my favorite saying and book, I find it cheap that there are so many asking for more, more, more! I'm content with the pet slot that it providing incentive for us.

I can have 10 pets and be nowhere near the perk of a gold account. Since I'm such a pet fiend, I can adopt up to 42 pets without a GA.

So, someone who had five pets, used five pet slots loyalty totems can have 10 pets without having activated a GA ever.

But yes, I do agree with you, Keith! Just felt like pointing the confusion in your example.

A lot of people think we cannot get beyond 5 slots without a GA, but that's not the case ;)

I am not even really interested in the pet slot, but I participated to help people earn it, that's all we need, and as much was said from the beginning. Err well a forum title too I guess.

I agree that a GA isn't really necessary, but I did have a thought. Does anyone remember when the next CS weekend deal was? It'd be cool if the end of the event corresponded with the next weekend deal. If it was too recently though it would make sense to keep them more spaced out.

Question: why has the GA sparked so much debate when it's the cheaper of the prizes compared to the pet slot? I'm not catching something here.

If it's about the funds that ultimately go into Subeta, the GA would be the cheaper way to go. $5 versus $20 for a pet slot.

I also definitely agree with the "we know why we're doing this", "no extra rewards", and the general notion that I really want to see staff stick to their guns like they did with the snowball ordeal.

Enough times of people going above and beyond for the exact reward they were promised from the get go, and people will stop going above and beyond then expecting to be compensated for it. If anything happens, I'd assume it's "wow they got to 1 million finished quests! Next time we'll make it 1.5 million quests".

I support making this a yearly event. Seriously, it's fun, requires no extra plot or coding, just give us a few prizes. If you provide a challenge, the users will attempt to meet it. Users love challenges. I also greatly support throwing a 5mil sp 1 Week GA Medal into the Millionaire Center. It will not only be a sp sink for all the currency that's entered the system from this Thon, but will provide all users a chance to "use" the extra slot. All users benefit, and it won't affect the outcome of the participation.

I do not support adding a tiered reward or additional rewards. Personally, I really enjoy the surprise prizes, but staff was super clear in the news post. No more prizes. I really liked the clarification, and am proud of them for stating as much. If staff wanted to, by chance, reward everyone for doing an amazing job... Make a free gift at the end of the event. Have a little tiny blue ribbon or button. That way no one is excluded, even those that chose not to participate. And if everyone retrieves one, then it doesn't have to be a pricey thing. Don't have to make it collectible in any way.

As a side note- my suggestion for a future prize would be a "Quest Tome." Have it give a 12-24hr buff that gives the user an additional 5 quests for each quest giver. :)

Right... Forgot about that change... Yeah, okay, no putting a week GA in the MC. The only other 12 hr type of thing we have is the token shop, but I really don't want to add yet another thing going in there. (Seriously, it's been 9 weeks since we've had a Wiz weekend quest, and with the upped vending for the quest-a-thon and repeated token shop releases, my stockpile is taking a beating.)
