Ahh if I could only go back in time and make it so that when you put an item in your wardrobe, it stayed there :)
changes can still be made ;) [R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet" starts playing]
Users: SBQ is hard to get now! You changed the timing and there is too little stock! Users: SBQ is not priced higher enough and the price is dropping. Users: Not enough invites!
Stop screwing with Subeautique, really. Stick to a decision and stop changing everytime. Not everyone can always be pleased about something.

really though, that change would not affect me much x) it would probably lead to inflation of many things. maybe just subq stuff can get stuck, but I'm sure Keith was saying that as a joke. :p
eh people complain when they don't screw with subq enough. people will complain no matter what happens.
I figured it wasn't a serious suggestion, but I just like bringing up "Trapped In The Closet" whenever possible because I think it's hilarious.
As for if that was implemented...at the moment I wouldn't really mind because I'm still working on the highest Filled Wardrobe tier so I never take anything out, but once I'm finished and want to clean it out I'd probably wish I could, lol. My "Junk" drawer in the wardrobe is probably the biggest one.
the only thing I know about that song is from south park, so I guarantee that it's not the same song.
I never really mess with the wardrobe much. but I'm sure a change like this would upset most people on the site. and that's why I said what I said, because often when there's a decent suggestion, people who don't really have any stake in the issue give their input on the issue.
It's...actually not as different from the real thing as you might think. It's a pretty goofy song.
I wind up giving input on pretty much everything because I'm scrounging for forum points. Hey, if you're going to make a currency contingent on me talking you're going to have to deal with me saying pointless things sometimes :b
That's pretty sad xD
I give my opinion anywhere, and it may be uninformed but I'll admit my biases and when I'm wrong :)
It's amazing.
That's basically how I try to do it. Or by including an apology in the original post, lol.
As far as quests go, I get SubQ from Drills but it's such a wide variety of them between retired and current that I really don't think it affects the prices. Heck, I got a SubQ item from him last night that was 8 mil in shops so...I don't think he's killing the price.
Tbh I think it's undercutting. The people who do have the SubQ in their shops want to be THE ONE to sell their item first, and they constantly drop the price.
Case and point is a shirt I recently sold. Dapper So Anthony Shirt - It sat in my shop for a little while at well over a mil. All of a sudden, someone started to undercut this shirt by 300-400k at a time. When I sold it, it was 300k. And the price of it dropped in a matter of days because of one person. I feel like this is a huge reason prices are dropping; because someone decides they want to price it to sell and drop it, and others autoprice.
Perhaps staff could go through once in awhile like they do in regular shops and buy up current and recently retired SubQ that have dropped too low?
Also, as someone who collects for the sake of collecting, there are plenty of users out there who do buy SubQ just to have it. I can think of a few users off the top of my head who do.
And hell no to the keeping items in wardrobe. All those old items people decide to take out and sell would suddenly be impossible to get on site and hundreds of users would be stuck with thousands of items in their wardrobe they no longer want.
Undercutting isn't doing anything :P if there was any demand for it, someone would buy it at the cheap price. They are low because they aren't worth 1mill sp when restocking. If you want to make money on them, hold on to them until they retire? Once they retired prices go up again because that demand, whether or not it's very a very big demand, is raised higher than the supply again.
Idk, if we really want to raise the prices, take the GOFP out of the cash shop for a while too. Or not, I really enjoy using my leftover csc to get nice (or not so nice) retired items every once in a while.
I'd love if items had to stay in wardrobe, yes please. The only reason I could see for not doing it is if it made custom wearable people mad- but wouldn't it increase the value of their items too? Honestly people are sitting on rare plushies, beanbags and trading cards, it's not hurting the site in any way, might as well make it a "proper" collectible part of the site.
Me! Me! I'm doing the undercutting. Because nobody wants the items at the outrageously high prices that they're at (no matter how old they are) before I do that.
I don't spend so much at Major Drills so whenever I get an item that's both Retired and Subeatique (because he gives both) it's totally worth selling the item fast instead of having it all pretty in my shop with a loverly high price that absolutely nobody will ever pay.
Whenever the Invites get common enough, I use them to make fast restock money since they didn't actually cost me anything but the clicks I'm making by playing the game anyways. Therefore I'm quite willing to sell them for less than the cost of an Invite, if that's what ends up happening.
If I sell the Invites directly to other players, well the reason they would be (but can't because I'm not selling) buying them from me is that they're faster than me and get the goody new stuff before I can and charge me too much for buying those items from them. I'm not interested in helping those people, nor am I interested in helping them 'retain value'.
I can't see many players buying CWs if they could never remove them from the wardrobe when they get tired of them.
I've been here over 10 years and have got rid of all the original clothing items I had in my wardrobe because Subeta styles and art has changed a lot since the wardrobe was introduced. If I'd been unable to remove anything I'd have given up on the wardrobe long ago.
Yeah I have a whopping 11 CWs to my name and that's because I can't afford many of them, so I use them, then sell them and get new ones regularly.
I absolutely do not agree with locking wardrobe items as a collection. There is a huge market for wearables and I feel like, aside from upsetting many, /many/ users, it would KILL that market.
That makes sense! And I agree the wearable market and users is too big to disrupt that massively, they're a big part of the site.
Lets not forget Treasure maps & the coin machine! Treasure maps are dirt cheap right now - I manage to turn in at least 2 a week and tend to come away with at least 1 Subq item from them. (Meaning 2 maps = Tend to get 1 subq item)
And I just got a wig from the coin machine & those only cost about 30k per coin unless its the slots coin.
Yeah - just did 4 maps and got 3 subq items. But I wouldn't say change it. Those items are the only ones that are consistently worth turning in the maps for.

I'd quite like if SBQ had it's stock become seasonal as well as retirements. It's worked quite well for the Grimdark/Greasemonkey set and it would kind of match the fashion theme of SBQ to have sets matching the season restocking. It could be a cool way to introduce some older retired sets into the mix as well if it was possible to add them into the seasonal pool with a VERY low chance of restocking.
