if that's the case, a hard refresh never hurts to try. if they still don't show up for you after that, you may want to make a bugs thread. I can imagine that's an annoying issue, I use that button a lot too.

I'm sure you especially find this useful since you are a mini mod and post on a lot of the topics in welcomes & introcutions :P

That too, but I actually read all the posts so it's not a big deal. But now I get checkmarks to confirm I did my job ^^ I can remember the newbies, but I can't remember when I've read an ad or not! (all dem 50% offs @@)

I'm a little disappointed by the addition of the little green ticks next to the threads we have posted on.

The reason for my disappointment is that I had been trying to encourage a system by which we had control to mark threads ourselves. There by allowing us to easily sort through threads.

The user marking the thread would mean you could use it for many purposes.

  1. mark any thread you had posted in to easily find it later.
  2. mark any thread you had read so as not to reread threads or to reread threads
  3. to mark threads you wanted to find again easily.

I know we have the icon currently that lets you know when a thread has a new post but seen as that changes after you have looked at the thread if someone makes a new post it is not a good marker.

For anyone who doesn't quite understand what I am trying to explain here is my example.

I got to the adoption forum and look at the top ten to 20 threads. A couple of days later I go back and I want to see if there are any new threads but by this time people have been posting on those threads so a majority of the top 10-20 threads that I am opening I have looked at before but with out making a list of them I can remember them all until I open them.

So this is my example where it would be nice to be able to mark them as read so I know I have read them. The new tick could be used for this but only if I were to post on every thread, which in the adoption forum isn't too bad as I can wish everyone good luck but in other parts of the forums it would be crazy and spam.

To reiterate I am not slating the new ticks but I am saddened by them as I feel they mean a system I think would be better and more useful can not/will not be used.

Honestly, not bothered either way. I actually like it.

Though maybe a suggestion would be to add the ability to "mark" or "star" certain threads so a user can utilize it to his/her own liking. Kinda how gmail has it.

This would be handy if it wasn't indicating threads I posted on either literal months or, in some cases, years ago.

I like it, but I wish there was an easier way to see which threads were read, because there are many threads I read, but don't post in, and the checkmark would be more useful to me if it showed which threads I read so I don't click on them again. I get there's the arrow in a box feature, but it's not the same thing.

I like the new change but I do wish there was some decay. There are threads I posted in ages ago showing up :/

Great addition! It is useful to me, though I guess, for someone like me who virtually never posts anymore, I can also use "my recent posts" to keep up with things. I generally only care to keep up if I'm pinged, but it's a useful feature, nonetheless. It's kinda interesting to see where I posted a couple years ago too, aha.

As for 's suggestion, that would be nice to see implemented as well! I don't think that the system necessarily should be connected to these little green checkmarks. It might get a bit annoying to mark everything that you've posted on or would like (if that meant getting rid of this feature). Perhaps a feature that shows you've ever opened the board before would be useful? (Without relation to new posts on it). Are you thinking a "star" or "flag" feature somewhat similar to subscribing to threads, with notifications?

Overall, maybe it would be useful to keep these little checkmarks, add a little symbol for boards you've visited, and maybe make a little area where you can mark topics with like a couple different symbols (star, triangle, etc.). That allows you to mark things as you wish for whatever reason. It seems like it could be a lot to implement though.

I love this feature, especially as someone who doesn't do a lot of posting on the forums! There have been plenty of times when I've thought about posting on a thread and then not done it, and now I don't have to worry about whether or not I've already given my opinion on something. It's also just very nice to be able to find topics again that you wanted to check up on.

This feature helps a lot in the advertising forums!

I think it would be cool if the unread posts marker could be modified to have to version (differently colored) to show that a thread was a. read but contains new posts b. not read (so logically contains new posts, too).
