OMG, and did you print it out and do as suggested in your late-nights?! .__. You're a true artist! :)

Richest user was a bad idea in the first place D:
It should be removed, I agree
I don't think retiring achievements because they have become more difficult makes ANY sense.
Nor do I think it's appropriate to think a site should remove a feature that some users like, simply because it bothers your OCD. It's very simple to just exercise a little self control, and not go to the page that shows you your ranking.
unpopular opinion: I actually love working to a higher richest rank, it encourages me to actually do something on Subeta. Without it it will feel like i progress less and I'll get demotivated and play less.

I think that maybe publicizing how much the richest user has could possibly come off the page, but I really like the ranking in general!

considering he runs the site, im sure he likes for the purpose of statistical analysis
He has access to all manner of usage stats. I imagine there's something about displaying this particular apsect to the users which is deemed to be positive in some way. I'm just curious to understand the other side of things.
If we must have a ranking, I'd rather it was based on total account worth than just sp owned. I'd find it a lot more encouraging (provided we get account worth working again).
I don't care either way about the richest user ranking. Honestly, I don't give a single ass of a single rat about my ranking on Subeta. If other people want to compare numbers, let them. If other people have more sP than I do, good for them. Only reason I earn and save sP is to buy stuff I like (also to train my pets, but not just for the sake of their numbers going up, I just want loot drops from opponents - so back to items, basically) If I can't enjoy the sP I earn, what's the point in having it?
But whatever, this isn't about me and how I do things. It's not even really about the number in question, is it? It's how you feel about it. You said so yourself: "help me to help myself", right?
So here's what I recommend. Take your hoard of sP and buy yourself something you've wanted for a long time. Or, if there's nothing you want right now, maybe take a look at a friend's wishlist and make their day with a surprise gift. Or anonymously gift a newbie. Or do all of that. Basically, what I'm saying is, see your sP in a different light. Use it as a tool to get what you really want, whatever that may be. Instead of worrying about what you'll never have, use what you DO have. You might surprise yourself.
Good luck and take care. :)
Account worth has been proved to not be a reliable measuring of someone's wealth. The achievements relating to it are bad enough, I don't really want it to get more attention D:
Also
While estimating, there were 2,331 different item(s) on your account that could not be priced (priceless items). They are as follows:
You originally stated this was to help you help yourself. You acknowledged that the hang-up about your number is only because you keep checking it and get caught up on it. I still fail to see how the custom CSS suggested wouldn't be a viable solution for you. Because it would "still be there"? Even though you can't see it? Well damn, it's still gonna be there even if staff removes it from the page. A handful will still have more sp than me and a litany of users will be equal or below, whether or not I choose to look at that page.
So, again...if you're making a suggestion based on your personal idiosyncrasies, and especially if your next-best suggestion relies on fixing something that has been flawed through several fixes...why is custom CSS and a change in personal habits insufficient?
I really shouldn't have mentioned my personal perception of this. People are focusing on it way too much.
There are all sorts of stats and usage rankings which exist, but if we're not privy to them, then they can't bother to me. I probably couldn't even begin to imagine what most of them are. Excluding only myself from seeing the ranking while it's still visible for the rest of the site means it's "still there" in that sense. I dunno. I'm not going to try and pick apart the weird relationship between it and my self-esteem.
The account worth suggestion was extreme wishful thinking. It was more casting around for something that provided a judgement of not just having sp, but also using it. Something that reflected participation, loyalty, and interaction to some extent. The parentheses was an afterthought. I posted the comment and realised that it wasn't working, and I didn't point it out, some one else would.
I am a guilty sP hoarder. I like collecting it as much as any item on Subeta. I don't have a problem spending it, but I enjoy piling it up in my vault. And I also really enjoy the fact that I can view how I rank on the site. I know it's more than unlikely that I'll end up being first on that list, but it's still fun to see where I'm at. I'd be pretty bummed out if that feature went away.
