[spoiler=The Misfits Manage the Maze]Jilly had looked around at all the people gathered for the concert. ‘I hate being crowded in with nowhere to go’ the alchemist thought to herself, though she said nothing to her friends. They were here as part of a mission after all. Jilly was thankful when they headed backstage fairly quickly, but then the yelling began about Sunny being dead and fake managers and yet another puzzle to add to the confusion. ‘What is going on here??’ Jilly wondered. Keeping to herself for the most part and just trying to take note of everything, the alchemist couldn't wait to get back to the Goose to discuss it with everyone.
Anna had enjoyed the concert, especially the people watching aspect. Silently she had evaluated the people around her, enjoying that as much as the music. "Ohhh, she should not have worn those shoes with that dress. What was she thinking? Hmm, that one over near the edge of the crowd is mighty cute. I wonder if he may want to share a drink later." All these thoughts went through her mind and before she realized it, the concert was over and they were being escorted backstage. That was when all the commotion began. People screaming…and not out of fan love this time. And a person dead?! Now what were they going to do? ‘So much for a fun evening of music,’ the mage thought.
In Leaf’s opinion the concert had definitely rocked. Though the ranger preferred his sweet bard’s music, he had enjoyed the rock and roll and the entire concert atmosphere…up until they went backstage. That was where things went from fun to frantic in a heartbeat.
After the team made it back to the Goose and changed into their comfortable clothing, they gathered together to discuss the clues they had been able to gather about Sunny’s death. Jilly read over the notes and jumped in right away, trying to figure out the puzzle and Juana joined her. The others read through the statements, looked at each other and shrugged.
“It’s all a confused mess if you ask me,†Amdir said. Jenna and Leaf nodded in agreement while Anna sprawled on a couch, half asleep.
“The only thing I know for sure is that Caniel wasn’t in one of those bands tonight,†Leaf stated. “Beyond that, I have no idea, though it will be interesting to see which of them turns out to be a human.â€
After hitting the proverbial brick wall multiple times, the Misfits called it a night and headed to their beds. They tackled the puzzles again the next day, feeling more refreshed and alert. This time Jilly and Juana came up with solutions not only to the Seelie/Unseelie question, but also to the maze.
“That thing was beyond hard!†Jilly stated, pleased that they had solved it though.
Anna groaned. “Ohhh, it makes my head hurt just looking at it.â€
Jenna agreed. “I feel like I’m cross-eyed.â€
“Hmm…better let me check that out,†Leaf said, leaning close to gaze into Jenna’s eyes. “Nope, still as pretty as ever,†he determined, giving her a kiss.
Jenna blushed and laughed, snuggling against her elf.
The group was semi-relaxing and planning for their foray into the maze when Kelian entered, bearing his news on the maze situation. The Misfits all listened carefully, a few taking notes while the others just filed away the words and clues for future reference. Soon it would be time to venture forth on the next leg of their adventure.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Finding out they were going to be on motorbikes was exciting to Jilly. She hadn’t been on one since she was a little girl. The alchemist grabbed her bag and searched through it to make sure she had things made up for the battle ahead. This was not going to be an easy task if what Kelian was telling them was true. “What potions will work? What weapons will work? I think we are going to have a lot of trial and error along the way,†Jilly muttered to herself as she prepared to the best of her ability. Feeling like she had everything she needed, she grabbed her bag and went to catch up with the rest of her group.
“Motorbikes? Cool!†Anna exclaimed eagerly. “This should be fun!â€
“Oh tons…if you leave out all the Bone Riders out to get us,†Amdir said, rolling her eyes.
The comment seemed to go over the mage’s head however as she scurried around packing her bag with a few potions and bringing her favorite spell books. On the way out the door of the Goose, she quickly grabbed one more drink and a pretzel for the road.
The Misfits exited the Goose to find their ‘new’ bikes ready and waiting. While Jilly and Anna looked a bit excited at the prospect, Leaf frowned. He wasn’t used to machines and was less than thrilled at having to rely on these.
“I still don’t see why I can’t just take Aran,†the elf scowled. “He’s a ranger horse and thus trained for battles.â€
Jenna stroked Leaf’s arm. “But you heard what they said about these Bone Riders,†she reminded softly. “They are vicious and their bikes are far faster than Aran. We don’t want him harmed.â€
Leaf sighed and drew Jenna close with a nod at the wisdom of her words. “You’re right,†he said quietly. “Should he be hurt I’d never forgive myself. It’s best if our companions stay behind this time. Metal and junk will not be mourned for if it is lost.â€
“Now that we got that settled, can we go?†Juana called from astride one of the bikes. “It’s time to take down some Bone Riders!â€
Amdir also climbed onto a bike, smiling slightly as she ran her hand over the controls, and brought the engine to life with a turn of a key. The vagabond was intrigued by the way Jedro and Tony had thrown together the vehicles. She wished that she could have helped but she would settle for riding the finished product instead.
Leaf eyed the remaining bikes and Jenna smiled. “Why don’t we share the larger one?†she suggested. “I’ll even drive it.â€
The ranger debated the suggestion. On the one hand if Jenna drove they might not wreck. On the other hand however, if the riders came in front, she would be open to attack first. But…if he were behind her and had his hands free, a few well placed arrows could prevent that…and he would be covering her back also. After a long moment of thought, Leaf nodded. “Alright,†he agreed.
Jenna smiled and the pair went over to the larger bike. The bard swung on and Leaf settled with seemingly effortless ease behind her. Jenna knew better though. His muscles were tense and his jaw set. She started the bike and felt him flinch slightly at the roar before he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close. Smiling, Jenna leaned back against the strong chest slightly as they started for the maze.
Reaching the left entrance first, the group looked at each other. “Think we should try going in here or go around to the other entrance?†Anna asked uncertainly.
“I think we should start here,†Jilly commented.
Juana nodded, revving up her bike. “We’re here, so why not?†the warrior said, more than ready to get started.
Jenna, Leaf and Amdir all agreed and the Misfits started into the maze with Juana and Jilly going first. Jenna and Leaf were in the middle with Anna and Amdir bringing up the rear of their party. Juana was inching ahead of Jilly as the alchemist was being a bit more cautious than her battle loving friend. Therefore it was Juana who hit the first of many obstacles in the maze.
“Dang it!†the warrior exclaimed, having turned down a narrow path. “It looks like a dead end.†She was getting ready to turn her bike around when Jilly gave a shout.
“Look out, Juana!!†Jilly called as two Bone Riders appeared from the shadows of the dead end.
“We can handle these two!†Juana said confidently, pulling out her sword and thinking how thankful she was that it was made of a lighter weight fairy material that was sharp as a razor but light enough for her to wield with one hand as she steered the bike with the other.
The roar of motors drowned out the shouts of warning and encouragement from the rest of the Misfits as Juana started forward, Jilly at her side as there was only enough room for the two of them. Juana’s blade whistled through the air, adding its own eerie sound to the cacophony.
Jilly pulled her bike to a stop and let it idle as she delved into her pack and withdrew a bottle. Muttering a few words, the alchemist stuffed a piece of rope into the bottle and lit it. “Heads up, Juana!!†Jilly yelled as she threw the bottle toward one of the riders. It hit him and bounced off to land in front of his cycle. As he laughed at the attempt and gunned his bike, the bottle exploded, sending the Bone Rider flying. “He who laughs last and all that,†Jilly said with a satisfied smirk.
Meanwhile Juana was pressed close to the wall by the other rider who was rather handy with his own grisly weapon. The warrior ducked and sliced at him as she made a pass on her bike. Angling the bike at the dead end, Juana made her stand and as the Bone Rider advanced, she stood up on her own bike. The rider wasn’t able to pull up quickly enough and the momentum carried him onto Juana’s blade, impaling him as the bike careened into the wall and crashed.
“Got ‘em!!†the warrior exalted.
With the first threat dispatched, the Misfits took the time to search the bikes…there was no way they were going to touch the riders themselves. Amdir gleaned a few makeshift weapons from the bike pieces. Now armed and ready, the group set off again. The next stretch seemed to be never-ending and when they finally came to a turn, they wished they hadn’t. Heading toward them were three hulking brutes, their grinning faces clearly showing who they thought would be victorious, not to mention the necklaces of teeth that Kelian had mentioned.
“Slow down!†Leaf yelled, recalling the words about the metal spikes. He drew his bow and notched arrows, letting fly as Jenna slowed. “If I can pick them off from a…â€
“Duck!!!†Amdir yelled as a spike came toward the elf.
Barely dodging in time, Leaf nearly lost his seat and Jenna squealed. Anna screeched to a halt and called out the words to a protective barrier spell. Several more spikes bounced off of it.
“Thanks, Anna!†Leaf called to the mage. “But I need an opening to shoot through. Think you can manage that?â€
“I can try,†Anna said.
Nodding, Leaf readied his bow again. “Protect Jenna,†he ordered. “Even if you have to leave me out of the shield.â€
Jenna began to protest but Leaf spared her a look and then fixed his sights on the middle rider. A moment later an arrow protruded from the rider’s skull and he toppled from the bike. Jenna cheered but it barely registered with Leaf. The other two bikers were still coming toward them. “Anna!! Drop the shield and hit them with magic! Kelian says they have none! They are probably weak to it!â€
Anna bit her lip, searching her frazzled and frightened mind for an appropriate spell. Taking a deep breath, she released the shield and channeled all her energy into a firestorm spell. Crackles of flames flew toward the riders and seemed to wrap around them like snakes. Screams of pain echoed through the maze and even the Misfits cringed and averted their eyes. The magic fire disappeared as suddenly as Anna had called it, leaving the mage trembling and sweating, and the riders and their bikes as piles of ash.
“We need some time to recover after that one,†Jilly said and the rest of the group nodded.
“Unfortunately, we don’t really have the time,†Leaf commented. He looked around the maze, his sharp eyes and ears tuned for the sounds of any extra bikes. “Those screams will bring the others toward us as surely as if we were wearing a lodestone.â€
Juana looked at Anna and said, “He’s right…much as I hate to admit it. Anna? Can you go on?â€
Nodding a bit shakily, the mage said, “Yeah…I’ll be alright. I’ll just stay at the back.â€
Regrouping, the Misfits once again made their way through the maze, feeling more and more lost with each turn. “Are you sure this is the right way?†Amdir asked Jilly.
Halting for a moment, the alchemist consulted her map and nodded. “Yes, see this was the turn we just took and next…†she paused and looked over to where Leaf’s hand had gone to extract an arrow from his quiver.
“Riders,†Leaf said, his ears having picked up a roar that wasn’t from their parked bikes.
“It’s one of the ambushes,†Jenna said. “What do we do?â€
“Run!†Leaf said, looking behind them at the group now bearing down on them. And that’s just what the Misfits did! With their bikes going at full throttle, they did their best to outrun the Bone Riders, but as Kelian had warned these guys had something giving them an advantage. Closer and closer the Bone Riders came, yelling and jeering and waving horrible weapons that were some sort of swords and axes, but also spikes and chains. The group of adventurers were all scared and it showed in their faces as they glanced at each other and then back over their shoulders at the armored riders.
Jilly slowed her bike and dug with one hand in her pack. Finding what she was looking for, the alchemist lobbed several small balls backwards toward the Bone Riders. A moment later, there was a hissing pop and thick acrid smoke billowed up from the ground, enveloping the riders. “That’ll take them a few minutes to get through!†she called to her companions.
Jenna grinned and gave her friend a thumbs-up at having thought of the smoke bombs to make a smoke screen between them in order to help buy a little time.
The Misfits zoomed ahead until they reached an area that seemed slightly larger but also more complicated. Avenues led off in several directions and they all looked at Jilly for which way to go next. Before the alchemist could speak however, the roar of bikes sounded and like some sort of demons from the depths of Hell, the Bone Riders emerged from the smoke.
Leaf muttered a curse and tried his arrows, but found they bounced off the bone armor. “We’ve got to get rid of the armor!†he called. “Anna…Jilly…you two got any more tricks?â€
Amdir faced the Bone Riders, taking out the make-shift mace she had pieced together earlier from the parts of the wrecked bikes. “We can’t outrun them. We have to make a stand or we’ll be hopelessly lost in here!†she informed the group.
Nodding, Jenna followed the move as did the rest, each taking out their weapons and preparing for a fight. Facing the riders was even more horrifying than looking over their shoulders at them, but it was do or die time…and all the Misfits were hoping it wasn’t the die part.
Jilly and Anna, using potions and magic, went to work shooting blasts at the riders in order to knock off the armor at the very least, or perhaps even unseat one or two of them. However, these guys were good. They dodged the majority of the blasts and continued to speed toward the little group.
Amdir and Juana shared a look and nodded as the first two riders neared. Mace and sword swung and met with the Bone Riders weapons. Both the adventurers felt the shock of the impact down to their toes, but their weapons held as the riders continued on past them. It was up to the others behind them now. The vagabond and warrior kept their sights on the next two approaching riders.
Hating the thought that his beloved bow was useless in this situation, Leaf drew his twin elven daggers of mithril and as the first two riders bore down on them, he said to Jenna, “Gun it!â€
“What??†Jenna exclaimed in amazement.
“No time for questions,†Leaf said, “just trust me. And stay as low on the bike as you can get. Just steer us up the middle between the two.â€
Jenna did trust her elf, but what he was asking had passed over into the realm of craziness. Still…if Leaf had a plan… She took a deep breath and gunned the engine. The bike surged forward directly between the riders who bot
Freakin double postsssss
How did it double twice .A.
Super late though rowan was told it would be.
[spoiler=Reavers go maze-ing about] After a long day, Venus decided to go upstairs and head to bed early, she needed to recoup to make sure she had enough energy for her task the following day. The friends had decided together that Venus wouldn’t go into the maze with them, instead she would go over to the bands lead singers and help with the interrogation to hopefully find out who killed Sunny.
Ilaera had told her friends that she would head to bed too, feeling tired of the long day she was in need of some rest, but instead of walking up to her room, she found herself walking out of the door and wandering around the Gearloose Goose. High in the sky above her she saw Phaeri flying, she knew Phaeri was happy with the time outside.
After hearing about the maze and the bone riders, she had to get away since her head was full of all the things that had been said about the maze and all the dangerous aspects they could encounter in it. She was concerned about entering the maze after hearing what the bone riders could do to her.
A part of her wished she could go and tell her friends that she didn’t want to go into the maze with them, that she wanted to stay behind. Another part of her knew that she couldn’t let them go alone, that she had to go in with them. She was used to reading maps and then remembering which way to go, as she had done that a lot during her travels and she knew her skills would be great inside the maze too, she could help guiding the others through the maze.
Another factor was the motorcycle she had to ride to enter the maze, she had never been on one before and she didn’t know how to ride with it. She had heard some of the others talking about it as if it was the easiest thing to do, which scared her even more, since she didn’t want to make a fool of herself.
She whistled to Phaeri, who was circling above her in the sky and the bird came flying down immediately. “I’m glad you’re here with me sweetie†Ilaera said affectionately, softly sliding her hands over the birds feathers. Then she headed back towards the Goose, she’d better make sure she would get enough rest.
Zeph, Esme, and Jett were inside the Goose, sitting around the table by the fire, checking out the map of the maze to prepare for tomorrow.
When Sashi comes in after a little relaxing outside, she says she hates to interrupt them, but a huge bird just flew over and dropped a package by the door as she was about to walk in. “The package almost hit me†she says a bit muffed by it. But then she sat down with the others and shoved the package over to Jett.
Jetts name was on the package, wrapped in plain brown paper that was a bit beat up. He squinted to read the address, though there wasnt any such thing. How did such a thing find its way to him? The man leaned in close and sniffed the ribbon, having a hunch. Once he smelled the sweet toffee and lavender it was easy to tell.
He grinned and tore the wrapping and twine off, finding that there was a wooden box covered in little notes and quotes with meaning to him. Though he would surely read them all, he had to know what was inside.
Esme leaned over to Jett to see what was in the package, to find out what made him so happy. She noticed that he must know who send the package as he seemed delighted with it.
Zephy finished the last sip of her drink, watching closely to see what might be inside the parcel. She was also surprised someone had sent anything, let alone known where exactly they were right now. But it would for sure bring some homey feeling to this time on the adventure.
"Ah ha~" he said softly, finding a key strapped to the bottom of said box. When he unlocked the small latch a stuffed rabbits head popped up, as if it had been shoved in quite tight in a box far too small. Jett wiggled around like a kid on christmas, grabbing it tight to his chest. When fully removed you could see it was large, at least 15" tall and fluffy as can be.
While one arm was wrapped around it, he then tipped the box, candies of all shapes and sizes fell from it. Some from the borderlands, others from places far away, even some from where Jett was born. "Grab some dears, I aint gonna be able ta' eat this much on me own. 'Opefully there is somethin' ta yer liking."
Jett put his other arm around the rabbit and shoved his face in it, taking in the smell of his darling. Of all the things he was missing, it was this. Even just Sevs scent was enough.
Esme grabbed one of the pieces of candy, took a small bite out of it just to see if she liked it, then grabbed another piece, apparently liking the taste of the kinds she had never tried. She had no idea some of these even existed until now.
Zeph grabbed one of the pieces of candy from the table, deciding to go with a tart gummy. Or thats what it looked like. She stuffed it in her mouth and then stood up, ready to head to bed. “Good night everyone†she said. The girl knew she had to get enough rest for the next day, otherwise Karen had to do all the interrogating work alone.
"CHOCOBEES!" Potch said loudly when he finally noticed what was going on. He too could smell Sevon, and especially his most favorite treat, other than canned cat food of course.
Jett reached for them and ripped the green box open, pouring a few out which the bird quickly inhaled as if he were some sort of vacuum. "Jeez, ya could chew em first. I aint gonna save ya if one gets caught in yer' throat." He said right before opening up a chocolate hippo crisp, loving the little biscuit candies.
"Aww off so soon?" He asked as Zeph was standing to head to bed.
"Yeah sorry guys. I have to be up before you if I want to go with Venus. She was saying we had to leave at least an hour early. Im not sure why, but hey, itd suck to miss out on meeting some rock stars!"
"Thats understandable. But what about the maze!" Sashi replied, seeming pumped about tomorrow.
"I will be sad to miss it. But I already promised before we knew of the maze. Plus I know you guys can handle it. So sleep well! Dont stay up to late on sugar highs!" The girl smiled and waved for her Fox to follow. Then walked up the stairs to their beds.
"Night!" Esme said then turned back to dig through the treats. Finding a interesting chocolate biscuit stick. "So who are these from anyway?"
"S' from my partner. E' owns a import candy store. Sells lots from 'round the globe. Though most of these are jus' the ones he knows are my fav. I still dunno 'ow he found me. Though that bird may be on'a those that tracks people. I bet 'e paid the company ta get it over 'ere." As he spoke, he had a sucker in his mouth which made his words a bit harder to understand than usual. Though his enormous joy likely helped him slur his speech even more.
Twisting the Rabbits ears in his hands, he watched his friends dig around in the treats, glad he could bring them a little happiness in this busy challenging time as well.
Esme sighed when she heard Jett talk about his love. “I wish I could tell something like that about myself, I don’t live with my family anymore, I don’t have a love interest. I was an apprentice to Lorelei before, she had been to the squirrel inn earlier, but since she wasn’t able to make it this time, she asked me to go in her place. I don’t have much time to spend with people really, I’m more of the studious typeâ€.
Sashi listened, taking a few pieces after Jett told her what was in each sort. She didnt bother adding in things about her past. Wanting to leave at least a bit of mystery for them to learn over the rest of the trip. It was nice to get to know these two though. She could relate to Esme. Though instead of books, she was all in to weapons practice. It seemed of them all, Jettison was least likely to have chosen a life related to fights. Yet he somehow fit in quite well, likely due to his childish spirit.
After a long talk about families and people back home, the friends realize that the maze is still ahead of them and they have to find the best way to enter it, which led them to discussing the maze again, until eventually they decided it was best to stop focusing too hard on it it as there was no way to tell exactly what to expect. Best to leave it open ended.
So when Ilaera walked into the Goose again, everyone but Jett and Esme had already gone upstairs. She could hear Jett playing some music on his beloved instruments and from the doorway could see how Esme was reading a book by the fire. Then she noticed the odd candy on the table, she walked in, picked up one of the pieces. “What is this?†she then wondered out loud, hoping either Jett or Esme would answer her.
As he plucked the strings on his fiddle, as if it were a guitar, he didnt immediately notice the question. It took the sound of candy wrappers crinkling to break his focus. At first he thought it was potch getting in to it again and he started saying "Yer' gonna get sick if ya keep that up..." Though when he saw it was Ilaera he stopped and smiled, setting the instrument down and walking over to her.
Esme was busy writing and rereading what was in her book, while sitting by the fire. With one ear she was listening to the music Jett was playing. When she heard Ilaera walk in and ask her questions, she did want to respond to her, but before she had a chance to answer the question Jett already answered it and she decided to stick to her writing and reading
He grabbed the rabbit from the table and grinned in a cheesey way at her, giving the stuffed toy a squeeze. "Candy!" Jett said hopping a bit as he did so.
â€Well, isn’t that the most obvious answer you could†Ilaera responds to him laughing.
"Pft, I didnt know ya wanted detail! Th' stuffs from my loverrr~" He said humming and doing a twirl, the rabbits long ears flopping around with each movement.
Ilaera tried one of the pieces of the candy from the table. “This is nice†she then said. “Your friend should send us treats more oftenâ€.
"S' much as I like that idea, Id rather he ship 'imself on over. Though no one would be there to watch the store then..." His lip curled up to the side, sort of pouty. At least he knew he could get back to their home soon. Rafmeil, his friend who invited him to do this, said it only took a month or so to get through it last time.
Ilaera wished Jett and Esme a good night and headed towards her bed, she knew she really had to get some rest
Even though Jett wouldnt mind staying up a bit later, the plan for bed was a good one. He needed energy for tomorrow. Though he usually had enough for the whole team, it was best to prepare. He stretched his arms in the air, grabbing the rabbit by the ear and dragging it behind himself as he said "I should try an' rest too. Sleep good when ya' do esme."
Esme smiled back, not saying anything other than a short "Sleep well Jettison." She would go up soon also. But now that she had some peace and quiet, she wanted to read just a bit more.
~
The next morning Ilaera was outside with her friends very early, they had decided the day before that they would do some practicing with the motorcycles. This would give the ones that did know how to ride a bike some time to get used to the motorcycles they had been given, while in the meantime they could teach the others how to ride.
Venus and Zeph had already left the Goose before the others got up to make their way over to the bands lead singers to question them.
Jettison was a bit unhappy with being awoken so early by Sashi. Sure she was excited for this, but man he was not a morning person. He waited for the last of the group to come outside, laying sprawled out on the grass with potch nested in his hair. The man was smoking as usual, making it easy to find him. It was sort of his trademark, as someone he knew back home called him 'the chimeny'.
When Esme came out of the Goose, she walked over to her friends, not sure what to expect from the practice day.
Sashi came walking out of the Goose, eager to start the practicing, as she longed to drive the motorcycle and would rather leave for the maze right away too, but she knew the others needed time to adjust to the motorcycles
Sashi jumped on the first bike she could find, laughing from excitement as this was what she loved to do most, she started the motorcycle and started to ride in circles around the others. “See, it’s not hard at allâ€
Ilaera saw the motorcycles that were in front of her and got scared yet again. “I have to go and ride on that?!†she exclaimed. “Seriously?! That was the best they could get us? Don’t they know we’re going to approach bone riders?†It wasn’t hard to tell that Ilaera wasn’t happy about the motorcycles at all, she just stood there flabbergasted about the whole situation.
Esme takes one look at the motorcycles standing in front of her and cold shiver passes over her, she had never been fond of anything that had two wheels and an engine, but she was trying to be brave in front of her friends, so she remarks that she will give it a try
Sashi rides back and says Esme will do fine, telling her she knows Esme can do it and that she believes in her.
Jetty watched from the sidelines for a bit, leaning on his elbows as he blew smoke rings through the air. Knowing he would soon be forced over when he saw Sashi walking towards him.
Sashi then goes over to Jett and kicks the bottom of his shoe softly, while driving past him, wanting to get his attention now that all was ready.
"Gahhhhh Do I 'ave ta?" He groaned like a little kid not wanting to go to school. Sure he didnt mind the bikes, but he still felt half asleep.
Sashi starts to laugh. “Of course you have to, I might steal your cigarette if you aren’t going to get up quicklyâ€.
Finally with that threat he rolled over, hopping to his feet. He brushed the dusty pollen from his back as best he could. Then slowly, but surely, moved to his designated bike. Hoping he would remember how to ride. From where he stood he could see that Ilaera and Esmes were more worried than he.
Sashi giggles, points to the gas, giving it a turn and lets the motor rev a bit, speaking up and saying "all you really gotta know is the gas is on the right and the brakes are on the left." Her hand turning to point at the brake as she gives it a squeeze with delightful joy in her eyes. Then she starts to drive off again, leaving Esme and Ilaera with those instructions
Ilaera listens carefully to Sashi, trying to make sure she doesn’t miss any part of the explanation. After she’s been given the whole explanation of the motorcycle, which really wasn’t that long when she thought about it, she insisted to give a summary of what she heard. She just wanted to make sure she really knows what to do when she starts to practice herself, but Sashi and Jett hardly listened while she was doing so, so eventually she gave up, knowing she just had to try the motorcycle.
[color=#ca226b]Esme wanders over to one of the motorcycles and decides to sit on it. After she had gotten some instructions from the others, she attempts to start it, but she was unable to retain her balance. She tried it again and again, until eventually she turns around to the others and pro
(Ooc: Had to do this in two parts, Subeta kept giving me errors and doubling posts like a crazy person xD I hope it didnt ping you a bajillion times like it did our group GR.
Also thanks for being so understanding Rowan. Just as Misfits above said, you deserve all the cookies and love. You seriously rock.)
Reavers Maze Part 2
After the fight, the friends stand there for a little bit, unsure what to do now.
“I think I can hear bone riders inside the maze†Esme says worried. “What if they come here?â€
â€Don’t worry†Sashi responds to her. “We’ve beaten the ones uptil now, so even if we encounter more, we’re able to beat those too. I’m not hearing any bone riders now thoughâ€.
â€I think you’re mistaken Esme†Ilaera responds softly. “I don’t hear anything that sounds like bone riders at all
"I dont either actually..." Jett replied, holding a hand on his fresh wound to try and stop any bleeding. He did likely have to drive the bike back with Esme behind him. It wouldnt be very helpful if he started to get all fuzzy in the head from blood loss.
"I aint gonna' expect we are outa' th woods though. S' always when we think we are safe, that bad stuff arrives."
â€I’m glad we made it to the center though, so for now why not celebrate it a bit.†Ilaera says excited.
As always Sashi seems eager to work, as she starts to ask the others what they should do. She nods in agreement with both of them. Keeping her guard up, but showing how happy she was to complete this.
â€Right now, we have to take care of Jett! You should be more worried. You are bleeding a lot." Esme interjected, moving over to see if she could do anything for him.
"HE LIKE IT" Potch said, flying over from the bike and landing on the shoulder, poking it a bit with his claws.
Jett had been just about to say something nice to Esme to thank her for the worry, but tell her he was fine. When he was distracted by the pinch at his shoulder. He bot his lip, hard enough to draw a little blood there as he shook his arm, trying to make Potch stop. "I was fine till' ya did that! I swear I'ma eat ya tonight! Roast ya over that fire ya' like so much!"
The girls laughed, though the all did have a bit of worry for his shoulder. He seemed fine enough if he could have a fight with his bird. They were getting so used to this now. If Jett hadnt responded in a childish way, then the three might have been concerned. All was well now.
