Welcome to Subeta! The things pets say regarding food/toys/books etc. is pretty random, they can not like it one time, but next time you give the same item they might say a different thing. If they are too happy, they will not play with toys - if you want to keep a pet happy, a minion is a great way to go (I guess that would translate as a 'petpet' in neo lingo!)
