I LOVE the new rules that everyone has to sign to participate in the interactive parts of the site. So many snarky people being mean just for the sake of being mean made me not want to participate or read the main forums for so long. Yay for this change. :)
My nephew's Graduation is today, can't believe he is graduating and starting at Marshall soon. Time flies.

My garden is doing pretty good so far.. nothing is dead (that I can see) and the radishes are coming up really fast. One of my tomato plants is turning yellow on the edges need to research why, anyone here an expert on 'maters' ???

Good Morning everyone! I need some good thoughts sent up on my behalf today.
I got hired by Kelly Services, a Temp agency, a while ago and they finally got something in my area and are sending me for a job interview today to a machine shop that needs someone in their office answering phones and secretarial type stuff. It's temp to possible permanent hire. I'm hopeful but nervous. I'm also trying for a clerical support job for a new mental health clinic that is opening up as well as a couple other places. Please pray for me to have discernment and get the job He wants me to have that will be good for me and my family long term. I didn't want to post on facebook in case anyone at one of the potential places sees and auto eliminates me based on anything I say on there about any kind of job placement.
My interview is at 10:30. Wish me luck.
Thank you and . The job interview went wonderful. I think I made a great impression as he said he likes the way I think and my attitude. I know I'm qualified for the job and made it clear that I would love to be the one he chooses out of the four he is interviewing today. He said he would be making the decision today and the one he picks will start next week. He needs someone to create a searchable database out of his YEARS of built up files and paperwork to help his company move forward into the new age of computers. I LOVE doing this kind of stuff, scanning in documents and typing in text, organizing, sorting and filing (I know I am weird) if this is the place I need to be I think I would be happy here. :)

[edit] I Got the job!! Yay! I start Tuesday. :) My hours will be 8-4 Monday through Friday and $9 an hour to start, more + benefits if I get hired permanently. This is going to be fun. :) happy Dances

Update on me, btw. I got offered the fall session at Pearson Scoring. So I get to stay at this job I like so much! :D And I get to keep working with the lady I really enjoy working with.

Thanks everyone. I'm on my way to Charleston to complete the paperwork for my new job. I'm so glad the actual job is only 15 minutes away. I'm an hour and a half away from Charleston.
I'm loving my new job! Thank you for asking and . First day was good but nerve wracking. I was in charge of doing research for the best equipment, software and what not for the bossman to buy to make my job of moving his paper files into the digital world so he can find stuff quicker and easier and it took me all day but I think I found a scanner/system that will do the job he needs at a fraction of the cost he was planning and it was on one of the list for the top five best ones too. Can't wait to get my new toys to play with.
He's buying me a new computer for my office that we cleaned up today, it was a storage room but it's going to be cozy (You can fit three of my old cubicles in there) and they are putting a new phone line in there so that I can answer phones and help the main office administrator out in that area and others. She's been doing the job by herself for years and finally convinced him to hire someone. Needless to say she is really hopeful that it turns into something permanent as she is sick of being the only one in the office all the time, not to mention the only girl. She is going on vacation next week so we are training me up to take over for her while she is gone while we wait for my toys to come in. It's only been two days but I feel comfortable with her and we crack each other up. It's just fun so far. Bossman makes me nervous but she said I'll get used to him. Here's to hoping. :)
Axiety attacks are no fun, I've had my share in the past and I wish you the best of getting a handle on them. Hopefully with the proper treatment they'll be a thing of the past .

Sassy, I hope you don't melt away. I use to get the same itchy rash because I am allergic to UVA rays. Have you tried broad spectrum sunscreen that specifies UV-A? Now when I need to be out for extended times I slather myself up and the only thing that bothers me is feeling hot. It's been pretty hot here but it's been storming and giving us some good rain and cloud cover as well.

Ya'll pray for me. I've spent the last two days crash coursing on what the office manager does (which is EVERYTHING) and am completely in charge and on my own next week covering for her while she gets to go on a much needed vacation. I'm excited for her and happy that I get to cover for her so she can relax and have some fun, I really like her so far. I have made lists for my lists and step by step guides of everything she told me. I know I can do this, I just have this voice in the back of my head telling me that I'm going to screw it all up and get fired.
The men in the shop have been making up excuses to come back to the offices to check out the new girl on the premises. Terri and I think it's funny. Only thing not funny is one of them is one of my ex's, my very first boyfriend, my first EVERYTHING to be exact and I'm hoping that doesn't make things weird. Also worrying about Chris getting jealous of all the men I'm working around because he's been extra lovey dovey. I would never in a million Years cheat on my husband. I love him more than life its self. I just don't want any thoughts popping in anyone's heads, especially Chris's.
I have decided to bring back the Monthly Cup Lottery. :)
Which means that every time I (or another cult staff member) start the New post for the month and the previous Months forum is locked. I will go through and randomly choose TEN
comments from that entire forum as winners for one of the 10 prizes. I will also link to the winning comment in case anyone is wondering which post it was that won that certain item and ping the winners.I will draw numbers and award prizes on the FIRST Saturday or Sunday of every month from the previous months prize list and announce the new prize list and tag everyone to it so you won't miss it. I chose weekends because I don't work these days and will have more time to make sure every thing is accurate and done properly.
Every comment you make is counted as an entry and one person CAN win more than one prize.
If one of my comments wins, I will choose another random comment.
Since Subeta has twenty posts per page, winners are picked by rolling my lucky dice. First I'll randomly determine which page the comment is on and then I will roll my d20 (twenty sided dice) and count down the comments to the winner. I will link to posts and tag Winners for each prize.
The only rule is no spamming to get entries, anyone doing this will be disqualified. Just keep comments conversational as usual. :) Be encouraging, informative, helpful and courteous of other members and have fun. :)
