The Whovians prepare How about this for this week's RP:

"Got it!" Kyo shouted triumphantly.

"Wait, what?" Hane looked around, turning the puzzle description over, as if that would make it more understandable. "You solved Ms Miranda's questions?"

"Of course," Clara turned to check her answers against Kyo's and grinned "we're not just great pilots, you know."

"Puzzles, feh, only good if people's brains explode." mumbled Raw, sharpening her gutting knife. "Got anything I can carve up?"

Sera seems distracted, sketching on a spare piece of paper. "Hmm, I might just. What do you guys think of this?" She holds up a drawing of a Tranquility class vessel bristling with weapons. "Nice!" replied the halfling. "That's something we could do some damage with!"

"But we already have the shuttle. Maybe we should make a coach instead?" Sazi holds up her sketch of an open vehicle with sparkles and decorative shells and swirls, drawn by two pastel winged ponies. Clara blinked, trying to figure out how many layers of paint it would take to create that level of color.

"What will the Whovians choose? Will they be fanciful or practical? Find out on the next episode of Wayward Squirrel, the Whovian Way!" Kyo dodges a smack in the head from her mates. "Hey! narration is important -- helps people keep up."

[spoiler=Enjoying the Moment, While It Lasts...] After a busy day of travelling by air, fighting insane Darkfog monsters and getting to know Ms. Miranda, the Crystanians and half of the Wayward Squirrel, the Chimeriads finally climbed the ladder back up to inspect the floating inn closer. It appeared to be really big and posh-looking from the outside, just the opposite of the Darkheart Tavern. The insides of the Wayward Squirrel were just as neat and cosy as the inn looked from the outside. Krios was the only one of the Chimeriads who has ever entered the Squirrel before, so he made his way up to his guest room, while everybody else examined the big taproom and other shared areas. Kir apologized for the broken skylight and promised Winton to fix it immediately. While she was taping the broken window the best she could and secured the floorboards with large buckets from any possible incoming rain, the others cased the rooms and moved into a guest room each. Kir was the last to pick, yet she wasn't choosy where to sleep and found the smallest bedroom to still be way bigger and cleaner than any accommodation she had for quite a while.

By and by all the Chimeriads accumulated in the taproom, exhausted, but happy. Aldora ordered her long-awaited glass of wine, while Myra was sitting at a table with a large mug filled with hot cocoa and cream. Everybody got also served a big bowl filled with deliciously home-made casserole. It was just what the heroes of the Chimeriad needed after the struggle from earlier was over, so they leaned back in their seats satisfied.

Despite the simple meal, Myra was content. It was warm and cozy in the Wayward Squirrel Inn, a fire crackling, and she could already discern the relaxing fumes of the hot cocoa she had asked for. Ah, hot chocolate, and some cream would put the cherry on the cake! Shimmershadow was already asleep at her feet and so Myra nictitated and imagined being back home in her sunny garden, a soft spring breeze caressing her hair. She could almost hear a flock of little colorful birds sing a cheerful song and smell the earthy and essential scent of the nearby pines when she heard footsteps approaching......

Valera was being lazy so she was seen riding on Feng's back. "Turn right ye oaf!" You could hear her yelling from down the hall. Feng's heavy footsteps could be heard approaching where Myra comfortably sat. Eventually Valera managed to navigate Feng to the appropriate room. Patting his stone hide, the battered and bruised Valera jumped off his back and winced slightly from the pain. "Ye wouldn't by chance have a tonic o'er something to get rid of these 'ere bruises? I ache all over... M'sure Matthew is probably feelin' it too since Feng bodychecked the both us."

Myra opened her eyes and smiled engagingly. But of course there were victims of the battle waiting for treatment. "Ah, bruises," she said and shook her head slowly. "We already have tasks to accomplish tomorrow and a tonic or balm would need some time to do the trick. If you want to get rid of this by tomorrow, we have to adopt more drastic measures......."

Valera looked puzzled, her ears drooped back as she glanced over to Feng then back to Myra. "Drastic measures ye say? What kind of measures do ye mean?" In the back of her mind Valera had images of her trying to fight off large monsters just to obtain a specific herb or bathing in a tub of goo. She swallowed hard and, with a concerned look, she waited eagerly for Myra's answer.

Feng in the meantime grew curious of Shimmershadow. The lumbering giant slowly walked around the room and tried as carefully as it could to get a better look at the tiny little creature. The poor dainty creature was about the size of the lantern that hung around his neck - this for some reason intrigued the stone beast.

"A pirate like you knows no pain, I think," Myra pondered. "Wait a moment, I'll be right back......"

Myra gathered her dress and quickly went outside the inn. In passing, she saw Shimmershadow casting his eyes up at Feng with the intense expression he shows when trying to communicate via telepathy.

What a strange couple, Myra thought, opposing sights yet perhaps kindred spirits?

"I know plenty about pain m'lass." Valera added as Myra got up an left. Holding her arm, she rolled her shoulder to try and stretch the muscles. Wincing a bit from the strain she stopped and pulled up the side of her jacket and shirt to look at the giant black and blue bruise on her side up to her ribcage.

"Feng you could've been a wee bit gentler y'know." Valera said to Feng as she continued to examine the massive bruise on her side. "But I'm alive so I'm still thankful, but don't go lettin' that go to yer head!"

Feng tilted his head sideways as the small creature looked up at him. If he was trying to communicate somehow it wasn't working, Feng doesn't have much of a brain (or one at all!) in that solid stone figure of his.

With zest, Myra hastened back into the inn, sheltering something carefully with her small hands. It looked like leaves, but, wait, was there something moving? Somebody? Joyfully, Myra showed her little treasure to Valera, seeing out of the corner of her eyes that Shimmershadow laid one of his tiny hooves on Feng´s granite-like forehead.

"Look", she exclaimed, "such funny little cuties, so helpful when it comes to extracting blood out of bruises!" She held three little wiggling earth-brown worms in her hands, sitting on some wet maple leaves. "These are leeches! Aren´t they pretty? I am going to put them on your hematomas and when they bite with their tiny teeth, they suck away the blood in the bruises and simultaneously, give Hirudin in your circulation which is a mild antibacterial substance and prevents clotting and infection! Hopefully, you haven´t had too much alcohol or sugar, they don´t like that at all. Come along, boys, here we go!"

Of all things... It had to be leeches. Valera turned slightly pale and cringed at the sight of them. She looked up at Myra with a desperate look. "Does it have t'be leeches?" she whimpered. Sighing and taking a deep breath, Valera reminded herself that Myra went through some trouble to get her hands on the leeches. Before Myra could say a word, Valera steeled herself; "ALRIGHT! I'll do it! Going to need a string drink after this..."

Valera closed her eyes because the sight of the leeches made her slightly queasy. Needless to say the pirate was going to tough it out, hoping in her mind Myra knew what she was doing.

On the other side of the room Feng just stared at Shimmershadow as it clanged its tiny and delicate hoof on his stone forehead. This small creature perplexed him. Lifting his left arm, the giant stone beast, as gently as he could, poked the small unicorn in return with his one dulled claw. Feng didn't want to hurt Shimmershadow, he just wasn't sure what the unicorn was trying to do.

"You´ll see, they heal you in the blink of an eye!" Myra tried to soothe Valera, noticing her paleness.

Gently, she placed one leech on Valeras right ribcage where an angry blue-violet bruise showed up, the second on her right collarbone and the last on her left thigh. "Good boys," she crooned, "all have already bitten, you seem to be an enjoyable meal!" Myra sat down besides Valera, clearly admiring the little worm´s work.

"These are smaller ones yet they can do the work of big ones nevertheless. The big ones grow up to 16 inches. All of them have 80 teeth, did you know that? And they can drink blood five times their body weight! In the wild, they can live up to 20 years or more!"

Myra observed that Valera didn´t seem to share her fascination for this interesting species.

True enough, it would take some time until the leeches would have their fill and then just fall off. To take Valera´s mind off the leeches, Myra tried to buttonhole Valera into the vehicle discussion.

"What kind of vehicle would you prefer, Valera? I saw an enchanted hot-air balloon once and, since then, I dream of flying one! It was colored with light-blue and silver and had jeweled feathers hanging over the railing. The cover was formed like a pair of elven wings and snow-white and the basket was woven out of light pink enchanted elven silk, that was a sight! And now that I found a way to cope with my air sickness...."

Myra doused the center candle so that the leeches could do their work in a cozy half-dark.

Shimmershadow briefly looked up, then made a sound which reminded her more of a purr than a whinny and showed his belly to Feng, wiggling right and left.

Feng watched as Shimmershadow flipped onto his back showing his belly. Curious as to why the small unicorn would do this Feng started to lightly scratch the small creature's tummy.

Valera concentrated hard on something other than the leeches that were attached to her. When Myra started talking about larger ones the pirate felt as if she was turning green.

When asked about a vehicle, as much as she'd like an airship her fears about fighting more of those darkfog creatures came to mind. "As much as I'd love another airship I think I might prefer to keep m'legs on the ground. Not entirely sure to be honest but I've been havin' some back luck up in th'skies. Heh, maybe I can strap some'o'them jet boosters onto Feng and ride him!" Valera laughed as she glanced over at Feng. Feng looked up from the little unicorn and made what sounded like a sigh, he didn't like that idea.

Shimmershadow liked a good belly scratch and the monstrous beast called Feng was surprisingly gentle. The experience not to be able to communicate thoroughly with another being was new to him. What about using a smartstone? He had to think about this possibility.....

"I think your companion doesn´t like the idea too much," Myra laughed. "However, I can feel you there, hunnie. I am sure the others have some interesting thoughts about this, too! Look, the leeches fell off altogether! I´ll make you a light dressing now, then we can join the others for swapping ideas, what do you think?"

Valera was creeped out but yet relieved when the leeches detached themselves. Turning her attention quickly back to Myra, "Aye, t'would be a good idea, but first I'ma go grab m'self a good stiff drink."

After the dressing was applied to where the leeches once were, Valera stretched and tipped her hat to Myra. "Thanks for everything, I'll meet you back with the others in a few to discuss our vehicular issue."

Looking over at Feng who was intrigued by the small unicorn, "Feng, let's go. I hafta clean off that lantern o'yours and grab m'self a drink before meeting back up with the crew." The lumbering stone creature sat up, bowed its head in acknowledgement to Valera and followed his master obediently out the door without another thought.

Shimmershadow sighed and looked longingly after Feng. He curled up again at Myra´s feet and rested his little head on his tiny hooves. Despite all the noises in the taproom, companions talking together, loud laughter, beers put on the table with gusto and even a fiddler playing an odd song, he was sound asleep in minutes.

Myra looked around the room curiously and saw Aldora gamboling around, simultaneously whistling and trying some dancing steps. This girl always was a happy camper, Myra thought, she really makes the best of her day.

"Myra," Aldora called, and slithered to the table, awkwardly flailing her arms. "Can I ask you something about Telly?"

"Sure, go ahead!" Myra smiled and waited for Aldora to sit down.

Aldora glanced at the spot where her little dragon snored, close by the fireplace.

"You know, Myra, when Telly eats, he always gobbles his food down as quick as a wink! Otherwise, he really is a good boy, he seldom toys with his food, yet after his meals, Myra, he has to burp a lot and then he has to pass winds for hours and Myra, you can´t imagine it, the smell of them! Like bad eggs mixed with sewage and rotten flesh!"

Aldora wrinkled her nose yet then blowed a kiss lovingly in the direction of Telly, who only twitched with one ear.

"I really love him, my little dragon, but Myra, we have to take action here! He wants to sleep close to me during the night! This mass of gas, I can tell you, sometimes I wish for a mask! Any unseelie could smell him three miles against the wind! Winds in the wind, hah, from his behind, we have to fly blind, I am out of my mind - hah, that´s funny!"

Aldora squeaked and grabbed Myra´s arm with a ludicrous guffaw.

Shimmershadow stirred in his sleep and tried to bury his dainty ears below his forelegs.

Myra chuckled good-naturedly. Always good for a joke, this Aldora, even unintended.

"He´s a very young dragon, measured by the age his species reaches. Telly has certainly still a lot to learn, especiallywhen it comes to table manners, yet you can help him with his digestion quite easily. Just feed him a handful of small pebbles every week. That will help him grind his food and when the food is more chopped, there´ll be no more problems with winds anymore!"

"Oh, Myra!" Aldora yelled happily, "that would be fantastic! Let´s look together tomorrow morning for some fitting pebbles then! We have to search for materials for building a vehicle for us anyway, so we can combine the tasks! And look, the others are already talking about it, that´s exciting! Let´s join them!"

And with a playful spin, she dragged Myra along to catch up with the others on a nearby table opposite the counter.

“I really wonder what the Borderlands are like. I can’t wait to explore Bordertown tomorrow. It definitely looks like an interesting place from what we have seen so far.” Lilith said while finishing the last bit of her now cold casserole.

“It looks like a place full of adventures and mysteries, just waiting for more heroic deeds!” Krios exclaimed happily. All his exhaustion from earlier seems to be forgotten. He absently rubbed Telley’s back, while his thoughts wandered off to fights and challenges lying ahead of them.

“Yeah, heroic deeds are what this land needs.” Matthew agreed in a serious voice. “I really wonder how to solve these conflicts between the Unseelies and the Seelies. How are we supposed to conquer the Unseelies? Are we supposed to talk them out of it? We don’t even have a vehicle or the right kind of weaponry for a proper fight.”

“Oh, I heard we are allowed to build our own vehicle tomorrow using all kind of spare parts from Ms. Miranda’s surplus pits!” Aldora answered happily with her singsong voice, while moving her glass of wine in little circles.

“That’s great news!” Kir said excitedly. “Matt, you used to be a mechanic of some sort, if I am not mistaken? I bet you could build us any kind of vehicle in no time!”

“Well, I suppose so. If I have the right tools and materials, I am up for it!” Matthew seemed to be deep in thought, yet his facial expressions were always difficult to read with his blindfold covering the top half of his face.

“Any kind of vehicle? Even motorbikes?” Valera's head popped in through the entrance to the room, she joined in the conversation as she took a seat next to her colleagues. “The fast ones that rule the roads? I've always wanted to ride one of them cycles! Mebbe one day I'll git m'hands on one!”

“Well, I could build them, yet I would never ever be able to ride one myself.” Matthew replied in a sad tone, pointing to his blindfold.

“I've always dreamt of flying a beautiful hot air balloon. I saw one once as a little girl, and I always wanted to fly with one of those one day.” Myra rhapsodized, after taking a sip of her hot cocoa.

“Well, you didn't feel too well on a normal airship, stricken by scurvy... I don’t want to burst your bubble, but do you really think flying a hot air balloon would be a wise choice?” Valera spoke in a skeptical voice.

“We will need to see what materials and tools we can grab tomorrow before making any plans. For now we should just be happy that we have defeated those wraiths and celebrate still being alive!” Lilith ended the discussion.

Relaxing...the way of the Silver Legends anyways Fresh walks over to where Lovecraft remains unconsious from the zap from the final Darkfog Wraith and throws a cup on water onto her to wake her up. "WHAT THE!?" she yells as she sputters out water. "Seriously Fresh! Wait...what happened? Why am I on the deck of the ship?" she stares over at TeaRoll who is quickly picking up her dolls and tossing them back into her bag.

"The Squirrel is docked," Tea says. "We were victorious!"

"Livations here I come!" Witchy turns towards the Squirrel as the doors open welcoming them in.

Terrenaanimula and Gryffindor help Lovecraft up off the deck and help her towards the Squirrel. "I think some rest will do you good," Terrena says to Lovecraft as they get closer.

"Wow did you fly thru the air!" Gryffindor adds. "Lucky you didn't go overboard."

"I would have saved you!" Tea says urgently catching up. Fresh following feeling that they have forgotten all about his digression of not really helping and eating the cake instead.

As they enter into the squirrel they are greeted by Ms. Miranda, Pugsy and Jack. Lots of things are told to them, but the Silver Legends really aren't listening until a piece of paper is thrust at them.

"You want us to solve some puzzles?" says Fresh.

Witchy knowing exactly how to handle this, gets out the chains and stuff she has in her bags. Grabs Gryffindor and Fresh tossing them into chairs, "Get to work!" She then grabs TerrenaAnimula and heads off towards the bar for drinks. "We will be over here relaxing while you two get to work on those math number stuffs. And Tea see that Lovecraft gets a seat, she still seems a bit out of sorts."

Tea hurridly helps Lovecraft into a chair by Fresh and Gryffindor and then runs to catch up with Terrena and Witchy. She doesn't want to be any where near Lovecraft if she remembers what exactly happened outside.

Everyone seems to be unwinding, turning up the music and dancing around the squirrel. Gryffindor smiles as she watches as Witchy tries to grab Frieda(Freddie)'s tail as it swishes by her. She turns to grab the paper and look at the puzzles when suddenly finds that they are no longer in the Wayward Squirrel but what appears to be a court room.

She gladly realizes that she is not alone and her new team mates are there as well looking around as confused as she is. Fresh and Witchy on one side of the aisle with TerrenaAnimula, Lovecraft and Tea_Roll on the other while she stands behind them in the gallery.

"Um..." Gryffindor says. "Where the heck are we? Does this happen often?"

"SILENCE in my court!" a voice booms out and then starts to laugh as their friend Lariel appears before them. "I always wanted to say that," she says while taking a seat behind a judges bench.

"What are we doing here?" Fresh asks up at Lariel.

Lariel looks down and quickly reads a sheet of paper before her and then states, "Says here this is the case of FRESH versus No Cake."

"Lariel," Terrena starts, "We are kinda in the middle of something else."

"Oh for Subeta sake! We don't have time for this now!" Lovecraft states exasperated.

"Fair is fair," Lariel says, "Fresh deserves his day in court to get his cake and eat it too." Lariel smiles at her pun. "Now if you ladies concede and will allow him cake, we can call it a day."

"NO!" Tea_Roll yells, "NO CAKE FOR HIM EVER!"

"Wow!" Witchy suddenly blurts out. "My rainbow must be seriously strong. I swear we are no longer sitting in the Wayward Squirrel."

"I appreciate this and all," says Fresh, "But really right now isn't a good time for the trial."

"Well either now or unfortunately never," Lariel replies.

Fresh's eyes get big and wide, "Well I WANT cake!!!"

"NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!" Tea_Roll shouts and suddenly has cake and is shoving it her mouth. "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE CAKE!!"

"Bailiff," Lariel calls behind her, "Could you please remove Tea from the court and lock her up for a time. She needs to calm herself. She isn't being very lady like."

Habeebi appears from behind the desk dressed as an official and walks over towards Tea_Roll. As he crosses in front of the bench, he waves over towards Witchy who waves back.

"Seriously! This is some odd rainbow dream I am having," Witchy leans over and says to Fresh. "How did you get up from the table?"

Gryffindor is stunned. This is one strange experience. She starts to wonder if perhaps being outside so close to Witchy bringing the Squirrel in safely to dock caused her to have some second hand rainbow results.

"Tea," Habeebi says gently, "Please come peacefully. I don't want to have to handcuff you."

Lovecraft grins, "Well if she refuses to go quiet, I can always help take care of her. I'm sure I owe her for something, I just don't recall what right now."

TeaRoll allows Habeebi to take her by the one arm as she continues to shove cake in her mouth and begins to be lead out of the court. This is safer then letting Lovecraft remember being almost electricuted.

TerrenaAnimula leans towards Lovecraft, "Maybe we allow Fresh cake for now and revisit at a later date. We really need to get back."

"Agreed," Lovecraft says in return and turns to Lariel up on the stand. "Lady Terrena and I will allow Lord Fresh cake for the time being BUT we request that we are able to revisit this issue at a later date in the future. When everyone learns what he turns into AFTER he has had some cake." She pulls out a photo. "Which here is the evidence from a previous cake binge of his." She holds up the photo for everyone to see.

[spoiler=Photo that is held up]

"HOW did you get that photo of me?!" Fresh yells. "I swear that was a joke." Looking nervously up at Lariel thinking she may not agree with letting him have cake now.

"NOOOooooo," Tea_Roll yells as she is in the final steps of leaving the court to be locked up and is then taken from the room. "I'LL BE BACK!!!!!!!"

Lariel gives a long thoughtful look and nods her head. "I can agree to that. Fresh how about you?"

"Fine," Fresh says. "We have to get going anyways. AND they are allowing cake for now and I can live with that."

"It is settled then," Lariel says smiling. "Lord Fresh may have cake and Ladies TerrenaAnimula and Lady Lovecraft may readdress him not having it at a later time."

"Ooohhh!" Witchy says, "What about my Tea? Hallucinatory Habeebi dragged her away."

"As for TeaRoll," Lariel begins, "Shall remain in custody until she settles down and accepts that cake is to be had by everyone. That is all."

Just as suddenly as Silver Legends was in a court room, they are back in the Wayward Squirrel as they had been before the court.

"That was just odd," Gryffindor leans over towards Fresh. "I feel like I am being tossed around."

TerrenaAnimula and Witchy return to the table with some drinks and sit down. "Honey, stick with us long enough and you will feel like a used up washcloth," Witchy says addressing Gryffindor who now has a look of horror on her face.

Lovecraft, feeling better, sits up in her chair and tosses her feet up on the table (making every one there, scramble to move their drinks and food) she takes a huge gulp of a Fairy Sheeee Beer (a light and refreshing, sit on the beach type of beer) that Witchy brought over for her and feels very pleased with herself with Tea FINALLY gone.

"This puzzle will be solved in no time!" Lovecraft felt sure with Fresh and Gryffindor working on it.

Witchy, no longer having Tea to bicker with about who has the bigger slice of cake she simply smokes on her rainbow wondering when and if they will see Tea again. Terrena sits watching hopeful towards Fresh and Gryffindor. She wants to head towards the beds to get a little sleep before heading into the junk yard to pick up things they will need.

Lovecraft's eyes drift towards the table and the paper with the puzzle information on it. Gryffinor and Fresh, muttering to themselves, pieces of paper being used and discarded. Fresh glares up at Lovecraft, which she doesn't even notice, then goes back to the numbers.

SUDDENLY, Lovecraft heaves her king kong size feet off the table and yells "VICTORY IS OURS!"

The team look over at her in confusion as she grabs the paper out of Fresh's hand, a pencil out of Gryffindors and starts scribbling...

"THERE! HA! NOW we can relax. DRINKS ALL AROUND!" She yells.

Staring at her in horror, Fresh quickly jumps up, looking at the bar, "NO! NO NO NO! No drinks all around!" sitting back down and looking at Lovecraft, "What in the moons has gotten into you Lovecraft! You know better than to do that."

Witchy grins. Finally someone is learning to take her lead when it comes to handing out drinks.

Gryffindor looks at Lovecraft, and says "So. What do you got?" since no one else on the team seemed to be curious.

"The Answer!" grins. Pushing the paper towards Gryffindor and Fresh. They are astonished that Yes! she HAS got the answers.

Fresh, looking at Gryffindor, says, "Miracles never cease. Now Witchy untie us!" Realizing Witchy hasn't heard a thing since 'drinks all around,' Terrena gets up and unties Fresh and Gryffindor. Glad she didn't have to even look at the puzzle.

The Legends enjoy a fun filled night of drinking, dancing and food. Then turn into bed for some well deserved rest. Certain that tomorrow will bring more deadly fun adventure their way.

They weren't wrong. First thing in the morning they are tasked with having to design a craft that will take them out into the Seelie lands. First figuring out what they want to make and then the parts they will need from the junk salvage yard.

"A cake vehicle!" Fresh declares, "Now that I am allowed to eat it, we should have it constantly!"

"I hope our Tea is okay," Witchy says off topic. "Leaving her all alone." She perks up some, "But she was with MY Habeebi and surely he won't keep an eye on her forever."

"He better," Lovecraft looks up from her cup of coffee. "I have a shark with his name on it if he doesn't"

Witchy ignoring Lovecraft, grabs some paper and pens starts sketching up an idea for a craft that popped into her mind while she puffs away on her rainbow pipe.

"A cake mobile would be perfect," Fresh restates. "I'm allowed cake now and if we need food it is right there to eat."

"Something like this," Witchy turns her paper around to show the group.

Witchy idea

Lovecraft just sits back and enjoys a nice cup of coffee. She doesn't honestly care what they take. As long as they get going before Tea somehow returns, just in case Witchy's suggestion is true.

"I want to drive!" Gryffindor speaks up. "I'm a speed demon!" And thinks to herself,"so lots of crazy turns and screaming of these ill begotten travelers that kidnapped me! muwahhahaha. I'll show them!"

"You driving sounds good to me," Lovecraft says finally paying attention to the ship discussion. "So what have we decided on the ship?"

"We haven't had a real idea yet," TerrenaAnimula answers staring at Fresh who still seems to be fixated on cake. "I'm starting to think agreeing to letting him have cake was a bad idea."

"Lets just come up with something," Fresh says.

"I can drive anything," Gryffindor grins waiting for her moment...... [/spoiler]

What WILL the Silver Legends come up with...Tune in on the 8th to find out. grins

Raider’s Folly Chapter 3 Post 1 of 4
Quote by Raven
Judging by the looks on every one of my comrade&;s faces, they all had already checked in and fallen asleep before actually doing so. I coughed loudly attempting to break my friends from their reveries. "Guys, we actually have to check in," I said. I climbed down the ladder and waited for the others. Not wanting to tax Reaper more than necessary, I looked at my leopard and concentrated. Several of my runes started lighting up as my dark magic flared. Jhun started to levitate towards me. Once the leopard was safely on the inn&;s ground, I waited for the others to descend.

Quote by Paddy
Watching Ivan fly down to the Squirrel, I realised that he would be the perfect companion - I wouldn&;t have relished the thought of carrying last year&;s deer all the way down that ladder!
I was hoping to get some things sorted out, or at least find what was living in my coat pockets (all I could tell is that it wriggled and squirmed each time I moved), but I was so tired I doubted I would even change before falling asleep. Just as long as I stayed awake long enough to check in and find my way to my room.
Taking a deep breath, I climbed down the ladder, making a point to not look down. I certainly wasn&;t wanting to admit to being a scaredy cat.... er scaredy wolf when it came to heights.

Quote by Reaper
The soft thunking of the Frenchman as it docked was enough to make Spike ungraciously dig his talons into my ass. What a pleasant way to wake up…except not really. I possibly made a very un-me-like yelp as I shot up off the bed, knocking the dragon off and onto the covers. He hissed at me and snorted a puff of smoke from his nostrils in annoyance. “Serves you right for stabbing me,” I muttered as I gathered up my bag and staff, before flicking my head at him and dragging my hair off my shoulder so he could perch. Time to climb down to the Squirrel so I could go back to bed. I made it onto the deck at about the same time as everyone else, just in time for Raven to admonish everyone for having fallen asleep. I shrugged and leaned over the railing, looking for a soft spot below to drop my staff and bag – trying to climb down the rope ladders while carrying those wasn’t going to be easy. Unfortunately, there were too many people gathered around, so it looked like I’d have to make it work somehow. I turned my face to Spike, asking him as calmly as I could, to get his own butt down to the Squirrel already because I needed my shoulder for my bag. He huffed at me, but took off. One problem down, one more to go. I stepped over to the ladder and gingerly swung one leg over the railing, freezing up a bit at the height. I wasn’t sure I could do this; I am afraid of heights, sue me. After taking a deep breath to steady myself, I shimmied over the edge; bag slung across my shoulder, staff gripped tightly in one hand, and promptly froze again. Maybe I couldn’t do this, maybe I should just stay up here on the Frenchman. As I was about to heave myself back up onto the deck, I caught a flash out of the corner of my eye – it was the damned golem, running full speed towards the edge. “BONZAIIIIIII,” he yelled as he chucked himself off of the ship. Well, that settles it, if nothing else I’d need to be on the ground to see if I could catch the little bugger. I swallowed hard and started moving. Descending with only one fully empty hand was more terrifying than I thought, but I did it, carefully and slowly. When my feet touched the solid earth I let out a sigh of relief and straightened as I headed over to the Squirrel to check myself in and hopefully catch a nap. I heard the tail end of a conversation between Ms. Miranda and the rest of the team, something about building a transport for us just as soon as we solve her puzzles. Well, I was far too tired for that, hopefully we could sort it out after a little bit of rest. I managed to wrangle myself a room key and slip off my shoes before collapsing into bed (again). Spike, maybe in punishment for the earlier situation, decided my head was an appropriate place to sleep. I was too tired to move him though, and managed to barely mumble out “asshat” before passing out.

Quote by Die
They had to check in, when all he wanted was to fall asleep right where he was. It was bad enough they were handed two riddles, which he solved rather quickly with Paddy’s help now he had to keep moving. Die grumbled something under his breath that was not exactly polite as he moved toward the ladder. He waited until all three girls were on their way before following with Eolus still around his neck. About halfway down the little brat was half draped over his face and it was a thoroughly disgruntled alchemist that finally made it to the bottom.

“If you don’t move I will use you for a rug,” he muttered, though having his companion move to burrow through his hair and make a nest did not make him feel much better. Several strands of dark hair fell into his eyes and he ignored as he stepped forward. He had a moment to decide and as he reached Raven then he grabbed her hand, a glint in his stormy eyes. “I refuse to sleep alone.” He was not putting up a front for anyone.

Now maybe they could rest and later talk about what needed to be done.

Raider's Folly Chapter 3 post 2 of 4

Quote by Raven
Die and I checked into our room. I was very glad to have company—even if I got nervous around him. Both of us were tired but we still showered before settling into bed. After a good night kiss, I snuggled into his arms until we started drifting off.

I woke sore from my jumping onto the railings and dangling. I must have hit the boat without realising it—high on adrenaline. A pair of bright green eyes were glaring at me. They were not Die’s. “Go away, Jhun,” I muttered in drow. I was far too sleepy to realise it wasn’t in English. Jhun ignored me and started headbutting me. “Stop that damn it, you’re going to knock me out.” He hit my head with his so hard that I swore I felt like I was going to be rendered unconscious. The leopard gave me a look that was clearly a smirk, before turning and standing in my view for a moment. I groaned, it was too early to be pestered by a cat determined to be petted and then have him shove his privates in my face.

I shook my head and looked over at Die who was awake. I smiled, even if I didn’t want to be awake his face was worth it. It took me a moment to search for English in my head before saying, “Morning.” I sat up and tried to work out the pain from my shoulders. “My muscles are complaining at my little stunt last night. I’m going to shower and then I’ll wake the girls.”

I finally got up and stumbled into the bathroom. Grabbing some clothing from my gear, I showered and changed. Like it or not, it was time to greet the day. Dressed, I left our room for a moment and knocked on Paddy and Reaper’s doors. “Time to get up. I have breakfast ready. Come to my room in twenty minutes,” I called to each of them. Going back to our room, I gave Jhun and Eolus raw steaks, which they gobbled up quickly. They would probably go hunt later, but at least they were content for now. Then I pulled out the dried beef from my gear and some dried fruit. I quickly set the table and dished out the dried food on each plate. A glass of water for each person and breakfast was ready. Die came out of the bathroom freshly primped and looked at the spread with a quizzical eye.

Quote by Die
It was a pleasant night of sleep, even if Jhun woke them both by being a pain in the ass. Die watched with one bleary eye then grunted as Raven left the bed to get ready for the day. As soon as the bathroom was free he commandeered it for a bit of primping. He really did try to do something with his hair, though the neat look would not last long.

When he left the bathroom he walked toward the table and then stopped, arching a brow as he eyed the dried meat and fruit and- water. Not even a decent cup of tea. “What in the hell do you call that?” He sounded almost horrified before abruptly turning toward the door. “Flush that stuff or feed it to the brats, I’m going to fetch something to eat from downstairs.”

As soon as the door shut Eolus jumped onto the table, sniffed a piece of dried meat then growled at it before batting it to the floor. Everyone was a critic.

Quote by Raven
Talk about surly. “Hey,” I said in a slightly wounded tone, “that’s basically all I ever eat. Food is fuel you know. What do you expect, waffle trees? You know what drows eat? Mushrooms, worms, lichen, lower classes eat bugs, fish… be thankful I didn’t offer you that!” I moved to clean up the food, trying not to cry. I was just trying to get everyone breakfast and not even a bit of thanks.
Quote by Paddy
I was having the strangest dream.... A large cloud monster was battling Die and Raven, while Reaper was tethering a giant squirrel to the Floating Frenchman. A loud knock on my door woke me up, and I shook my head a few times to clear the dream from my thoughts. That&;s what I get for not having a mug of hot chocolate before bed.
Twenty minutes? The way my stomach was growling for food, I don&;t think I could&;ve lasted 10 minutes! "Come on Ivan, let&;s get some food" I said, almost running out of the door.

Die was just leaving the room as I approached, and not wanting to pry at their apparent argument, I tuned out the sound of Raven&;s voice and slipped into the room before he could shut the door behind him.
"What&;re you doing with the food?" I asked, as I saw Raven gathering up a tasty selection of dried meats and fruit.

Quote by Reaper
I heard a knock on my door and struggled up from my dreams – the smell of brimstone tickling at my nose like a phantom. Better not to dwell on that too long. I rolled my head on my shoulders, neck protesting a little, as I eased myself off the bed. Would nobody ever let me just sleep? I didn’t see Spike anywhere, but the window was cracked so he’d probably gone off to hunt himself up a breakfast, hopefully he wouldn’t eat anything that belonged to someone else. I hunted up a comfortable set of clothes, loose pajama pants and a plain shirt; I was hoping to get back in bed after I had a bite of food and found out what they wanted so early. I shuffled down the hall trying to guess which room might belong to Raven, when the answer was given to me abruptly, as I nearly ran into Die while he stalked out of the room – Raven hollering after him about food. Oh. Out of their room it seems. I mumbled a gruff “morning” as I passed him, sighing as I knocked on the door to their room, and announcing myself to Raven. I’d learned well enough about the unpleasant consequences of opening doors uninvited.

Raider's Folly Chapter 3 post 3 of 4

Quote by Raven
Paddy slunk in as I was clearing up all my hard earned food. The tears were starting to flow, even though I was working hard at trying to keep them at bay. I didn’t have time to reply, as Reaper knocked on the door. I opened the door with the bits of food in my hands and tears in my eyes. “Come in,” I said gruffly to Reaper. “Apparently, what I had for us for breakfast is offensive. Die’s gone to get some for everyone.” I stalked off to the trash as some runes sparked. Jhun laid on the bed watching Eolus bat my remaining piece of beef around on the floor. I didn’t look at my friends. I had felt proud for having gotten food for everyone, that I had taken the chore away from someone else. That I was giving them something I had worked extremely hard getting. But my best wasn’t good enough.

[Quote=Paddy] I grabbed Raven's arm before she could throw the food away. "If you're going to toss all that food, at least let me take some of it." She stared at me, as if I was taking the mickey. "Living in the woods near a full moon, you get the taste for fruit and dried meat was always Uncle's favourite thing to take if he was heading out," I shrugged, taking some of the food from her.

No sooner had I sat down and started nibbling the dried meat than someone started kicking the door. Looking around, I realised nobody else was going to let Die in (after all who else could it be at this hour?). "You guys just stay there then, I'll go shall I?" I had just finished my sentence, when Reaper was already at the door.

Die squeezed through the door, carrying the largest tray of food I'd seen in a while. Ok, I admit it looked more tempting than the dried meat, but I could stash some of that in my pockets for later. And tea? I never knew that a necromancer's taste for drinks was the same as a werewolf's. I just hoped he hadn't added sugar to it, as I took a cup. [/quote]

Quote by Die
Die had not meant to upset Raven. Hopefully she would get used to his sarcasm but it was simply just a part of who he was. Most the time it was just harmless grumbling. Still, if she were upset she would need to tell him and why, it was better than letting these things fester. He heard her yelling about food just as he passed Reaper and he murmured his own ‘good morning’, his mind focused on something hot to drink.

It wouldn’t take long to borrow a large tray and pile some food on it; a whole plate of sausages and bacon, fresh fruit, croissants and biscuits to go with the platter of scrambled eggs and a carafe of juice and tea. It was heavy and he was lucky to be able to carry the damn thing though he had to kick the door with his boot until someone opened it. He would have to take it straight to the table and plop it down with a grunt. “Serve yourselves,” he panted, flopping into a chair then shooting everyone a wry smile. “Sorry, not quite myself until I am floating in tea.”

It was then he noticed Raven’s upset look and was that a tear track on her cheek... it only took a moment for him to rise to his feet and draw her into a quick hug. “I apologize if I was an insensitive beast- not quite myself in the mornings,” he murmured, squeezing her tight then smacking her bottom as he pushed her toward the chair beside him. They could discuss it more later if she wished but for now it was time to eat, after sleeping all night then they had plans to discuss.

Quote by Reaper
Shit, the drow was crying. Apparently they’d had a lovers spat, but I couldn’t bring myself to even begin to deal with that this early in the morning. I glanced at the food she was tossing, silently grateful that something else was coming, and then at the demon rabbit who was currently bopping a piece of dried meat around the floor. Huh, who knew rabbits played like cats did. I slumped into a chair, fingers digging into my eyelids to massage away the headache that was forming, jumping up as soon as I heard the boot banging against the door. I stepped aside as I opened the door wide for Die. Thank the gods for food. I grabbed up some bacon and a biscuit, wrinkling my nose at the lack of coffee as I poured myself some juice (and wouldn’t some booze go nicely with this, too bad for me I’d left mine in my room), and tried very hard to ignore the way Die grabbed Raven and flirtatiously smacked her behind. At least they weren’t trying to hide it from me anymore, but honestly I didn’t know how much more of this I could realistically take. Whatever, we had a job to do here, and the sooner someone explained to me what they needed from me, the sooner I could go back to bed for a bit hopefully. I sat in one chair, legs crossed, plate balanced precariously on my knee as I waited for Raven to tell me why I’d had to get up so damned early.

Quote by Paddy
Either I was still dreaming, or Die had just slapped Raven across the backside.... I pinched myself on the arm, which hurt like crazy. Ok, I definitely wasn&;t dreaming, but this was starting to get uncomfortable now and that wasn&;t just down to the fleas on my paw that were starting to demand attention. Grabbing a croissant, layering a piece of bacon & sprinkling some of the dried fruit over it, I finally looked at Raven.
"So just why," I said, through a mouthful of food, "did we need to get up so early.... apart from breakfast of course."

Raider's Folly Chapter 3 Post 4 of 4

Quote by Raven
Bless the werewolf’s heart for trying to spare my feelings. But I strongly doubted she actually wanted the accursed food. When the kick to the door came, I didn’t even bother to open the door for Die. Let someone else get it and his stupid breakfast. In the back of my mind I knew he had no way of knowing exactly how I had lived as a ranger. That I had hunted for food and traded it for dried foods so I could survive and it not spoil. He couldn’t have known that he had told me to throw away about fifteen hours of hunting and skinning for the 4 male deer I had caught. I rarely ever ate fresh meat and wasn’t really great shakes at cooking. Sure I could roast a small animal over a spit if I had too but I didn’t put much thought into food. I simply ate because I had to—to survive. I would force myself to eat things I found distasteful—like the drow food I’d grown up with. I had gone many days without food too—empty belly and terrible cold seeping through me. I would explain it to him later—this relationship was new for us both.

Die got back up from his breakfast after noticing I was distinctly missing from the table. Truth be told, I didn’t remotely want breakfast now. I wanted to go on a run after smashing a plate over Die’s head….But I was trying to be a little less impulsive in my anger. He drew me into a hug and apologized and, damn it, my anger and hurt leached away. I knew then the bastard was going to get away with shit because I loved him. His hand slapped my bum and my eyes widened. Had he just done that in front of Paddy and Reaper? The smile spread on my face despite myself. “Next time, I shall smash a plate on your head before you walk out,” I said, sticking my tongue out at him.

I suddenly was hungry and loaded up the plate with food. I would try to taste things—it was important to my little food snob alchemist. Midway through food, I reached for the piece of paper and pen that I had placed on the table. I quickly sketched a chariot. “I admit, I don’t know a lot about vehicles, but I recall seeing one like this,” I said, showing them my drawing. “With the metal in the yard, instead of wood, I’m confident I could make this with some modifications. The wheels would be replaced with some wings and Paddy—I think Die said the needles he used to poke out the creature’s eyes where for knitting? If you got some new needles, could you craft some wing covers out of wool? If I used iron it could help fortify us against other feys. And thankfully, I have no allergy to iron so that won’t be a problem. If Die could put in some protective runes into the iron and Reaper could use some spells to make it hover, we would have a fine craft.” My list was fairly simple: 8 iron sheets (one for the floor, 2 for each wing, and the rest for the body of the craft), knitting needles, and wool. With the blowtorches in the yard I could weld the iron together simply enough.

Quote by Paddy
I looked at the sketch and just hoped that someone had some metal working skills. I could make things from wood, but welding metal was something I&;d never got on well with.... not that I was going to tell them about accidentally setting my tail on fire from a welding spark.

Hang on a minute, did Raven say knitting?
"You want some wing covers knitted?" I asked, "that&;ll take me forever if I&;m the only one working on it. Unless anyone else wanted to help," I added, looking at Raven, Die and Reaper.

Quote by Raven
“I wouldn’t half-mind learning snitting,” I said, “but I don’t think we have time for that. “I guess if we don’t have time for the covers, we could do without. But I should like learning how to weave wool with those little needle sword thingies. If you’ll teach me at some point?” I asked. I didn’t have many hobbies that didn’t involve athleticism or violence.

Quote by Paddy
"I&;ll willingly teach you - I think with the way you can wield a sword, you&;ll get on brilliantly with a set of needles. As long as I&;m not interrupted, I&;ll do my best to get those covers knitted."
Standing up to get my knitting supplies from my room, I had a sudden thought. "Anyone have any preference on colour, or would Reaper&;s magical skills extend to changing fluorescent pink wool into something a little more subtle?"
I laughed at the look Die was giving me but I couldn&;t help it - most of the wool I&;d brought with me was pink.

Quote by Die
“My head is hard enough,” he smirked, loading his plate and pouring some wonderful tea. As for the quick slap to the backside… it was not a cardinal sin. It wasn’t like he tossed her on the floor and humped her leg like a horny rabbit (besides he had forgotten for just a moment they were not alone). As they ate his gaze skipped around the table to each face. Despite what Reaper might think he did like her, considered her a friend as well as Paddy. Nothing was done to hurt her- this was his family. Well this and a many greats nephew that had tracked him down months ago. A story for another time.

Then Raven pulled out a sketchbook for the vehicle they would need soon. Metal and knitting? He wondered if you could knit metal if he found a solution to make it soft enough. Maybe if he mixed an acid with- no no he really did not need to disappear in his own head! Was hot pink wings mentioned just now? He shot the werewolf a look but honestly he didn’t care about the color.

“Pink wings… might as well dress in a tutu and pirouette around the park,” he muttered, a slight teasing smile quirking his lips. It was going to be an interesting journey wasn’t it? He hoped so. And maybe, just maybe he could find the right solvent to burn the runes into the metal and edge them in pink. Matching was important.

Quote by Raven
I smiled and went back to eating my breakfast. My leg hooked around Die’s under the table. I was looking forward to what we had in store—learning more about him and experience things with him. And of course there were my friends whom I loved deeply. And now I was going to pick up a new hobby—I would just have to remember what the darn thing was called…. Sknittering? Colour didn’t matter at all, we just needed the covers to help keep ice from forming on the wings if it got cold. An iron chariot with pink wing covers… well, at least it would be easy to spot where we parked.

Cream awoke to a flurry of noise on deck,Peering up with half-closed eyes she saw that the others had arrived. Oh it must be time to see if our efforts were up to par or not she thought to herself while stretching and rising to her feet.

After listening to mrs.miranda and some other folks talking for a while it became apparent that they had indeed been successful enough to keep the wayward squirrel from immediate peril and folks were very happy that it had been saved. So happy that they began to bring out food and set up a band and the squirrel was opened up to the group to allow them some rest before continuing on with the adventure.

Cream thought that a rest sounded really nice at that point since her nap had been cut short so she bent down to pick up her satchel that was still holding the sleeping fuzzybottom and proceeded to head for one of the rooms in the wayward squirrel. As she passed folks on her way she clapped a few on the back and offered some hearty congratulations on a job well done.

Once she had successfully entered the squirrel she headed for a room that was a distance away from the rest of the rooms and began to unpack her satchel and get cozy on the plush bed with fuzzybottom curled up at her side. Propping her feet up on a spare pillow she began to recall the events of the past few days and marveled over just how lucky they were to of made it through it all.

Briefly she began to wonder what bordertown would hold for herself and fuzzybottom and just what exactly might be in those surplus pits that mrs. miranda had mentioned,After all she loved a good tinker. She didn't have much time to wonder however as the wear and tear from the hustle and bustle of the events passed took hold of her exhausted body and she drifted off into a deep and peaceful slumber.

The Foggiest Notions - Chapter 3

Quote

A Puzzling Test and a Good Night’s Rest

Turf, only hearing the tales of the Wayward Squirrel, was in awe of the structure before him. He and his fellow adventurers, The Foggiest Notions, entered the Squirrel with relief. They had helped anchor it down as it was spinning out of control off of its path while battling wraiths that came out of the darkfog.

Armina walked up behind Turf, tapping him on his left shoulder as she passed by him on the right, a little antic she often played on the unsuspecting; it never failed. Turf quickly spun to his left to find no one there. The look on his face as he stood there with his mouth hanging open like a venus fly trap, staring at the Wayward Squirrel made her chuckle, not to mention he just fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Those of the group that had visited the Squirrel before were glad to be back, some of them missed the comradery while others missed the specialness of the place. It was magical and it felt like a home away from home.

The warrior plucked Odin from his perch on her forearm and stuffed him into her satchel, better not to provoke chaos again by allowing the small dragon the freedom to roam. Armina motioned to the others to follow as she entered the Squirrel.

“This place is so much better in person, the tales don’t do it justice,” said Turf to no one in particular. He found a table and the group sat down with him, “Before we head to bed, I want to try figuring out these puzzles that Ms. Miranda presented.” He laid the paper down on the table and everyone started looking over them.

Fern was sure she knew the answer of Ms. Miranda’s birthday, she tried to explain it to the group. At first the group thought they had the answer but then Ravensong chimed in with her thoughts and left the rest of the group in puzzlement. Turf was genuinely confused, as the birthday puzzle left him with a mild headache.

Max was quiet as a mouse as he stared at the numbers on the paper and scratching Tinkers head absent mindedly. He was thinking about the first puzzle and who could possibly be the culprit and what he was selling. He started looking at the puzzle from a different perspective and it came to him, he wrote down the answer and the group looked at him in astonishment.

“Well that was fast, great job Max,” exclaimed Turf, so loudly that his companion Frink stuck his head out of Turf’s cloak and gave everyone a raspberry of epic proportions. Frink then flew off and found a quiet spot to sleep.

The Warrior was just returning from the bar with a large ice cold mug of ale just as the vagabond finished writing. “Of course Max would know the answer,” the warrior said to herself, “What doesn&;t he know?” Armina rolled her eyes.

"Yes, that." Max responded to the comment with a finger pointing to the burglar riddle. "This is elementary if you were ever a bored individual in a math class. That...is that..."

"All of this thinking as well as that battle has left me starved," said Turf as he pulled out a large handful of berries from his cloak. He offered them to the rest of his newfound friends.

“What kind of berries are these,” Ravensong asked as she ate one.

"They have a very unique taste." Fern added in response to Ravensong&;s question as she shared one of the berries with Tito, unable to keep from giggling when the tiny owl pecked at the fruit happily.

“Cactus berries…” answered Turf and then was cut off by a familiar voice.

“You rang, my dear boy,” said the voice of Eurus from the magical arm band thing-a-ma-jig strapped to Turf’s arm. Startled, Turf let out a small yelp and everyone stared at his arm.

“Eurus,” exclaimed Armina and then realizing how excited she was, became embarrassed and gave Max a dirty look as he looked at her with a smirk on his face. Admittedly it was strange to hear his voice coming from the device strapped to Turf&;s arm, but none the less Armina was excited to hear him speak. She missed him immensely in spite of her new attraction to the satyr.

“Oh… Eurus!” shouted Turf, “I forgot about the magical word to communicate to you.”

“So, did you need something or was this a false alarm,” asked Eurus

“Well… it’s a false alarm,” said Turf sheepishly.

"False alarm, my a....... behind," Armina spat, "We could use some help here, Eurus! This puzzle has us.... well puzzled my dear friend. We are all tired and if we don&;t come up with a solution soon I may very well pass out from sheer exhaustion!"

Max chimed in with his greeting, though he wasn&;t sure if he was visible to Eurus. "Evening fabulous friend!"

After explaining the puzzle of Ms. Miranda’s birthday, Eurus responded with, “Ah, I see. Well you know I’m not that good with puzzles, as you might remember, but you are all in luck today. I was confronted with a similar puzzle recently, I was told how to come about the answer but it made absolutely no sense to me… at first.”

Eurus explained the answer in depth and then said, “Well I hate to run, as I have some catching up to do with each and every one of you, but Evangelista is calling for me. Everyone say hello to her!” But before any of them could, the communication went silent.

Turf, embarrassed that he forgot about the secret word to contact Eurus, was glad that he had said it as he and the rest of the Foggies were at a loss for the answer to Ms. Miranda’s birthday.

After her question about what Turf was eating had brought contact with Eurus, Ravensong was glad to have the puzzles figured out and breathed a sigh of relief at being able to empty her mind of all distractions of the day.

Humming quietly to herself as she stroked a hand over Kabe&;s fur, Ravensong soon found herself nodding off at the table, waking up with a sudden jerk before being lulled to sleep once more by the large cat&;s purring.

It was time for them all to head to bed for the night, as some of them were nodding off. They were relieved to also have the chance of getting washed up as the darkfog had left them all feeling very dirty. In the morning they would meet up with Ms. Miranda and relay their answers to her.

"I&;m going to go get some sleep, my new-found friends, I&;ll see you all in the morning. It&;s so awesome being on an adventure with such awesome people," Turf said as his eyes landed on Fern, "Well... anyways, goodnight! Come on Frink." Frink, who had been hiding in the rafters, came to rest on Turf&;s shoulder and yawned a tiny yawn as they headed off to a room for some rest.

Max, seeing that Ravensong was out cold at the table, decided to carry her on up to a room, “Come my dear lady, it’s time for bed.”

Fern gently scooped her sister’s cat Kabe as Tito followed behind, flying sleepily through the air.

Armina was last to head off to bed, finishing off her ale, “What a day this has been and this adventure has barely started.” She said quietly as she looked into her bag where Odin was already asleep. Off to a room she went, hoping for a good night’s rest.

I nodded in approval as I waited for Brynna to bring my bags into the Wayward Squirrel so that we could settle in. So this was the inn the crew was trying to secure. I stood just inside the doorway as I looked around the interior of the place. Not bad... it will do for now as I try to figure out exactly what is going on. I instinctively smoothed my hair in place even though there was no need. I had made sure I looked presentable after my... outburst on the ship but I still felt rather icky and was dying to refresh myself in privacy.

This time, Brynna won&;t be getting away. I&;m going to squeeze the answers out of her if I have to. She owes me. Especially after what happened. I mean, what is the point of hiring a bodyguard if I&;m the one having to protect myself? I have no doubt I can protect myself, from people that is. Fighting and all that physical stuff is to be left to the hired muscle. This time around, Brynna was as helpful as a ton of bricks. Hell, a ton of bricks would have been more useful to me at the time.

I felt myself start to fume once more and took a deep breath to calm down. No more outbursts... No more unpleasantries, I reminded myself. I am a lady. I am dignified... Except I was surrounded by oddballs who appeared to have gathered for something big that was happening. I caught a few words here and there from passing conversations, but it only puzzled me more. Seelie? Protectors? This sure as hell wasn&;t your run-of-the-mill gathering.

Taking a deep breath I approached HRH. I can not view anywhere her hired muscle; I hope that just they, how you call? Clear the airs. If she fired her henchwoman, it is not I be taking that job, chere. I do not, bien sur, pry. This is no chat to begin with a ruffled bird.

"M&;zelle, I am come to clear my name. I promised you at first civilization I would buy two gowns to replace their sacrificed sister. And, me, I do not know if this be civilization by either of our terms. Just know that if you find such gowns my purse is at your disposal."

Her face, neutral it remained. I struggled to match her thoughtful look. It was preposterous that such a one should be here. I saw no end of rutted road going into danger with this demoiselle.

But Life and chance have well taught me that shallow waters run deep. Never does one fully see the truth. That job is of &;TiBonAnge, and to him I leave it.

"And M&;zelle, so that you see that Toussaint L&;overpass is more than a mindless gown...enhhh...murderer, may I extend to you an invitation to meet the Sovereign Queen of the Tiniest Court? I vouchsafe the Queen will receive you with full honors!"

From charwoman to countess, ploughman to peer all persons want always to meet the King and Queen of ANY court, regardless how tiny.

Et, I had missed not my guess. HRH lit up like a Moon Festival sparkler! I began to count silently, &;quat, twa, due...&;

"AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" right on time...heheheh...she could be heard across galaxies "I don&;t have anything to WEARRRRRRRR""

My Queen, she knows that I require a second coffee before dealing with thoroughbred ladies. In my ear I heard the golden bells of my Queen&;s laugh as HRH ran toward the women&;s quarters.

The coffee was bitter. Being right, she is sweet always, eh, chere?

Vixen looked down at her drink and wondered just exactly what was in a "squirrely nipple" anyway? It tasted rather like squirrels arse really she giggled. Then she wondered how she knew what a squirrels arse tasted like anyway and giggled even more. She could hear that Prof with the funny accent talking about meeting a Queen. She looked over and saw Mal making her way to the bar and patted the stool next to her. "I don&;t recommend the mixed drinks but the stool is cozy" she told her. She wondered where Cali had ventured off to...

Mr. Whiskers and I had managed to sneak our way into the kitchens unnoticed. We watched from under the table as we started drooling. It smelled delicious! Everybody was so busy cooking, arranging, and serving that it was almost too easy for me to get my hands on samples.

"Mmmm... this is great!" Mr. Whiskers meowed in agreement as he made short work of the piece of chicken I shared with him. After licking my fingers clean, I poked my head from out of the table to try and see what else was on offer.

"Which one do you want to try Mr. Whiskers?" Mr. Whiskers gave me a look. "You&;re right! We&;ll try everything!" I grinned happily. The feast has just begun! We settled in and began gobbling up the delicious food in a single minded rush.

"Hey... is it just me or does the food seem to be disappearing?" One of the kitchen workers had apparently noticed. I stopped tearing into the chicken drumstick to keep quiet.

"Nah... it&;s probably just because all the Protectors are here and we&;re extra busy this evening catering to them. You should see some of them. Plate after plate of food like they have a hollow leg or something!" Another worker replied as they chopped something rather loudly.

"Or a hollow stomach!" They both laughed and shook their heads. I started to quietly nibble on my drumstick as I kept listening to the conversation.

"But seriously, every time the Protectors stayed here, we went through enough food to feed Africa for years. We could hardly keep up with all the work! Plus, more of them join the ranks every year." The one chopping the vegetables chuckles.

"I guess it&;s the least we could do, considering what these Protectors have done. I heard that they saved the day every time there was trouble!"

"Yep... did you hear about when they saved the princess of Crystania last year? It was amazing!" The man kept chopping away as he started to tell the story of how the adventurers managed to foil assassinations, defeat necromancers, save cats and blah blah... I felt myself zone out of the story.

After checking that it was safe, I managed to grab a small bowl of soup that was sitting on the counter, unguarded.

"Clam chowder, yum!" I dug into the yummy soup with gusto. I knew coming along would be worth it!

Mal&;s eyes went wide as she took in the menu names as she joined Vixen at the bar.

She leaned over the counter and got the bartenders attention.
"I&;ll take the.. Dark Ale Tail.." She frowned at the board. Well, when in Rome..

"What&;s up Vixen girl? What do you think of all of this?"

"I think it&;s amazingly strange actually" Vixen told Mal as she joined her. "It&;s a good thing that I love strange." she laughed. She really had enjoyed all the commotion and was loving all the different people she was meeting. The bartender returned with Mal&;s drink and Vixen watched her face as she took a drink. You would have thought she was sucking on a lemon. It was funny but she managed somehow not to giggle. "So what do you think of this umm adventure so far?" she asked Mal.

"Strange is a good word for it. Never thought I&;d see an inn floating in the middle of nothing. I keep waiting for a lady on a broomstick and flying monkeys to start swooping in."

When I got to my room in the inn, I found that Brynna had already brought in the bags and was nowhere to be seen. Really... this was getting to be downright ridiculous! She is actively avoiding me! Am I that intimidating?

I started digging into my bags to look for a proper dress when I replayed the conversation I had with the man who I heard being referred to as The Prof. Say... we never actually introduced ourselves in the first place! I had no idea what his name was, nor he of mine.

"Sovereign Queen of the Tiniest Court? Who is that anyway? I&;ve never heard of her before."

I murmured to myself as I paused to think. Was this man an emissary of some sort? I had certainly never heard an accent quite like his, so it was obvious he was from a foreign country - one that I wasn&;t familiar with. Never mind that now! I&;m curious to see who this queen is.

After a while, I was finally dressed and looking presentable in a beautiful gown of midnight blue with silver accents. My hair was also artfully arranged and braided with silver thread to emphasize the colour. I was definitely dressed meet any queen of any court. I proudly made my way towards The Prof with a serene smile. While my face betrayed nothing, I inwardly noted with satisfaction that there were more than several admiring glances coming my way. Clearly, my choice of attire had the desired effect.

"Hello again, Monsieur. I believe we haven&;t had the chance to introduce ourselves properly - due to untimely circumstance. My name is Angelica Faye, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Now that the situation appeared a bit more normal, I felt myself shift comfortably into the familiar role of a charming socialite.

Quote by Brynna
I had managed to get my bags and all of Angelica&;s assorted baggage put into our respective rooms (which were thankfully in different corridors!), grab a nice hot shower and put on some fresh clothes all while not running into Angelica.
I felt my gut clench and my left ear began to itch...it does that when I feel guilty about something. I knew I wasn&;t being fair to Angelica and that I really should let her bawl me out good and proper for dragging her along into what was already a hot mess. I just couldn&;t bring myself to face her quite yet though. Thank the gods I had told the deck hand to ensconce her in a cabin on The Frenchman so she didn&;t see or have to deal with those nasty fog monsters! If she had even caught a glimpse of those things, she&;d have me skinned alive for getting her that close to danger. I genuinely felt guilty though. Angelica came across as uptight and demanding, but I had gotten to know her somewhat before this whole debacle had landed on us, and she was really a very cool lady. She could be amazingly charming, sang in a voice that was just short of magical (though I don&;t think I would ever tell her that or gods know how big her ego would get)and had a wicked sense of humor when you got a couple of cocktails into her.
Sigh.
I really need to talk to the rest of my shipmates to explain to them that Angelica was kind of dragged into this whole thing and that I&;d appreciate it if they gave her some leeway until I could have that dreaded chat with her to explain everything. I tucked my pistol under my pillow, secured my tiny derringer on my ankle and pet my fluppy, Pink.
"Angelica still doesn&;t know that my little snugglekins is even with us because she is such a good widdle flying puppy...yes she is, oh yes she is..."What?I&;m great with a weapon, love a good strong mug of mead and like a good fight, but who can resist that adorable face? Look at it!
Resistance is futile!

Wait. What was I doing?

Oh yeah! back on track....

I threw a light cloak on and pulled the hood up to obscure my face just in case and headed down to the bar in hopes of finding my new friends. People were chatting about the offer Ms.Miranda had given about access to her surplus pits for getting some kind of transportation together as I passed by them. I had heard something about that now that I think about it, but at that point I was too busy avoiding Angelica to have really paid much attention. Yet another thing I needed to talk to the girls about I guess (and The Prof...can&;t forget him).

I made it to the bar without incident and found Vixen and Mal sipping at drinks and chatting like old friends.
"Ladies, mind if I join in? I need a good stiff drink before I go and face The Unicorn" They both looked at me confusedly. "Angelica. I call her that in my head. She&;s beautiful, graceful, elegant and deadly...so a Unicorn just fit. And speaking of her, I feel like I should apologize to not just her, but all of you guys as well and explain a couple of things.

See, Angelica has no clue what is really going on here. She hired me a couple of months back as a bodyguard for when she had jobs in less than safe areas or areas that were politically unstable. We were supposed to be going to Dueseltun for her to perform when all of this just kinda blew up. I should have told her that she needed to find another bodyguard and left her behind, but she really is amazing when it comes to negotiations, dealing with royalty, pretty much anything that involves charming the pants off someone...and I thought maybe that skill set would come in handy for what we may face ahead in this. Ya know, what with there being two royal courts involved.

So, uh, yeah.

Please be forgiving of her, um, demands, no! Her demeanor, that&;s the word I was looking for! Yeah, please give her some extra leeway until I can sit her down and explain all of this to her? I need to find Aria, Cali and The Prof to talk to them about this to I guess, but I found you two first. Oh, and what&;s all this talk about a vehicle?"

I had just word vomited all over these poor women and yet they both just smiled at me and Vixen went so far as to wave the bartender over for me! These really are my kind of people."Mead. Viking&;s Blood if you have it please." I told the bartender. The first gulp went down smooth and velvety. The second gulp was on the same path when I spotted Angelica, decked out in a fancy dress and all the accessories, gliding through the room. I nearly choked to death right then and there.

I grabbed the bartenders sleeve and whispered, "the bottle please?" Then, I am ashamed to admit, I quietly murmured something about being in my room to Mal and Vixen and scurried towards a set of stairs I had seen tucked away for the service staff. Why did this petite woman make my stomach knot at the thought of her yelling at me? It&;s not like she would ever deign to hit me or anything. And it wouldn&;t hurt if she did hit me! I just wasn&;t ready to face her wrath right now.

Sigh.

"When did I become such a mouse?" I asked Pink as I leaned back against my room&;s door. I took a swig from the bottle and decided a nap was called for before anything else. Yep...a nap. Zzzzzzzzzz.

[quote=Mal] Mal watched as Brynna quietly snuck out of the bar. It was easy to see who she was avoiding. Mal nudged Vixen.

"Dude.. Speaking of strange.. Something going on between those two or is it just me?" She said in a low, conspiratorial voice to her new drinking buddy.

She put her drink up to her face and sipped from it as she watched Angelica from behind the glass. The flouncy lady didn't even seem to notice the timid girl as she fled the room. She was too busy marking who was important no doubt. Mal wasn't on t

Frieda did a little turn as she danced and flicked her tail in Witchy's direction. She wasn't exactly flirting as much as she was just playing a 'catch-me-if-you-can'game. She giggled as Witchy missed the first time. Frieda didn't really mind when people pounced on her pretty tail, she always took it as a sign of affection and budding friendship and she eventually let Witchy catch it.

The Stone Cold Rogues Magic Terapin Glider

Description "it is a Loggerhead Schooner. It definitely has some "firefly" elements in it because it was cobbled together from old ships parts, but it has a Faerie imagination flair to it in that the body resembles a loggerhead sea turtle. It will have to be piloted by a magic user. The sails can capture wind, solar power or faerie power, the mechanical turtle flippers steer and act as landing gear and are operated by faerie machinery. The carpace panels open up to reveal weaponry, if needed ( faerie cannons, etc. ) The giant eye is a laser fog cutter. Inside the mouth is Espergile Orbital Canon, a psychic weapon

The Bohemian Traveler's Ride For safety purposes, all items from the junk yard and used within these schematics, must be restored to working condition by a Mage. All rusted parts must be conditioned using Motor Oil or Black Oil (which has been removed from a lamp).

We obtained permission from the custodian, Ms. Miranda, to enter, hunt, scrounge and remove items from the junk-yard.

Take a Fantastic tricycle, to the rear end weld a Layered Copper Pipe, horizontally, using the welder found in the Chief Engineer Toolkit. To the pipe attach a Pumpkin Carriage, cut in half with a Spectrabeam Laser. Next add 1 Front-Mounted Spare Tire (to the front) and 6 Battered and Broken Wheels ( 2 to the tricycle and 4 to the carriage). On each wheel add Severely Rusted Mutilation Shears for the ends of the wheel hubs for shredding other bikes and cars tires that get too close. Take a Beach Chair and screw it on top of the tricycle seat, using Loose Screws (but tightening them of course ). (1 for each seat). Take a Car Engine (modified by our Mage to be safe for a motorcycle and to run on alcohol ) and place it in front of the Window Seat. Place Astronaut Life Support Tubes for gas supply to the carburetor. Add a Battery Backup System behind the Engine. Next put 3 x Cask Of Rum (kindly donated by Ertrude and Winton) on the top of the Engine using tools from the Rusty Toolbox. Attach a Rusted Milk Can for an exhaust tying it on using Coiled Rope. Into the carriage place a Snowy Village Bench securing it with more of the rope and attach 2 Seatbelt Belts into position. Find a few Strange 404 Tubes and make one hole in the cap of the Gas Can for one of the hoses. This will serve to siphon out the rum for fuel as it is needed for the bike, and put the other end right onto the carb. Severely Rusted Mutilation Shears for the ends of the wheel hubs for shredding other bikes and cars tires that get too close. Onto the bike screw a Rusted License Plate to make it look legal and Rusted Skitters For Chancellor Megaphone with a inserting into it a Lightning Bug Plushie (for the headlight) closing the aperture with Broken Window Glass. Next at the front of the trike on the left put a Beast Shattered Mirror and on the right place a Broken Ornamented Mirror for rear-view mirrors. Then equip the riders with Rusty Copper Boots, Coal Heavy Duty Gloves, Self Styling Motorcyclist Helmets as well as the 2 riders in the carriage with a Cowboys Dark Gunbelt holding a Gunslingers Revolver and a Four Barrel Ripgun each. This is necessary to ensure a smooth and safe journey for all riders on-board and to deter any highway persons.

Repeat all of the above once more.

With that all achieved it is time to rev the engines and hit the road.

The Midnight Dancers and the Sledge of DOOM

Raw Materials Main Frame [item2=Rotting Planks of Old Wood] [item2=Magically Sealed Door] (wings)[item2=Blue Seaweed-Wrapped Driftwood] (top glass roof)[item2=Flask of Liquid Shadow]

Exterior Embellishments [item2=Moss Covered Cross] [item2=Black Ribbon Tied Rose] [item2=Creation Candlelight]

Interior For the lining [item2=Antique Blonde Arm Chair](Chaise Lounge, Fainting Couch, Parlour Settee, and Side Chair also used)

Light [item2=Old Lantern]

Furniture [item2=Directors Chair] [item2=Hot Lips Sofa] [item2=Pink Fluffy Sofa] [item2=Dark Matter Sofa]

Magical Table items (for the mage to power and steer the glider) [item2=Rainbow Essence] [item2=White Skull Votive Candle] [item2=Broken Lever] [item2=Yellow Magical Nose](Blue and Purple used also)

A coffin, a mage and a near-beheading; How the Midnight Dancers made their glider "I am telling you, that is too small for all of us and our gear and our companions," Lara told Nightshade, glancing at the empty (God she so hoped it had been empty!) that he dragged out of the scrap heap. The Dark Elf scowled with annoyance and the vagabond, ever striving to keep the peace, came up with some consolation. "The shape would be good though, aerodynamic, it is not a bad idea, we will just have to make a bigger one for all of us."

"We could just leave the critters," the warrior grumbled, "maybe the bard can babysit them." It had not been their first argument. There were those who wanted to have a space craft and others who would have preferred an all terrain vehicle but in the end they decided on a glider, powered by their mage, Amaryllis. The mage and Ayla were already scrounging for the magical implements needed to power and steer the craft, leaving the construction of the main body up to the rest. Lara was left in charge since it would be mostly up to her skills to get this done. "All right," she decided to issue some orders, "what we need is some wood- lots of wood, some benches to sit on, a table for Amaryllis to set up her gear, something for the wings and some lights. Oh, and we probably want to enclose the thing so we don't have to eat bugs while we are traveling. Drag it back here and I will see what I can do."

The first to return was Lara, carting a wagon full of which she promptly worked on to make the base of their craft. Nightshade approved of the overall shape when he returned with . When she mentioned a door, he went off and found a . At first Lara was a little worried about using a magic door, but then, it ought to work, Amaryllis could surely handle it!

Kaiidth and Phineas pulled up a , and before the Dark elf could execute the lot of them on principle, Lara sent them off for two more benches, enlisting the aid of the warrior in construction. He got to chop up some wood instead and that helped vent his annoyance with these...people. The ranger and bard brought back a but also, to make Nightshade not headchop, a . That mollified him, somewhat. They also produced a as well as several broken antique items, which they cut up further to use as a lining for their gliding coffin.

Lara worked tirelessly, both in directing the effort and in the actual construction. She'd turn this bunch into a crew if it killed her! And it probably would. Even the companions got into the spirit of things, Howie carrying a few when Kaiidth found a . Katja and Albert sniffed out the location of a few which the large bipedal members of the group had to cart back, finding a box of along the way. Burnsley and Ace were of course off helping their humans.

As the main part of the craft was nearing completion, Ayla and Amaryllis came back with a box of goodies. The mage assisted the vagabond in setting these up, for no one wanted to accidentally turn their coffin-like craft into an actual coffin full of Midnight Dancer corpses. That would not be good. First, they placed the directly in the center of the front console and fastened it down. Then Lara rigged a to a line to help the mage tilt the wings in flight. , and were placed to assist in the direction of the vehicle and the lighting was supplied with . The mage produce a which, with her art, she used to create a shaded shield over the craft. Finally, Amaryllis placed a spell on the door, so that it would open for them but otherwise remain magically sealed.

In the end, all of the Dancers were quite pleased with their creation. Not only did it provide comfort during transport, but it had something for everyone. For Lara, a sleek design; for Nightshade, a dark appeal; for Ayla, room enough for the group, their gear and their companions; for Phineas, a nice comfy couch; for Amaryllis, all the magical items she could shake her staff at; for Kaiidth, a bit of privacy in the back and some added security during their journey. Hopefully, it would all hold together.

Going over the list again they headed toward the back lot and ran into Pugsy, who happily pointed them in the right direction to begin gathering supplies.

Job assignments: Atrueheart (our Companion/Bard) Ship design consultant and interior design. Finishing that she pitched in on the rest of the manual labor. Painted the ships logo on outside ship when completed.

Webby (our Vagabond/Jack of all Trades) In charge of welding, engine building and maintenance. In short all mechanics. (She's our Kaylie)

Jeice (our Ranger): In charge of constructing and trouble shooting the main frame, monitors, controls and components on Bridge. Once all the components were tested, she helped the others by placing the tile flooring and set up the air-tight sliding doors. Double checking the airlocks, she leaves them in the open position for the others and assists Webby in connecting the supercritical cores and nuke gels to the engine for optimized performance.

"Move-it by Armstrong" (Laurie and Jeice) got the majority of the furnishings on-board, and with a team like ours, we had her ready in no time. And here she is, our fully loaded ready to rock Flamefly - the Fallen Angel. Pretty sweet, if we do say so ourselves![/spoiler]

Their task complete, six exhausted, grubby and half starved made their way back to the Gearloose Goose in search of the three S's - Sustenance, shower, sleep.

The elements like the window-ornaments, the railing, the observatory frames will be made out of metal:

The windows have to be wonderful ... we will use . Except for the observatory, where we need to have a clear view and use .

We will make the sails out of and secure it with . We only found this strange device: , but we need some Pulleys, so we can use this and some to be able to handle the sails.

The ruder and the sails need to be made from thicker material than clothing, so we choose:

And to light it all up there will be a lot of hanging.

We all painted the body of the ship in colorful colors with and even our pets helped. ^_^

Well ... the outside is nice already ... let's have a look on the inside. Smiley

There are bunks to use on it, tables and benches made of wood, stuffed with and as cover.

Every cabin has light. This is made possible with a that uses , and (those will light the lanterns on deck, as well).

There is a water supply. The water tank is made out of light metal () and filled with .

At last we added the things that every vehicle should have to be able to navigate and stop: . The weathervane is made out of clothing and some arrows from our warrior.

To be able to fly we used to store magic energy and enable us to fly.

As we stand back to look at our completed ship one more time, we let out a joyous whoop that our efforts resulted in such a magnificent ship. As Gavin continues to tinker further with the ship, Celeste notices Reyna and Dana walking off together--talking about something along the lines of having another drink. Celeste smirks to herself and nudges Amalia to let her know that it looks like she'll be winning their bet. Lizzy and Aodh laugh as Amalia begins to splutter indignantly. All in all a perfect ending for their day and Celeste hopes that they'll have more days together like this as well.

Whovians build a Ship "Well, if you're going to narrate, Kyo, you better help too" Sera looked at the large pile of scrap and assorted parts and handed Kyo canvas bag. "First thing, let's make a piles of the useful items over there. Then Sazi and I can figure out what to do with them. We're going for a Trainquility class ship, so we'll need a lot of stuff. Here's the overall look: the helm is on top of the ship, I'm imagining a cross between The Ebon Hawk and the the Calmness. It would have to be slightly larger than either to hold a both a shuttle and a tie-fighter-like vehicle. Smoosh in the gap in the Ebon Hawk, add a more prominent cockpit, jutting out from the front, add side boosters under the rounded part, make the whole thing bigger to include a bottom level for both engineering, the tie-fighter entrance and cargo. 1st level will include the Cockpit, communications, medical bay, a "ready room". 2nd will include crew quarters and the docking bay for the Bard's shuttle which will serve as her quarters."

The rest just stared at her, with jaws open. "Here, just gather stuff and make what you can. If you need help, come back to me." She pointed at a flat open area and she and Sazi poured over the design. Kyo, Raw and Hane started digging through the junkyard. "Lotsa weapon parts!" shouted Raw, "those should go here." She dropped a bunch of parts. "Hmm, these look familiar." She bashed a couple of metallic parts together, turned it over and whacked it on the side. The item roared to life, shooting a powerful energy punch, and scaring the life out of the others. "Hot Damn! Thought that was a . Better mount that right on top."

"And if we're going to travel together," said Clara delicately, "I think we'll need these" and She sauntered over to Pugsy's crew. "Could any of you nice engineers help us out? I wouldn't want to dirty my lovely dress." She managed to brush off the places that the crew members would definitely want to see dirtied, and they hurried over to help. Soon there was a nice sized pile for weapons, for ship construction, and for useful contents.

Sazi disassembled a broken and used it to repair a . "That should help us out" The little bot followed him to scavenge some more. Soon they found a which the repair bot recognized "boop beep! boop beep! Gla-a-dees!"

"Where...is...cake?" it sputtered, and its hover wings spun fretfully.

Meanwhile, Clara's team of helpers, at Sera's direction had welded together several with and a to make a hull big enough to hold Clara's shuttle on one side and the Victorious Vixen on the other and external access to communications. "Wow. She's young, but manages a team quite well." said Hane to Kyo. "She seems to know something about all the different systems -- that will prove quite useful."

Pointing at the stack of and , Sera says, "oh that's easy, we can put together a few that we'll need to monitor everything." With a twist of her DRM 3.0, a few added the computer and was ready to go. "I even added a and fixed a so we can access controls while we are sitting down for dinner! And here you go," Sera hands out a to each of the Whovians, "so we can all communicate with each other" "What's that for" asked Kyo, pointing at a painted in red paint from the collection. "Oh, I don't know yet, I just remember seeing that all control panels need a big flashy red button."

Meanwhile, Hane and Kyo work on the medical bay. "Never know when someone might get hurt. Since none of us are doctors, this will help with some basic diagnosis. And worst comes to worst, this will be a comfy place to sleep. To add a spot of color, Hane fixed a row of to the wall, painting a team member's name on each.

They walked up to the bridge to meet up with everyone and do a final once over. "Guess since I found this that makes me the Chief Engineer." says Sazi. There's some loud banging and the starboard entry door pops open. Raw pops her head in and grins. "Now press that red button, hehehe." A tight rainbow beam shoots from the right side of the ship. ", gotta love it. " They exit the ship and admire the sleek cream and gold color scheme. "No one would call it subtle, Hane looks around. "but guess we got ourselves a ship. What should we call it?"

Champagne was passed around because none of them would waste wine on a ship. Clara gave a secret smile. "The Cumberbatch."

"To the Cumberbatch!"
