We were actually going to post on that thread today (like I'm talking with Ariel about it right now haha)! We've been discussing (more like debating) a few changes about how we want to work the new shop to come (using the suggestions from people).
We are going to have the shops closed down soon so that we can also provide information on the changes people can expect! :)
We've combed over the thread a lot because there are some great suggestions on it and it's changed a lot of what we originally planned to do with the shop (which means changing a lot of the code Keith had done originally for it haha). With the changes, it's kind of made us rethink how much sP each point should be worth for when we take people's last points away and give them sP.
But yeah, Ariel or I will post on that thread today with some of our plans/goals/hopes/dreams/etc for the shop and what not. :)
You should thank Amber because I was gonna YOLO y'all (not really but kind of really?). I think this system is going to be a great compromise and the pricing actually worked out really well I was shocked SHOCKED that can count. Leaving it open for now because we want to do the sP payout as it closes so it doesn't leave anyone all WHERE MY POINTS AT?
I just answered that.
We wanted to have the point conversion sorted out at the time of closing so that we can pay it out right then and there. We're finalizing that right now :)
The point of the news post was to gather feedback and suggestions, which we were able to utilize :)
Honestly, we went in with a solid plan for collections but the feedback was basically "we really don't like this" and people provided suggestions which meant we had to discuss if we wanted to stick with our plan or take in those suggestions and make a good thing for all of us. I'm really happy with our overall compromise on this, we'll still have direct-to-collection but we figured out a way to get wearables/weapons/minions out without account-binding. When we decided to change the way the shop was set up, it meant figuring we had to change how much sP we would be reimbursing people (because we decided against the flat rate for items that we originally had set up). We all (battle admins, ariel and I, programmers, etc) finally agreed on a point to sP number (which means we can release old weapons too yay).
We weren't looking for feedback :) We posted our concept and intended to go forward with that, and had a fair bit of it written. We got a lot of feedback on that thread which made us change the focus of the feature (which required a lot of rewriting and there is still additional code to do) and pushed back our internal date of giving out sP for points by a bit.
So yes, we should have updated the original timeline but I'm glad things worked out this way, for everyone :)

We weren&;t looking for feedback :)
Um...
Surely you can see what caused me to think and say what I did. I did not think you guys were looking for feedback, until a member of your staff said that you were. ;)
You can read the original post still, it explains that we had plans and were looking for feedback for the rest of it. We got feedback (for both actually) and found a solution for everything :)
