New Beginnings RP

Cream sat cross legged with a sullen look on her face as she quietly muttered about frankincense and coal dust,This was where she had been for nearly all of the past year..In a back room of the offtime saloon with ingredients and papyrus pieces surrounding her. The first adventure had taught her that you should always be prepared and in this case she still felt a sense of unease despite being prepared to the best of her ability,This was a feeling she wasn't familiar with and it troubled her. Scratching her chin thoughtfully she briefly wondered if any of her former team mates wondered where she had gone when she failed to show for the second adventure,Sure she had heard about what she missed out on from squirrely but felt that she was right in staying there and working on scrolls and various spells for future endeavors.

She mused quietly to herself for a while and would have continued doing so if her trusty companion hadn't chose that exact moment to scamper in with a paper in it's mouth,Gingerly she plucked the drool covered paper from his teeth and set about reading it "You have been summoned by the high seelie court to join a group as captain to assist with tasks that cannot be revealed at this time,Please make your preparations and prepare to board the frenchman with your newly appointed team at the time and location you see specified below."

Bloody hell she shouted while waving her arms and this in turn frightened her companion to the point of leaving little pellets on the floor...

Was she ready? Could she really go on this adventure? She didn't have much choice of course since this was the seelie high court after all and she had seen what happened to the last person who had the gall to mock them,A thought that would stick with her for the rest of her life as alas even magic couldn't undo that sort of imagery. Seelies are always nice unless you do something to cross them and mockery is the highest form of insult,Bearing that in mind she grabbed her magic satchel and began to quickly gather her supplies for the journey that lay ahead. There would be all sorts of unforeseen circumstances no doubt and she certainly couldn't let her new team mates down so she would need to be extra careful about not leaving anything behind that could possibly assist them in a time of need.

After 4 more checks of her satchel and with a final look around the room she opened the door and strode through the saloon and out into the nearby forest. She was curious to meet her new team mates and wondered about how she should find them...Suddenly it dawned on her,A spell of course! I've just the thing for this she said to herself while pulling some papyrus,oil of the snapdragon,and honeysuckle root from her satchel. Carefully she bent down and stretched out the papyrus then began drawing symbols on it with a mixture of the root and snapdragon oil,A few moments later she was finished and began the location chant "Abahdedoo abahdezee,Show the locations of these four to me!" A small flame erupted from the papyrus and began tracing a line to the location of her team mates,This time there were no issues with her magical workings and for that she was pleased indeed.

"No time to waste,Must make haste" her companion chittered from inside her satchel... He was right it was time to go so off they went towards the forest.

A short time later after stumbling through a lot of brambles and mud they came upon the first of their team mates,The lovely Kayara. Cream gazed upon the lovely Kayara and her beautiful fox companion Keniera with great interest.

Kayara was playing with her bow, while she was walking down the forest. In the meantime Keniera was sniffing peacefully around different plants. After 10 minutes Kayara saw her favorite spot to sit, the sun shone nicely trough the twigs of the trees and it gave enough cover to sleep peacefully on the ground. Keniera stopped sniffing and came close to Kayara, to sleep with her as well.

Cream walked towards the pair and gently shook Kayara on the shoulder,I'm sorry to wake you my friend,Did you receive the letter about the adventure? Kayara shook her head slightly to indicate she had indeed received the letter but she seemed to be in no hurry to get up from her spot on the forest floor. Kayara looked up at Cream and asked "Are you one of my team mates?" Chuckling a bit she replied,Well I've been appointed the captain of the group by the seelie high court so I am a team member and more.

Kayara was intrigued by this information and began to rise to her feet,Slowly she stretched herself out on the way up. She glanced at cream and said shall we go then? Cream nodded and pointed to the next spot on the map,"This is where we need to go to find our next team member" Kayara knew the area well so she led Cream through the forest and to a nearby town with a series of brick buildings that sported a shoddily paved road outside them.

There in the middle of the road tapping her foot to a beat unheard by anyone else was Fuschia. Fuschia wiggled her metal fingers along the back of her spotted rat's back, the receptors translating his softness to her brain. Nugget was holding the pointed tip of her ear, his long tail hanging down her shoulder. She was holding a datapad in her free hand, using her thumb to scroll the itinerary as she read. Her hair matched her name today, the way she liked it best. The Halfie prefered to be in Bordertown above all other places, she'd never say this to anyone but Nugget, but being too close to one side of the other of her heritages made her feel out of place. Clunky boot tapping as she listened to music from somewhere nearby. The creature rather liked to be in motion.

Kayara cleared her throat and tapped a stick on the ground to get fuschia's attention,Fuschia was startled by the sudden noise and jumped a little sending her companion nugget sliding down her arm and onto her boot. "Ummm can I help you?" she asked as she continuing noting things on her datapad. Cream nodded and began to explain the reason for their presence there and slowly fuschia's face lit up with understanding then she clapped her hands together in excitement and ran up to give each of them small air kisses on the cheek. Kayara and Cream both gave fuschia a hug and welcomed her to the group. Kayara hated to break up the celebration but knew it was time for the three of them to go and continue finding the others,Cream and fuschia gathered up their things and followed Kayara out of the city and back into the forest towards the crossroads.

Upon reaching the crossroads they discovered the last of their team mates waiting on a rock,However they seemed to be concealed by a fog that had begun to roll in,Fuschia called to them asking if they were waiting for their team...They replied that indeed they were,Kayara excitedly announced that they need no longer wait because their team had arrived at last. The two remaining members jumped up and eagerly ran through the fog to the group so that they could visit with one another while waiting for the frenchman.

Cream glanced around at the people surrounding her and a satisfied smile spread across her face,This was a time of new beginnings and she felt right at home with her new friends. She couldn't wait to see what lay ahead for them.
