I actually have the opposite problem with Cursed Quests, very rarely do I get asked for overpriced stuff or elixirs. Barring those two, the sP rewards are amazing
313,000 sp and 287,000 worth of items tonight :( Pretty much the same as yesterday
I know anecdotal "evidence" doesn't really count for much, but that's all we have to go on when it comes to quests. I just did Maleria's quests, which is actually something I usually actively avoid. My profit was just over 248k in sP, 370k in items, and two quest points. I only had 3 quests that were under 20k in sP reward, and only one of those was under 10k. Though I had 3 quests of the 15 that were over my normal sP limit for quests and I ordinarily would have quit them, for the sake of the experiment, I boldly pressed on. Of those 3, two were in the 28k range and one was about 56k (multiple high priced items). The only one of those three that didn't reward pure sP above the expense was one of the 28k quests, where my reward was 26k and an item worth about 109k.
I don't think they're broken. I hate Maleria's quests as it is because my quest luck is usually terrible and I end up getting 6 or 7 quests over 25k, but that's because I'm a cheapskate. I don't see how this reward is inappropriate, compared to only completing a fraction of the quests during the week and getting much less.
a 40 000 SP return on each quest is a good return. what are you expecting, exactly?

that is how much I made in sP and items. Not how much I spent. That's about average with what I make with her if not worse. It's supposed to be more since it's a weekend quest
Then again, weekday quests should be lower, because nobody wins from having more SP in the economy with no way of taking it out.
GIVE MORE SP is not a viable solution, now. Because having more SP means everything else that is not SP can sell for more because well, there is more SP in the economy that can be used to buy things, so why not make prices higher.
