Really though...I have no clue of the amount of effort and time (and a few bajillion SP) goes into putting on this event...but we should have fun with it which I believe was the whole idea in the first place.

I see the scales and we Fallen Angels are probably banged up pretty good. Lucky for us that you've figured out a way for us to get out of it. Even with the drama, stress and dealing with whiners this is still the best game in town and has been for the past three years. You talked me into this three years ago and I've been thankful ever since. Even though my rl is in great upheaval at this point in time I always know that I can show up at the Wayward Squirrel and always have your wonderful self to greet me.... not to mention that sexy Squirrely at the offtime saloon! Hubba hubba! In the immortal words of Taylor Swift "Shake it off" sweetie. I know it's hard when rl is kicking our butts but hang in there girl. The Fallen Angels adore you and always have! Wow! Thanks to all of you for the support and caring! It's much appreciated, and please believe me that I NEVER want to do anything but hug for remarks like these.

Also, it's very few of you that snark, and less that snark repeatedly or use me for a punching bag/venting post, and I do realize real life can get to all of us, so I do have tolerance. However, this round of the adventure seems seems to have made me more of a venting target, so I just feel the need to cover my butt every time I post, but I may need to let some of that go. One more: Reaver and Stone Cold Rogues, I don't get how you have faerie vehicles?? You were scored on Firefly type crafts for Chapter 3 and you didn't correct it. You have either a spaceship (in fact, a sleek and ideal one) or a floating turtle that could not possibly have ever entered the Seelie forest. Turtles are not gliders or chariots--they are Pratchett tributes. You waited two chapters to dispute the classifications. I need more coffee but that's not making sense. Help me out, please!

I have to say, I honestly haven't been following the event this year, and I feel a little like a jerk for not, I'm useless as a helper when asked. I've been busy with my new job and I drive nearly an hour each way 5 days a week after my 9 hours a day, so when I do get home, I'm not in any type of mood to read anything. I have no idea whats going on in the event, where any teams stand, what happened to get people so riled up or anything. But I will say this, GreenRowan spends all her time during the vent getting pelted with sMails, comments and pings. Answering questions as best she can. She plans the story, but can't plan for human err. She has a team of people who judge all the rP's, puzzle answers and HA contests so she isn't "picking favorites". And when the event ISN'T going on, she's planning the next one. She is an extremely kind soul who understands that life isn't always fair and sometimes things get in the way of the "game". Last year in the middle of the event, I ended up having to step back from playing due to my insane work load and little free time. She understood and even found a way to keep my character in the story and let me chime in when I found time. I felt guilty about accepting prizes at the end of the event but was pretty much forced to accept them from my teammates as well as Rowan, lol.

I'm not here to harp on anyone, I just want to point out, its not easy coming up with all this, keeping up with 50+ users, and dealing with the onslaught of craziness, she's the Superest Trooper of them all! She deserves ALL the gold stars!

Trust me, the first year, smails barely worked and we got hit with a surprise site event just after getting started that caused the site some not so great downtime. She dealt with it all with a smile on her face (I'm sure not all the time, but still).

Not sure what has happened and why you don't know that Reaver is in a fantasy ship, but I looked up the post from Taters:

"Not sure if we said which ship classification we were in either. I totally forgot to, we were fantasy ;)" It's a post on the team points and standings page from 06/15/15 in which Taters pings you to tell you we have a fantasy ship to clarify things as some teams were asked to do back then.

We had made a glider/floating turtle ship thing and we had also picked a team number to go with the damage part for our vehicle (which you also added to the post on the first page I noticed just now)

I just like sea creatures xD And turtle tank makes me smile. Plus as rox said I pinged you about what type we were during /right after that chapter. But I totally understand it could have been missed. Im sure you get a ton of pings. (i have trouble getting like 5 a day so I cant imagine lol)

Okay, we have a problem to solve here, to be heretofore known as the "Two-Turtle Dilemma." I suspect it may engrave itself in the WS Annals of OMG, Really? (A best seller with hobbits of all ages.)

Once Chapter 3 closed and everyone was in, those ships were copied and posted in the judging location. While it seems I did hear from Reaver and missed the ping, I never heard anything from Rogues, and went ahead with what seemed obvious: that these were spacecrafts and quite possibly tributes to Terry Pratchett and Discworld. I truly can't wrap my mind around these as gliders or coaches, and the judges saw them as spacecraft as well, but no matter in that aspect, as you were both given full vessel credit.

I will gladly place both your teams on the Faerie Vessel list, but, in that case, here's what would have happened to you at the start of Chapter 5:

Your ships would both have been melted to piles of scrap by Termina as they were primarily metal, which could not go into Seelie lands, and also neither could maneuver through thick forest with wings and sails. Even Catnip Thieves, in their very tiny pirate ship was at an extreme disadvantage, let alone anything as bulky as those turtles. Your vessels would both have been remade by Termina's last spell into crystal coaches pulled by turtles.

However, since it was just an error on both sides, the RP you turned in for Chapter 5 stays as it is, and will be judged on those merits.

So now, both of your teams have a choice to make, since part, if not most, of the error seems to fall in my direction.

You may:

1. Stay as a Faerie vehicle, take only vessel damage, if any, and all is well, but you will currently have the gliders Termina allowed you. In that case, you can remodel or rebuild parts of your ship as necessary, but you will be in Trainquility Class Flickers for the last battle (similar to tie-fighters.)

2. Become spacecraft, in which case you may remodel a bit to accomodate such things as any open deck and maybe add boosters, but your structure as given will be kept, as it's just fine for that purpose. If you make this choice, you will have to check the individual damage scale and go with that.

Please let me know which option you want, and I'll make sure you are placed correctly.
