I should have told him Channing would be his reward for doing all the work while the rest of us played. Gives good incentive to him. Seriously WHY is it not July yet?!? And WHY has there not been another preview for that movie?!?
I need more previews for that - and also for it to just come out already haha.
Yes it just needs to be July .... OR early release. That could be wrong. LOL
Hahahaha yesssss. Early release sounds great...at least in terms of the movie :P
Yes it does. They tease us with one little trailer and nothing more EVIL!!!!
Pinkie Pie is the best at being the perfect gif for all situations. So versatile!

Oh ahahha. I think I missed something in the conversation :P
Synopsis of WS2 on first page for those who want to know and/or relive. Descriptions of your requests for The Seelie and Unseelie Courts, Urban Fantasy as a genre, Firefly, the Border between human and Faerie will be up soon.
Please let me know if you need anything else answered in terms of NPCs or overall adventure setting!
Just don't confuse Urban Fantasy with Magic Realism set in the present (or future). ^.~

I'll try to hold on to the distinction if I possibly can. If not, I'm sure you'll correct me. ;)
I'm teasing! The line is really fuzzy. Basically, it depends on whether the magic is considered "everyday" or "special".

I don't think anyone is going to alter their world views based on the Wayward Squirrel. excpet maybe Nutsy--certainly not Francine.
Best article I've read on this subject is HERE. It does a good job of pointing out how misused this term really is.
Hm, that's not what my understanding of it was. I mean, that may be how it started out, but what it generally means today can include speculative works, and the distinction is more how magic is treated. I don't completely know the definition of escapist writing, so I'm leaving that part alone.

Personally I hate the name of Magical Realism, it sounds boring. But I like the idea of it better than Urban Fantasy, since it gets annoying when every book you read is like "omg, faeries/vampires/werewolves/etc are REAL?!" Its like "Yes, please continue with the story."
Okay, thank you for the input. Since I'm seeing a veer here where we could end up in endless debate over conflicting definitions, I'm going to need to structure the help for the questions asked by the folks who are actually playing this one in the world of WS and are a bit confused.
Semantic discussion are a favorite at Squirrely's, preferably with a good acorn wine. 😉
Yes, that article is precisely what I'm thinking of. I bookmarked it when I came across it a while back. ^.^
Though with Urban Fantasy in particular, I think there is also a version where vampires /do/ surprise people who are not in the know. A Masquerade may be in place, with a magical underworld intersecting closely with the mundane "normal" one.

You know that (Silver Legends) are just gonna do our own thing. Why set these rules? LOL
I say just have fun and enjoy the whole thing. Go teams. :)
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

Have there always been rules and guidelines on these adventures? lol
