It's going to be June soon. I can't believe this.
I don't understand why, with Subeta's record of letting things get forgotten so easily they thought putting specifics on the banner was a good idea.

Pretty much this. I hope we see the promised banner soon, and I also hope it's non specific.
Update:
There's been behind-the-scenes issues with the new banner, and we've now decided to go in another direction with the Cash Shop creatively, as we agree it could do with some changes. I've updated the current banner to remove the old date in the mean time.
Progress on Subeta, takes about 5 months, but it'll happen. Well done.
Don't spend too much time on the banner. It's not making you any money, so it doesn't need to be a masterpiece. :P

These sorts of delays are inexcusable, guys. Subeta is a company, isn't it? Would you forgive your grocery store for telling you to buy your Thanksgiving Turkey 6 months AFTER Thanksgiving? Halloween candy at Easter? No? Then why in the hell should we sit here going, "Wait... December? Its May!"
This is exactly why I have little to no faith in how Subeta is run. :/

The biggest issue I have with the cash shop at this moment is that when I hover over any of my tabs (persona/l/commerce/etc) I can't click anything because it goes behind the border. Its been like this since the Cash Shop was last updated.
Although I must admit it really is baffling to me how changing a simple banner makes further problems. I know I'm not a programmer, believe me I know, but still. It shouldn't be this much of a hassle.

Even with going in a new direction, it would have made sense to at least pull the stupid banner, until that 'new direction' can be figured out.

(no longer an issue for me because thank you, custom css. I stg if custom css is ever scraped from this site, I'm probably peacing out, because it fixes the things that never get fixed otherwise)
While I agree it's silly to have a banner be that outdated for so long... I can't help but wonder if some people in life live under a rock? If so, I'd like some brochures please, because the top side is getting rather old.
Like really, has anyone dealt with any company irl? Like, ever? It can take years to get results from a car wreck (I've been waiting 2+ years for my $500 deductible back :'D.. better than no car for that long, but alas), and getting just about any company to not only admit they're in the wrong but also fix something is like pulling your own teeth with a butter knife without a mirror.
I get the banner is outdated, but some of the reactions here over a fucking image (Not to mention the shitstarting on tumblr about how Rah is a terrible person and employee because of this and should be fired and also Keith is a pos for hiring her)... yeah. Yeah.
Yes, but subeta is not an insurance company... An image is not as complicated nor SHOULD IT BE as complicated as a car wreck. At least I would hope not. That's the whole point of this really - something that took another user two minutes cannot be done by staff because .. why exactly? Yes, the image didn't take priority, but it still represented the website in some way and more importantly, it was a SIMPLE fix (seriously two freaking minutes? it took months to find two minutes?? That should be unacceptable and it should be met with concern to show that hey, this is not appropriate behavior no matter if other companies like insurance ones pull out the dreaded bureaucratic red tape, because subeta is not as complex as them. Moreover, I don't know how ANYTHING gets done around here if they can't squeeze literally two minutes into their busy schedules).
If this is how staff works on prioritizing and fixing problems, then yes, people have every right to be concerned. The delayed response looks sloppy and lazy and unlike that insurance company... I don't have to stick around for years on end hoping for results from a car wreck for a deductible back, because subeta obviously doesn't owe me anything. If the posts on here look exaggerated, it's only because this image is symbolic of other things that need to be fixed on subeta.
But a simple banner isn't some site-crashing, 'life is over how will Subeta ever function?' problem and it does seem like it was prioritized far behind other more important things they've been working on. I'm with and other commenters, yeah it was outdated but man some of you guys are relentless over such minor things. Fire the staff over a banner? More like some people probably need to take some deep breaths and relax. Did a "little annoyance" just get blown out of proportion? Why, yes, yes it did.
Sometimes I wonder if a handful of certain users search the site for minor things just to nitpick over. I'm with some with fixing wardrobe and things that actually affect site functions, but this? wow.
Oh how amusing it is to me that some users will defend staff to no end.
No, this isn't something that should be made a priority. But just because something isn't a top priority does not mean it should not be handled in an appropriate timeframe, and frankly 5 months to get something that took non-staffers under 5 minutes to fix is a joke. The fact that anyone wants to defend the inaction of staff (coupled with "forgetting" that she had not yet posted here) is hilarious.
Just because something is not a "top priority" that does not make it something that should be flat out ignored for months. This forum is here for a reason. Staff should pay attention to what is being said here.
Users should not have to make threads and "blow things out of proportion" just to get staff to fix their mistake. Then again, it's been shown time and time again that it works, so can you really blame users for doing what staff has shown them needs to be done to get them off their collectives asses? Does anyone think this would have been handled, had a thread not been made and repeatedly posted on for over a month?
And really? You want to try to compare dealing with Subeta.net to a REAL company? You REALLY want to go there? A REAL company would NOT be able to advertise something that they were not selling for months without similar backlash if not legal proceedings.
I hear the phrase 'it took non-staffers less than 5 minutes to do'
perhaps it's because they aren't working on ANYTHING ELSE RELEVANT TO THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SITE? AT ALL?
lol
Can you honestly say blowing (minor, non-site threatening) things out of proportion "works" if it still took them 5 months to fix?
You can't be serious, right? Trimming an existing image down a few pixels isn't rocket science. Multi-tasking shouldn't be this difficult. :s
You can't tell me staff works on functionality fixes 100% of the time. Not every staffer is responsible for that. Art department for example... someone from art trims it down, hands it over to someone who has access to the page. They update it. It's called team work. It's not a far-fetched concept now, is it?
The creative department doesn't deal with "site functionality", they deal with site aesthetics.
you're right, I referenced site functionality and actually mean the badass new foods and pets and wearables they've been giving us lately which is by far more important than a little outdated banner that 9/10 people don't pay attention to anyways
It's fixed, I'm glad (not that I cared or looked at it anyways, it didn't bother me regardless) but some of the reactions on SS here are a little over the top
