I'm using the latest chrome browser and no adblock, if this helps. Took forever to get a new event for a duel =).

I got sent to the same url. Other users told me to try a different address which they gave me and it's still blank pages and nothing happens. I'm using Safari. And it does take forever to get an event. Maybe 1:100?

EDIT: You've earned the Dirty Dancer achievement! (just noticed now -- I think the alert was way late again) ??? Whales Talking Friends?

Never saw anything but blank pages…

For what it's worth, I used this page & then just tried changing the last number to a 2 or 3 a few times: http://subeta.net/explore/masquerade.php?act=duel&choice=1 I think you can only get to the page if you've gotten the event, so you won't be able to try it until you get the event again.

i just tried the workaround method (find the links in source code and go from there) but the links STILL brought me to nothing but blank pages. i've got no hope of getting either of these until the event is fixed :/

I was able to get both achievements in chrome with the workaround viewing page source, but you have to repeat the process when you get more blank pages, as you play the game more than one turn with him, which can get kind of tedious.

The workaround doesn't seem to work in firefox? I tried clicking the links in the source there but it didn't seem to do anything. I tried getting the event there thinking that maybe I'd stop getting blank pages but unfortunately that wasn't the case.

But yeah, the method I mentioned or the one & suggested (theirs is the much easier one) are both useful if you're after the achievements.

The workaround method did work twice in the latest version of firefox for me, though my pages were still blank the entire time. I hope it works for other people too. It would absolutely suck to miss out on something through a glitch/bug. I've also include which choices are which weapons in the op in case there is a method people want to try to use to beat him :)

finally got the event again and clicked to duel which lead me to the infamous blank page, aw. so, the blank page is still going on. using chrome if that matters anything.

Blank pages for me too. I am really sad I cant enjoy this portion of the event before I go away for the weekend :/

Thanks to , I no longer have a blank page. I removed the code to remove the advert in the sidebar and now it works!

.ui.segment.basic <-- must be removed if you're using it in your css.

Oh I am glad, I didnt want to post on here until someone else checked it out first.

I haven't tested it, as I seriously hate that side-bar ad and adblock doesn't block it fully, but if that's really what's causing the issue I think I'll just continue with blank pages lol.

Mine is removed and the advert has recently disappeared too.

Well, I can see the images, but I'm still getting the advertisement. I think you aren't seeing the advertisement box because you have a Gold Account at the moment.

Oh yes duh I just activated it after weeks without, sorry, can you adblock some of the advert?

The advertisement doesn't actually appear, but what does is a giant box that says "advertisement" and unfortunately the only way I've found to get rid of it is with that css code. Should've figured it was something in everyone's custom css causing it, but either way at least we know what's going on now so thank you for that.

Yes that is what I had too, and you can bet the code is going back on as soon as the event is over. It's a shame the duel page is linked to an advert. Hope you can catch up now.

I have had the sidebar advert block hidden with custom css but I actually have had no issue dueling. o_o So... what

You have a gold account I just added it back in, seems to only affect non G/A users

I'm also still experiencing this issue. I got both achievements with the workarounds, but I'm not inclined to duel any more with this bug.
