I love your stained glass idea, but when I picture a glass pet I picture something like the glass pebbles you can find at a craft store pressed into a clay or plaster base. It would be based more around sphere/cabochon forms to differentiate it from Glacier colors, and the colors would be more muted to differentiate from spectrum or blacklight
