Morning!
SPOILER (click to toggle)
tbh i might be going to bed real soon bc i haven't really been doing great today, tho i will remain on mobile for our smail discussion, if thats okay. /sweats
After a while of giving dorian the cue to watch over Quilahn, he'd expect dorian to automatically do so after Mahanon leaves quil's side, and that is what dorian does, which adds to Mahanon's respect for him. Mahanon would be particularly good at skipping around Quil's hexes, definitely used to them being on the ground and knows what happens after he does step in them, assuming he'd accidentally tripped them when they were younger. To which Quil would have to stay with him until the hexes wore off, and mahanon swears he'll never make those mistakes again, heh.
Mahanon would personally get dagna to craft either the master/superb (depending on level they are) corrupting or demon slaying runes to the staff he gives to Quil, to protect him during rift sealing and tougher quests, with lots of enemies involved. Plus, he thinks it fits Quil pretty well, considering the kind of magic he has. He'd smile at Dorian and Quil reading together, loving that dorian is taking time to talk about these spells and teaching them to quil, even if he himself is a lil freaked out over raising the dead n all.
Perhaps, even if he dislikes the weak taste of the ale/wine/booze, he'll do it to keep Quilahn happy and relaxed. I'd imagine they'd carry canisters of clean water, to the western approach and places with no fresh water in sight, but he'd be glad to drink watered wine over water itself any day. Yeah, especially if Mahanon enjoys spending time with bull and the chargers, perhaps quil and dorian would join them, seeing as their intake of actual alcohol is being monitored, that way they can get a bit of a fix in before they switch to water, as per requested. Mahanon would idly sip at the water, only to shrug it off and make out with Bull instead. (at least bull's mouth tastes like alcohol, so thats cheating B()
Mahanon, being better with tradespeak than Quilahn would be, he could quietly explain what they're saying with what he can translate into dalish. If Mahanon was with them during that quest, he'd pick the flirting option, which is the "i've done more than hear of being with men" knda text, bc i absolutely love how dorian responds to it, but would let Quil take over the rest of their conversation. sorry i seemed to of rushed this, my dad told me to hurry to bed so yeh ;v;..
As for prompts, i'd like to see their little talk post-"learning of the alcoholism problem"-fight perhaps?
SPOILER (click to toggle)
That's totally understandable, it's probably super late there anyway! Your health is more important than babbling, and staying too long on computer never does any good for anyone!)
It takes some time for Quilahn to get used to Dorian's cues, since they are slightly different from Mahanons, but eventually they'll learn to read each other. "To your left!" "How far?" "More left!""[heavy dalish swearing at Dorian]" Needless to say, they later bicker about not being perfectly in synch immediately, to everyone else's amusement/annoyance. Quilahn deals with spirits quite often as well, so sometimes he's got a couple of wisps with him - usually he only does this when they're near rifts, because he doesn't want to summon them against their will. He's actually got pretty similar views on blood magic and spirits as Merrill does, but he himself hasn't tried blood spells .... yet. (I'm kind of tempted to make him a blood mage because it would align pretty well with his entropy magic and constant need to learn more, but knowing that it's a taboo even within the Dalish and he knows Dorian would severely disagree, he'd try to keep it secret for as long as possible.)
Quil's hexes are always really jarring and unnerving, he has a knack for creating hallucinations equal to horror movie jumpscares, or just otherwise making people think they're going to die a horrible violent death. He'd be so sorry for making Mahanon (or whoever steps near to him when he's got himself protected) experience any of the terrors he creates. He probably carries a flask of some soothing tonic or tea just to counter the effects of those spells, and gently holds Mahanon until he's calmed down.
The Western Approach definitely requires some extra water supplies, yeah.. With a mage in the party, it probably doesn't take too long to sufficiently boil the water to make sure it's drinkable and no one gets ill. It takes some time to Quilahn to realize that Mahanon tends to kiss Bull a lot especially after he's had a decent swig of his pint/bottle, but he does eventually catch on. Later he asks to have a word with Bull, and he mentions that he's worried about his brother's alcohol usage. Asks if Bull could look after him a bit, since Mahanon listens to him.
Oh, Mahanon. I actually chose the dialogue in my gameplay as well, since I didn't want to reuse the same options I used with my Cadash, but I doubt Quil would actually have the guts to say that in a full tavern, and idk yet just how experienced he even is, lol.
Idk should we start a snippet / OOC thread (or legit RP) on the RP forums maybe? Just to keep the Nerdquisition from getting too cluttered :') I'll try and get something written down soon, I just need to get my con prints ordered first because I've been putting it off for too long already.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I really like the idea of Old Gods taking different forms (the same as the elven pantheon, and since we KNOW Flemeth can turn into a dragon and is also Mythal's vessel..)
Since eventually Urthemiel begins to understand aspects of humanity, does the exchange ever go the other direction? How does it affect Milan? OH, and does he meet with Morrigan again? I'm curious to know how she'd feel if her plot was essentially successful and the archdemon survives, even if it's not in the body of her child.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Milan starts to realize that the gods in ther untainted form also have somhow feelings, motivations.. and are more than the destructive forces they ara when tainted into archdemons. He also slowly starts to understand that Urthemiel feels responsible for the mortals and actually wants to help.
He learns that a lot of lore that tells about the gods are not true and that there is a lot more behind all that.
Yes he will meet Morrigan again.. but it will take about 10 years. Morrigan really feels guilty when she finaly understands what she has lost and she is affraid of meeting Milan.. so she avoids him and he does the same cause he is the opinion that Morrigan only used him and never really loved him. Nontheless Milan can't stop to love her and she actually does too still love him ^^. She gets to know that Milan survived so but she doesn't know know why unless Milan tells her.. when they meet again. Also Morrigan never becomes pregnant in my little world ^^.
But Morrigan will not admit it at first, that she still loves Milan.. Milan in contrary will not hide his feelings.. The first time Morrigan will admit her love is, when Milan decides to sacrifice himself to bring Urthemiel back in a living form.. (he will simply leave a letter for her, cause he can't bring himself to tell her).. she will follow him.. to stop him but will be to late.. she will meet the good in human form.. Milan allready dead.. Urthemiel touched by the her honest feelings and cause he was s long part of Milan decides to give Milan his live back sacrificing a part of himself..so Milan and Urthemiel are connected from now on (so if something happens to the god Milan will suffer the same and vice versa).

I've been writing and watching Orange is the new black. I'm dog sitting until Monday. I don't think ive touched inquisition since last week between working two jobs and writing while I'm actually awake. Probably going to play a ton when I get home Monday night. Hopefully I'll have Georgie's profile story done, Alleria's story and background, and possibly Cullen.'s as well. I'll be impressed with myself if I can bang out three pet stories before September 1st. nn@colenI haven't purchased descent yet. Waiting until payday. I actually haven't played jaws of hakkon yet but I have it installed. Im still working on Georgie's playthrough, I went back to a save before the end game point so that I can level her and actually give her the knight enchanter specialization. I can't find the damn wisp essences for the blade and I'm level 18... I've got a bunch of side stuff left so I won't be playing descent right away. Plus I hate the deep roads. Like more than Anders and Varric's hatred combined.
The Descent is high level with some challenging mobs. I recommend Jaws of Hakkon first. Going in with tier 4 gear made it much better. If you need any help, just ask. c: I remember those silly wisps being a pain.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Oooh damn, Mahanon wouldn't particularly like the idea of Quilahn using blood magic, feeling as if he's steeping over the line just a little too much, i mean, even he'd admit to being a little freaked out by Quil's distrubing sort of magic (having experience with it, ofc) and he knows the extremities of blood magic as well, and hes actually quite, scared over Quil even suggesting it, fearing that demons would take over and make Quil an abomination. He trusts Quil, and all, but this idea will cause commotion after a while of Mahanon hiding the fear, possibly drinking to ease the thought, without telling quil about it. (bull and tally watch over his drinking ofc) The idea of quil actually using blood magic, causes him to panic internally and fidget over discussions about blood magic with dorian and advisors, probably hawke too, but never reveals that quil might start it, bc he has no idea what they'd do when they find out and creators, he's so scared and worried about quil. He doesnt want to fight about it tho, but he doesn't know how to confront how he feels about it to quil. which is why, he simply drinks it off. And it hurts.
Mahanon's pretty sure he has subtle nightmares similar to the terrors from quil's hexes, very rarely but he remembers what it was like, but he never tells quil about it, bc he thinks it would make quil feel guilty, but mahanon knows it was his own fault, but by now he'd be kinda used to it, and he'd simply shrug off if he woke up through the night, remembering he's with bull and hes safe from such terrors. Mahanon would calm down after being held gently, perhaps with quil stroking his hair and whispering dalish songs and stories, if he ever needs to be soothed again.
Hah, i'd imagine Mahanon would be quite disappointed that bull stops kissing him after they've been drinking, bull would kiss the top of his head and say "Sorry kadan, but you've had enough alcohol today. i promise to reward ya later, if you behave." and with that promise, he behaves, after a subtle glare in quil's direction. But it feels nice that bull and quil cares, so hes all good with drinking water, for now.
Mahanon likes flirting with Dorian occassionally, and they both flirt to eachother mainly bc they're actual best friends, and its fun to feed dorian's ego. only to crush it after. Like the evil lil assassin he is.
Okay! And if you want to start a thread like that, im all for it. (im kinda interested in actual rping tho, but i havent rped properly in like, 2 years, so i'd be quuuuuite rusty at it) And i feel better tonight, last night i was kinda mentally flipping out and my chest and head hurt bc of it, but im fine now.
Finally decided to dress as the character I share a name with... plus, we are in the middle of a ghostly type event.
your HA is adorable - And this event seems certainly very fitting for Cole...
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Mahanon disliking Quil using blood magic is making me ever more tempted to make it happen, gotta love me some conflict and dramamonsters. I've never actually had a blood mage character before, hmm. It's a shame it wasn't even an option in Inquisition though, I mean, the plot could have been so much more intense if the Herald of Andraste was in fact a blood mage. :')
Ouch, I really like the idea of Mahanon having nightmares / night terrors from Quil's hexes, poor dude.
I've actually never created threads there before, so I'm not entirely sure if I should first create a thread for planning the RP or if I should just create a thread on the main. We'd need to decide on a setting and the exact starting point of the story though, and have it be an open RP. Idk how exactly to make that work since everyone's characters are usually Inquisitors in their canon, and there's the whole LI thing, hm. So for now, I suppose I'll stick to drive snippets or something. Writing in public kinda makes me nervous too due anxiety + English not being my first language. I've only ever RP'd via smail but it would also be interesting to have a larger group of people participating.
Do you have any thoughts on where/what countries our clan might have been mostly traveling, do they have a preference for certain areas? (are they more familiar with desert areas or some type of forest etc?)
[edit] You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
yessss the second point in two days. Now I only need like four hundred more.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
going to bed after this, ofc, unfortunately :')))
I think i like the idea of you actually going through with quilahn being a blood mage as well, as its necessary to have a major conflict to actually be able to develop characters AND stories! Me and my friend (ive been discussing things abt our blurbs and shes liking it so far) are dying to know how quil reacts to mahanon's feelings about his blood magic, as well as how it might possibly start up a new fight between them, any ideas? :')
The worse mahanon gets from these nightmares, are possibly major head aches, but he always gets soothing salve to relieve the pain if he has any business that day.
No worries about it yet, at least until we pinpoint what to start with and what to do. i suggest we have other users submit an application of some sort, to brief their characters, to make sure it doesn't mess with LI/other stuff? mahanon is my only canon iquisitor so far. I get anxious with public writing too, so i understand it, as well as being interested in group rping. :^)
Lets see... Our lavellans have darker skin, and so does my friend's lavellan (who is part of mahanon's world, as is quil, obviously) It tells me they should probably hail from deserty or another warm place, somewhere that needs darker skin for climate reasons. Hmm.. its hard to tell, but im up to them being used to desert areas. what do you think about it? :0
Cute HA ^^
I did start the decent on the weekend. Sadly it is not what I have hoped for. Didn't finish it yet but the direction it is going isn't hardly what I have expected.. still need to gain more levels until I can continue it.

I need to kill some snoufleurs too and make it to the merchant in the hissing waste. I want the Dalish Scout armor schematic bad!
Finally back. Sorry guys! I've have very little time to be online and zero time to play Dragon Age lately. </3 But, now that I'm back up at school... Maybe that will change. XD
Greg Ellis is amazing. XD (I know the feeling well). I've been rewatching Dr. Who and still giggle everytime Ianto is on screen. Because, Solas. Also, I have the urge to create another elf. Because I need to romance Solas again... And not finish the game... Again...
That's awesome. XD I'm totally a girl version of Cullen. o.o Honestly, it's a bit shocking just how much I relate to him. I'm awkward at flirting. I hate people flirting with me/crowding me (unless it's my bf). I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people (not because I don't care, I just... Life happens). XD I hate playing cards... I always lose. Plus, there's plenty more.
My style is terribly inconsistent too, but I don't practice nearly enough to stay consistent, so I can't fuss. For me, half of it is my tremors (I shake/have unsteady hands), some days are worse than others and it makes drawing difficult. Your new forum image is adorable! <3
That's a good party to take! I was a bit disappointed that my party members didn't chime in more, but that could be because the character I took finished the game already.
I'm up for Ena being a part of the big happy family clan! <3 When I picked the name Ena for her I was looking at the elven words Ena and Enansal (thinking Ena would be short for Enansal, and that Ena would be a fitting name since the inquisitor emerges from the Fade). Ena: appear; emerge. Enansal: gift or blessing Enansal fits her character more, since she's constantly trying to do right by everyone, even if it means doing something controversial or putting her reputation on the line. She cares less for what people think of her and more for what they think of the Dalish, and she'd truly like to recover as much of their history as possible.
That's really all I've got though. XD
Urthemiel is awesome! Congrats on grabbing the name!
Lovely HA! I massacre the poor snoufleurs all the time. :c I love them, but I need their pelts. (For some reason, sitting and watching them makes me happy. Their animations make me giggles... Probably because of how ridiculous they look). <3
Welcome back!
Im... a genderless version of carver heh. I totally disregard what happens to the hawke family and its NOt canon at all.. Carver, bethany and leandra are all happy, alive and well. To me, it really frickin hate it when people diss carver all bc hes whiny about something, like yknow.. being compared to hawke all the time.. losing his closest friend (bethany) and then later, his mother. he's been at ostagar and has literally everything going wrong in his life? i just wish people appreciated carver more.. theres more to his whininess then the even try to understand. I like being in the wardens, with carver, i feel like time away from hawke will and it does, make him grow as his own person. opps i m passionate abt this.
Understandable! My wrists are weak (maker knows if i'd be able to actually use a greatsword in real life, rest in pieces) and after a while they get cramped and i cannot draw until the next day :^)) And thank you! If you ever want a drawing just let me know! (idk if i'll charge or not, i get a lil stressed out doing commissions but... the style mahanon is in is easier on my hands and stuff)
As you've probably skimmed through, me and herbal have a lot discussed about our lavellans rip they're brothers and i really love it. (and as well as my mahanon HA bless, i just wish the tattoo parlor was stil a thing so i could make his vallaslin)
i forgot to ping you last time i posted, I love your avatar! Cole is my smol son and i love him dearly, and this event is perfect to bust this HA out.
Eyyy, I'd love to have more Lavellans to interact with, so adding more elves to the clan is always good! (and her name meaning is so nice!) My Quil mostly uses the name Jonquil in human company because he's tired of hearing his name butchered constantly, but it's starting to look like I'm the one who ruined his name lol. Awhile ago I realized I might have to rethink his actual elvish name since Dalish doesn't seem to contain the /k/ phoneme or /il/ at all, which would make pronouncing his current name (Quil-ahn) kind of useless. It was supposed to mean 'the reason (ahn) to wake', but I'm already mixing far too much other elvish into this stuff so I should just figure out more of Dalish lexicon stuff instead of just throwing in Tolkien dialects with different spellings lol.
We're currently thinking of setting our little clan's main traveling routes on the more deserted areas of Thedas, would that be alright with you? (also please share any tidbits and ideas if you've got anything for Ena's backstory figured out yet, it would be nice to include it and see how our characters react / if it affects them etc. c:
^^^ IM HAVING A CRISIS OVER QUIL'S NAME NOW after I found out that Dalish doesn't seem to contain q/k at all oh jesus.
I'm definitely going to make him a blood mage now, just to mix things up a bit and put Mahanon through some more emotional turmoil like the nice person I am. (also I'd love to hear more about your friend's Lavellan (Tally, right?), you should invite them to come chat with us. Hmm, considering Merrill was pretty much banished from her clan for using blood magic, I think Quil would do his best to try an keep it secret especially from Mahanon for as long as he can. Not sure how effectively he manages to do that, does he find out about it before Quil uses a spell that cannot be disguised as anything but blood magic, does he suspect something or confront Quil about it before Quil uses some obvious spell? I could certainly see it prompting a new major fight between them, partly because of the whole secrecy business again (like with Mahanon's alcohol issues, especially after Mahanon has been very honest about his alcohol usage and lets Quil watch after him, finding out that Quil's been doing dangerous things behind his back is probably not a nice surprise?). Quilahn is very confident in his skills though, and truly believes he can handle it, since he's not aiming to use anyone else's blood to boost his skills, and he has no need for summoning demons especially since the veil is already open - the only thing he fails to realize that even if he doesn't summon them per se, they're still going to be there, and using blood makes him more vulnerable to them even if it also boosts his own powers.)
Idk if this reply is already too long for forums so I'll try to keep this brief oops. I def like the idea of planning stuff together with other people, but tbh if anyone else has something more planned for their LIs than I do, I certainly wouldn't mind. :') (plus subeta's forums are all strictly pg13)
And I quite like the desert idea, them being familiar with idk the Hissing Wastes or something? Just imagine the first time they see the Emerald Graves tho. 8)
ohhh noo :'((!! I don't think it'd be too much of a problem, to continue calling him quil? at least Until we find smth similar but fits in with the canon elvhen language.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
My poor poor Mahanon and his emotional turmoil, its almost as if i actually hate him and like to see him in pain, but i actually love mahanon and also love seeing him in said pain. :')) (I just asked her about it, gonna have to wait to see what she says bc shes offline for now. And yess! you're right, its Tally, a precious lil thing)
Like i said in smail, he would catch quil using blood magic eventually, but yes it would have to be an obvious spell for him to actually notice, and that he'd catch his wrist mid battle to pull him so he could ask him why and stuff. In his tone of voice, quil could easily tell that hes completely serious and scared about this, but mahanon would leave before he could answer him, since they're fighting enemies. On their way back to skyhold, he avoids talks to quil, sneaking quick swigs from his flask. But when they're back, he's nearly ripping his hair out over the fact that quil has been doing blood magic in secret, not even mentioning it to him and he feels so angry and betrayed from the fact that he's been honest about his alcohol problem and quil has been technically lying to his face. He'd have to drink quite a bit before actually confronting and arguing about it with quil thinking "hey, since hes doing that i might as well fuck up again" or smth along those lines.
I dont really think i can imagine bull with anyone else but mahanon rip (cept for quil, but thats another story and between us lmao) But yeah, planning is needed before anything else, as well as people joining us in character building and other stuff.
Good then! Im up for them being familiar with the hissing wastes (i actually like being there in game too, its pretty there) They'd see all the grass, water and trees and be like??? Holy shit how the fuck are there so many fucking trees here??? Imagine how they'd be in the colder climate of haven and the hike up to skyhold, the poor things would be frozen.
Tally is very cute
bonus end game mahanon
tiny prints
I still need to print my stickers and finish both DA:O and DA2 crews lmao, but ah gonna sell these at a tiny con, my first time at the artist alley, I'm so nervous.

smol crew.
Nah I'm far too fond of calling him Quil to stop entirely now, although now it's going to bug me at the back of my mind until I actually end up going through all the possible grammar and lexicons I can find. At least there's no alphabet to learn, as much as I love Tengwar, it's a real pain in the arse to study. Yet here I am, doing that on my free time. |: (the best part about said alphabet is that there's like ten different versions of it jfc)
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Hah same, gotta love them disaster children and their sads. Although pointless angst gets tiring far too quick, gotta counter all the heavy stuff with nice progress and happy moments too. ;u;
Quil first starts using blood magic to resupply his own mana at the cost of some of his health/energy (obviously depending on how much blood he needs, and post-battle he starts to feel far more faint than usually. until he gets something to eat.) At some point there's a tough situation and the first thing he does is half an accident, but it ends up boiling the blood of his attacker. Needless to say the sight probably isn't the prettiest, nor it is the subtlest death out there since usually Quil's kills are from creepy entropy life leeching spells and are not particularly.. messy.
Quil would certainly sense that Mahanon is angry with him, but being the stubborn ass he is (with far too much pride tbh,) he'd just play along and not talk to him either, probably just pointedly feigning indifference towards Mahanon. Although even Quil knows that Mahanon has all the right to react the way he does and he's actually right about it too. He's just doesn't want to admit it to him, and he 100% believes that he can still handle it. ..Or, maybe more like 87% believes so, not that he'd ever confess those doubts to Mahanon. He would make it very clear how much he dislikes his brother getting familiar with the bottle once again, but he doesn't actually voice his disapproval like last time. (for a a little while he has the mindset of 'okay fine you do what you want, I do what I want, and we both leave each other alone. Fine, at least until his anger fades and the guilt kicks in.)
I loved the Wastes, they are SO BEAUTIFUL holy shit. They'd probably be familiar with the Forbidden Oasis or other such places (probably more remote / not inhabited by shemlen) , since water is rare and they still need to survive :')
Quil's ears wouldn't stop twitching at the Graves, he'd be so overwhelmed by all the noises and birdsong and cicadas, as well as all the fresh scents and just overall be very confused but in awe. (both excited and incredibly sad, considering the trees are actually grave markers for their kin. )
Spoiler alert, Jonquil deals with cold so well that he manages to lose three entire toes to frostbite before he learns to put some shoes on. (it's not out of his own volition, he just happens to be not wearing shoes when Haven goes to shit and they all get lost in the blizzard. Yet even after that, he hates nothing as much as he hates boots.
And yes, more ppl should throw their characters at us so that we could all have our characters in the same verse and let them loose, see what happens.
TALLY IS ADORABLE oh my god what a ball of sunshine - I really like Mahanon's eyes ;u; Does he end up getting an undercut in our/your canon at any point, or was it simply because the game's hairstyle options were ... a bit on the scarcer side. Btw I just realized that game!Quil and Mahanon have almost the exact same ears, brotherly resemblance even before we knew it hoho. (also the same skin tone I believe) I don't currently have any blurry photos of him, but since I really like the DA2 elf anatomy, all my elves have a basically flat nose bridge.
Welcome back! hope school goes well for you!
okay here is Kian. I’ll need to get a better screenshot of her. Most of what I have about her revolves around her LI. She was drawn to Solas because he was the only thing remotely familiar in this very human Inquisition (I mean they keep calling her the herald of their god/prophet). I know the game says that Clan Lavellan has dealt a lot with humans but Kian has now found herself completely surrounded by them. Kian tends to be short tempered and has little patience when dealing with humans (The Winter Palace is going to be a blast for her). She gets a bit better as the years go on (I think Gaider said that Inquisition takes place over three years) but it’s all very exhausting for her. Solas becomes a safe haven for her from the very beginning. They do butt heads over his opinion of the Dalish but she feels like he understands her. I don’t want to talk too much about the romance since I’m not sure what you all know or how you all feel about spoilers. I haven’t finished her playthrough yet even though I know what her major decisions are going to be.
Aaaaaah i love your art okay??? I love your stickers-- i have the mighty need for bull and dorian, as well as cole and varric. Hopefully if i get paypal sometime soon i can buy/commission you bc tbh, i'd so definitely will unless ya wanna do an art trade or smth eventually? (/coughs it would be of mahanon, obviously.) But yeah, i wouldnt want to change quil's name either, it fits him too much and its precious. ((pss i hope you dont mind if i follow you on tumblr?))
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Of course! We can come up with happy moments too, after dealing with the highly stressful bits if you want. Like perhaps mahanon will finally make some better efforts on recovery and progress on fixing his problem with alcohol. there's tonnes to work on!
while they're not talking to each other, everyone takes notice on the awkward and tense, especially dorian and bull, who're quite wary of what will happen after this silence between the two elves. Dorian stays with Quil (awkward bc quil has been doing blood magic behind his back as well) and bull handles mahanon, stopping him temporarily from blowing up and he listens to his problem and all, so he'd know about the blood magic before anyone else knew and he also, hides it from dorian under the pleas of mahanon.
He starts fucking about "I cant believe him! I pour my heart into his about my problems and dependence on alcohol and what does he do! He fucking does blood magic, and behind my back of all things!" and hes punching walls again and he doesn't pay attention to quil's disapproval of getting with the bottle again bc why the hell should he care? But he does feel like he has a bubbling pit of guilt in his stomach bc what if hes too drunk to save quil from potential dangers? What if that gets quil killed? what if its his fault?
It would probably be mahanon, to begin the fight again, snarling and drunk as he approaches quil, asking him what the fuck got into his mind to start blood magic and accusing him of betrayal, his hair a mess and his appearance a wreck, obviously been tearing himself up over this. He'd bring up how he thought they were going to be completely honest to each other, especially after their fight about his problem and you can hear the strain and choked up emotion, and hes close enough for quil to smell the ale on his breath and he looks about ready to cry.
At the Emerald Graves (also the exalted plains), they decide to do smth good for the dalish there, and help them recover things possibly destroyed by the shems and help them gather supplies and all, Mahanon would even help the craftsmaster with arrow production and stuff? What they'd do while back in their clan and all.
I dont quite know how fast mahanon adjusted to wearing boots but hell is he glad he wore shoes when he trekked to camp after the shit went down in haven and getting to skyhold. What he doesn't like, is having to sneak around with boot on, as they're louder than his bare feet obviously. At least at skyhold they can walk around barefooted all they want.
I loveeeee mahanon's eyes too, they're one of my favorite features on his face. It was probably bc the hairstyles are on the scarcer side of things, but all i knew is that i wanted him to have longer red hair with a braid to the side. Hell, i dont even like da:i's hair texture (a mod i should probably get) but boy do i love him having an undercut now. THat is just adorable holy shit. They were meant to be brothers im literally all giddy over their strong resemblance even before we made them as siblings. I think mahanon's bridge is mainly flat-- i've got to go check in game for that since non of my screenshots really show it.
Kian looks really pretty! It seems Mahanon and her feel the same about being around humans, and he didn't really have that much fun at orlais, he nearly killed the nobles for kinda belittling him and stuff. :^))
Although, Mahanon isn't that fond of solas and strongly dislikes his opinions on the dalish elves, so he tends to ignore him a lot. Don't worry about spoiling me (/coughs at tumblr and their constant spoilers), but you talk about that stuff if everyone else is good with it?
-- get ur butt on here mia
Kian is gorgeous - Also I've got a weakness for that Elgar'nan vallaslin, that particular one must have been painful to get, considering it's on such a large area. My Quil threatens to get the same one after he gets super pissed at Mahanon for something -they're constantly at each other's throats, in a brotherly way - but the keeper just laughs because Quil is hardly proving himself to be either the patient leader or a righteous judge and nothing about him resonates really with Elgar'nan. :') He only gets his vallaslin sometime during Inquisition, until then he's just got an unfinished mark of Dirthamen because his ritual was stopped due to his failure to remain quiet.
It's understandable to be drawn towards the only other ... somewhat .. dalish elf in the inner circle. :') I don't really like the 'dealing often with humans' detail either, so we can just ignore that and stick to a different version. Quil hardly even speaks Trade, so it takes him quite a long while to actually start communicating with anyone without having someone else translating for him. Quil absolutely loathed the Winter Palace as well, but he's not as hot tempered as Mahanon and Kian. (He also really doesn't understand the rabbit slur, since there's nothing inherently bad about them - hearing it still makes him uncomfortable though, but not furious enough to actually say anything about it. I don't mind Solasmance talk, I've been pretty spoiled by tumblr already and idk how I feel about actually romancing him myself, at least not yet.
Please do talk more about what you've got for her and Solas though, I'd love to hear more. :D
fghjuhf thanks bee ;u; We should definitely do an art trade at some point after we both have free time, rn my schedule is a mess. And I totally don't mind, I was actually going to ask if I might follow you as well. :D
Why must there be such a small limit to how many characters you can use in a post, I had to cut this so much.

I live for all the drama and conflict tbh, there's a reason Tolkien's first age problems are my favorite tales maybe ever. But little glimpses of sunshine never hurt anyone, as long as it doesn't turn into total pointless smush XD Slow progress and small victories countered with set-backs and both old and new issues, with some happiness in between.
Tbh I could easily see Dorian being quite vocal about the whole deal, he is a very opinionated man after all, and would likely make it very clear that he doesn't approve, considering his own history with blood magic-related issues and the general Ferelden belief that every Tevinter mage is out there for blood sacrifices and demon summoning.
After Mahanon's confrontation on the matter, Quil apologizes for going behind his back, but he never really apologizes for the actual blood magic. As it's become clear that no one approves or condones Quil's methods, he stops practicing blood magic and sticks to his casual spells - but he's too proud and thinks he's got nothing to be sorry for, it's not like he's hurting anyone. It probably ends up with Mahanon and Quil getting rather distant with each other at least for a while, until they have a proper Conversation about it, and Quil admits that he's been an idiot for trying to hide it from his brother and that there's a reason why it's considered so dangerous and a taboo, especially now that the Veil is gaping open and there's all kinds of spirits floating through it.
I could definitely see them spending some time with the Dalish especially @ Exalted Plains. What if it happens after something happens to their own clan, if we make that our canon? It would also be a good opportunity for Quil to finally get his vallaslin finished, in exchange for lore their clan grew up with, or something.
Yeah, the boots probably creak a lot. Jonquil is really loud about wearing shoes, and ditches them the first chance he gets. (he'll only wear shoes if it's absolutely freezing, and even then he'll probably just walk barefoot for as long as possible. )
Same about the hairstyles, I was so disappointed especially with the qunari styles, my first Inquisitor was supposed to be a hulking Adaar lady towering over everyone, but. yeah. I really like the undercut for Mahanon, though also the tiny braid style ❤️. Quil likely keeps his hair braided quite often since it gets in the way otherwise, at least until he ends up getting it chopped short.
I adore the art! I wish you the best of luck at the con. c: Sell lots of goodies!
