- We are currently holding trials between our current artists in order to reassign the keeto, celinox and ontra. All three have been without an artist for quite a while. It wasn't so much of a problem at first as when their old artist (Keshi) left as they had been completed in all colours. But we're now at a point where they're about 4 colours behind, so we're looking for a new artist home for them :)

Unsure how I feel about the field Legeica/Neela being changed! The field Legeica was always my favourite field pet, which is likely why I went that direction when I coloured the neela! They're still field...just a field that's been slightly walked on and the grass has all worn down :x

As to a new hare pet - I've also wanted this for YEARS. I never got to design the kanis, and it's not where I would have gone but I think has definitely influenced my own personal style over the years. I've got little sketches lying around of hare-type pets. I've always been a huge Watership Down fan (I met Richard Adams last December!) and those bunnies were anything but cutesy. Add in my love for Hester, Lee Scoresby's daemon from His Dark Materials and I'm practically sketching again as we speak xD

This thread is going to end up just containing every pet on Subeta xD

How about pets don't make it to the front page unless like...3-5 people mention them?!

- I'll tell you what, I'm going to go in and delete the pets that weren't on my radar already, because those ones don't need a case making for them as much as a lot of these newer ones do!

[Edit] I think, you can just leave it as it is for now, I don't really agree with the sweetheart pets needing revamps just yet, or the chibi kerubi or nightmare charlie. The mahar is listed as a magnus! I definitely don't think the mahar needs redoing, though! Or the graveyard ruffie. Or experiment 84. I'd have to see better cases made for those, for sure.

- aw, your post made me smile :) And there's somebody on staff who agrees with you on the reborn kerubi! I've never quite been able to capture the spirit of that pet - the artist of that one was really amazing.

Honestly, it's more the sentiment of what people loved about the old pets in a thread like this that I enjoy. I know in the past, when we've come to revamp pets, we'll be deciding on whether we'll change the pose, or keep it along the same lines, or if we want to try real hard to preserve a certain something that the users just loved about an old pet.

We're pretty good about weeding through the information to figure out what ACTUALLY needs to be revamped! But a thread like this might sway our minds as to what to do first.

For example, I have a revamp planned for a certain two pets - a species revamp - and this thread has definitely shown me which one I want to tackle first. (And I'm rather excited to get on with it, actually)

Just remember that real people drew these pets, not robots, and a lot of love has gone into them over the years. We don't aim to ruin dreams or crush expectations (even though I think some people are under that impression!) and we're all still learning as we go - we never stop learning. So just remember that when you're writing about the mythical artist that at some point has drawn something a little...off. Our aim in this game is to please you guys, and make amazing art, and it's way easier to do that when you're enthusiastic and positive about it!

(Side note, I also enjoy looking in the 'what DON'T you want to be revamped thread' to keep an eye on how-to-not-crush-too-many-dreams)

- I've cleared the ones I really didn't think needed to be there. Mostly. There are more that I know won't be redrawn for a while, yet, but they don't really offend me to be left up there!

As is the case with all other feedback threads, users are welcome to comment both positively and negatively on the thread, including suggestions for pets, the nature of revamp feedback, or the existence of the board/brainstorming in the first place.

As users are continuing to discuss pet revamps and how such revamps are being handled, this feedback is appropriately located.

We do have our own internal lists of what needs to be done, we always have had. As I've said already, a thread like this may influence an artist on which revamp they attempt first, as opposed to which one they are going to do - we already have a good idea of which pets need revamping or slight touchups. But when I see multiple pages of people requesting archans and not so much manchus (even though I feel they both are in need of a revamp) I am given more information as which would be more beneficial to the user base to complete first.

My suggestion to create an organised thread such as this was based on the amazing voluntary work I'd seen done on threads like theTribute Items thread - it was not something required, but something that I thought would be a lovely addition if there was somebody who would like to put it together. There are people who enjoy creating organised lists, and this was something that could have benefitted different groups of people.

I apologise if my clearing out of some pets in the first thread came across as a power trip of some kind - that was not how I felt doing it at all! I was reluctant at first, but it was requested and so I took out 5 pets that I would have liked to hear more opinions/reasons for revamping through people’s voting comments. I had no intention of ever touching the OP again, this was a one time thing intended to set ’s thread in the new direction.

I do not want people making and upholding these threads if they aren’t enjoying running them. They are under no obligation at all. I also do not want to dictate users feedback. As such, I am going to return to keeping my own notes, and keeping an eye on what you guys want without getting directly involved. (Unless I am asked a question that I can reply to, or if I’m posting as a user - because I do still play the site, and I still enjoy pets and artwork!)

- that's actually an old design feature of the keeto that is the same on most keetos! It actually does bug us a little too, and the new artist has been shading those darker parts to give them the depth that we wanted to see (on the sweetheart and the storm!)

Did you know the glacier telenine was released on 09/7/07? So it is literally a decade old! And it's definitely on my list for revamping :) (And your English is great!)
