Thank you to my secret santa for even more presents - I'm sorry about the expensive item in there. I hadn't realised, maybe my brain only saw official price :(
My dearest Secret Santa <3 Thank you again! I too have been taking advantage of the lack of lag when I can. It can be a real bummer for sure. Hope you are having a wonderful day :)

My Secret Santa has struck again! I have been well and truly spoiled this year! It wasn't necessary but it is so very appreciated all the same β€
I'm back! I had a wonderful time in Cologne. A very beautiful city with wonderful Christmas markets and really easy to get around. We had to check out the chocolate museum. It was very interesting and explained a number of things I didn't know about chocolate production. They gave out some free samples which was so nice and gave me a great idea for a chocolate cookie recipe. The markets were filled with fun items like wooden carved tree ornaments of the landscapes and buildings surrounding Cologne. There were pendants, puppets, soft toys and food. A lot of really nice food. Like these hash browns the size of pancakes. You got three in a portion. So good. I had a very happy birthday exploring Cologne and having fun. I am definitely going back when I can afford it. Thank you to all those who wished me happy birthday!! I've spent part of the day going through all the messages and gifts. It was so nice to have so many messages waiting for me when I got back. You are all so sweet. ^_^ Thank you.
Thank you so much for stepping in. :D Did everything go okay?
Thank you! :) It was warmer than I expected in Cologne. Has the weather been okay here?
It was wonderful! And thank you! :)
My birthday cake was a fresh made waffle with whipped cream eaten in the heart of the Christmas Market. I'll never forget it. ^_^
Aw. I hope her likes her gift. It's great to hear she's enjoying the joy that comes with giving someone something special.
Ah, with you. I know I tend to gush when I have stories to tell from places like that so I wasn't sure if I'd said something confusing. I can give more details if you want. The best part was the factory. It was only a small one but it made mini chocolates. You could push a button for a random sample that would be taken from the chocolates leaving the chiller before they were wrapped. Then there was the chocolate fountain. A huge thing covered in golden cocoa beans and pouring chocolate. It was fenced off and two people stood by it at all times but they dipped wafers into it for a free sample of hot melted chocolate. The cafe was my favorite. They made their hot chocolate with milk and the chocolate gotten from a fountain of the stuff. I had mine with mint and whipped cream. They had a beautiful arrangement of cakes too. I think I may have lost you again.
Nah. That's okay. It's a good joke, I have this habit of letting my thought train jump a few rails so I tend to check if I've gone on some odd link before hand. Thanks for the treats!
omg you made me drool xD chocolate museum xD Sadly no spirit here! :( Omg it formed a tag! XD
as for other pet games I play on Gothicat World (gothicat-world.com) and Beastkeeper (beastkeeper.com) and used to play on Mweor (www.mweor.net) but I quit Mweor... even though I loved it, because they wouldn't fix a certain bug and it bothered me too much. But that's just my idiosyncrasy. And I used to play Flash pet games on Facebook too, Pet Society till it closed and Happy Pets till it wouldn't run anymore after it changed owners.
Thank you so much for the gifts, Santa! I love the kore lips and am trying to come up with an outfit now for them. :)
I checked out beastkeeper :o not my type xD I joined flightrising instead bc I was being referred too :D
Beastkeeper is really complicated, it a completely different way from how Subeta is complicated. I am fond of it... it kind of reminds me of an indy browser game version of an early MMO or MUD, with how you can breed the pets to be fighters and then make squads out of them and take over territory, or breed them for looks, and explore terrain and find resources, build buildings. Definitely not for everyone.
Mweor is more breeding based, I don't know what all they've added in the years since I played it though. Gothicat world is collection based and also has some cool creative contests.
ahh! I was searching for games like subeta and neo where there were plots that lasts for a limited time and it will grant you trophies based on the amt of effort you put into each haha but I got hooked up to flightrising instead xD
Gothicat has that, sort of - has events that reward collectible pets and other items. Some require more effort than others.
hmm does it have trophies? :o The pets on there are stunningly beautiful!! Subeta and FR are enough for me tho haha Dw Iβll make an acct for you :D
Trophies? Not really. Maybe... I got a trophy once for coming in 2nd in an art contest last Christmas.
But it was just a graphic :D And there was a trophy decoration you could give a pet, I think. It's not a super involved game not like subeta... it has one event at a time usually and sometimes gap between events, sort of like subeta but with French holidays instead of American ones. (Most of the players are French) The pets really are beautiful, and there's new ones every month that you adopt (you get 6 eggs from each of 5 species that you can adopt during that month from the main menu; they grow up into creatures; plus more creatures who don't start as eggs from events and trading).
Don't feel obligated to make an account for me... I don't think they give anything for referrals :D Just felt like telling you about the other games I play because you asked and I felt chatty ;)
