Hello. I have barely been online so far this year except to binge watch Netflix. I just haven't been feeling it. I have missed everyone though.

I think we've all been busy. I lost my job just before Christmas and have just managed to land a new one. With that, Christmas, New Year, job search, pet trouble, bro being ill and everything else I just haven't had the chance to come and chat.

Is everyone ready for Survival? I know it's not far off now.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother, is he getting better? Are your Cavies okay?

He split with his long term girlfriend and is feeling it. I'm sorry it ended, they seemed happy together. We've asked him to come home for a break. Give him a chance to chill and recover. Cavie wise, we had to have the dominant female put down over New Year. She was fitting so badly she couldn't get up. Then, this week, we had to have Peggy put down as well. She wasn't well at all and was struggling to eat. She sounded so wheezy. Poor thing. She was the most friendly of our little ones too. Loved everyone she met. I miss her. Quizzy is not looking well but she is an old cavy and so far she's still eating and showing interest. Lorulie will be on medication for the rest of her life. She's coping but isn't too happy about it. But we have adopted a young one from a shelter. I called her Pippin while everyone else calls her Slashy. This is not a reference to my internet name though. She hasn't been handled much and has no idea that not all humans are big and scary. As a result when we pick her up to take her anywhere she panics and starts scratching at us with her claws. We're working on that though. We're trying to pick her up when she's run into a tube and every time she's picked up there's always a treat waiting for her when she's put back down. So far she seems to be calming down. It's just taking some time. How about you? How's your little bunny doing?

Mine are okay. Getting along well except when food is involved. My female is greedier than my male and keep trying to steal his food, he then chases her and she becomes unhappy... does serve her right. As long as he doesn't try to hurt her, we see no problem with him chasing her.

According to SubetaPedia survival starts mid-Feb and ends at the end of Feb so it should be any day now :D

Slash I'm sorry to hear about your piggys.. I miss ours too. We had two rescues named Oreo and Rollo back in Phoenix. I want another pair but the CNC cage set up, all the fleece, hay, food.. It's just not in the budget for the life they deserve.
