Didn't you have to be bitten to actually get infected once you purchased your strain? I didn't participate, so I'm not sure at all, just wondering. Also, how much were the infections?

For the OP, I have no idea how much they spent, but it was obviously significant enough to warrant this thread being opened. The user below the OP claims to have lost 750k sP on this whole endeavor, which means it was most likely a 2010 infection. I can't remember what Brain Rot was worth, but I think it was 500k sP or slightly lower. It was a 2011 infection, so the price was pretty hefty.

The OP's words signify that maybe they were bit a little before the event ended, and I know I posted in the [INFECT ME] Brain Rot Thread, with users pinging me and telling me that they had bit me. And keep in mind, they gave me bites hours before the end of the event.

Plus a few users in the news announcement claimed to have experienced this same deal, and one said that there was some cache issues on the site that day, causing this for people way earlier in the day of the end of the event. I also read that some users couldn't be bitten due to another site issue.

Nevertheless, I don't understand why they can't just fess up that we're probably not getting our infection, or our sP back, like I expect somewhat will happen.

Infections were 100k up to 1m for the oldest (100k, 500k, 750k, and 1m I believe were the prices). And no, you didn't have to be bitten. You would still get infected after 2-3 days if you weren't.

-Kyuubi Staff has said you'll still get your infections (on a thread of yours, in fact). I don't know what more you want.

-Kyuubi I just got the notification from the Volunteer Infection Program, so it looks like we're all good.

I had a longer response planned out, but now it's no longer of matter, now that we have a confirmation of infection. I still do apologize if my words before made it seem like I was "wanting more", or something like that. I tend to get caught up in my words and think faster than I type.

I will await the notification, and figure out something if by chance, it doesn't show up.

I know for a fact that once you have your infection it will run it's course. Boobitis did for me. However, if you guys don't see your infections starting soon I would file a ticket to see what's up.

Alright, so technically for me, it has been a little over three days from the exact time when I requested/bought Brain Rot, and I still have not received a notification regarding any infection.

In any of your opinions, how much longer should I wait for a notification before sending in a ticket?

-Kyuubi I would wait at least until midnight Subeta time, if not another 24 hours. All I've heard was 2-3 days, but I don't know how long it actually takes, if it's longer based on the year of your strain or if it's random or what. Other people who bought strains late have gotten infected though so I really wouldn't worry about it. [edit] Keep in mind that, if the event doesn't come through it's going to be hard to tell if you're infected or not. Your HA has a default hair on, and your initial signs of infection will be under your hair so you'll almost have to change around your entire HA to even use the preview link, unless you can catch a glimpse of it before the rest of your HA loads in the beta wardrobe :x
