If we don't need to go too far then bikes would probably be the best. I can explain about them and show you some images of the ships if you want. The trees are sentient creatures able to craft energy shields capable of withstanding the extremes of space and even weaponry when attached to a 'ship' base. They're like organic super computers which can command space armarders by 'talking' to one another. However they need to bond with other sentient organic lifeforms (humanoids are best for swift communication) to operate and find their way through star systems. Trees aren't much good at making maps like that. For those who use them to fly, one or more individuals need to be 'attached' to the tree. They can 'hear' the tree and can ask it to do things for them. The humanoids get a friendly mind to watch out for them and a ship that naturally produces oxygen and food. I've just always thought it a very cool concept. They're a bit like the ships in Fargo. Alive but in need of a pilot.

Do you think we should ask GreenRowan about this? Like, are we allowed a craft each or one for the whole team? Maybe we can say we want hovercycles for The Fellowship with a side car for Wolf? It counts as one vehicle as its only one kind of transport. But... maybe we'll need a space ship?

I'm sure she'll say something when the time comes. And she /did/ say that whether we have a ship or ground transport, we'll be fine. As for the hovercycles, I was thinking more along the lines of /flying/ cycles, like Sirius had and Hagrid borrowed. Not just near-ground skimming ones.

Oh! We could pick colours we want our cycles to be. Did you ever seen the second Ghost Rider movie? It wasn't great but there was that part where he turns a crain into a giant fire motorcycle. There's a space ship design. ^_^

I haven't seen Tenchi Muyo either but I like the sound of a tree being involved. When I think of spaceships I think of the ones from Cowboy Bebop. X3

Cowboy Bebop. Possibly the most famous starship in anime. ^_^ Tenchi Muyo is an older series involving aliens but such cool spaceships! A race called the Juria were the ones with tree ships but there was the one ship that the cast used that could turn into a pet rabbit and back again. It was really cool! If you type it into Google images you can see examples of the ships.
