You should decide your class, and put the finishing touches on the character you want to use. ^.^

Wow, sounds like you've got a great deal of experience in rps like this one. Thank you for offering to answer our questions. I've only ever done one and still feel somewhat overwhelmed by everything!
Thanks for the advice! Very much food for thought. I found myself struggling with the Steampunk theme, not unlike my character Quercus. I know of it but I kept missing key aspects of the themes. I'll keep your advice in mind and see if I can up the HA designs I try.
As shylarah said, mostly just have a good idea of your character and their abilities in mind. Maybe some idea of how they would react to things. We can do some pre-rp if you like.
Maybe they could extend? Folded up for when she's working? What would Sirh make of them do you think?
Perhaps that would be helpful. Or just give me some run downs on scenarios and maybe what to expect/what my character should be doing. I'm clueless and find myself more confused now than I was a few months ago. :P
I have somewhere my profile on my character from nutsy. But I feel like to fit in this group, I need to tweak her a little. She's probably close to good, but with the various non-human characters and the way that WS is different than Nutsy, I think she needs a few tweaks. I need to write that up maybe and it could give you all some ideas of what I should work on. :)
Name: Spring Joy Shire
Nicknames: Springy, but only if you know her well.
Motto: Find a way, or make a way.
Known for: Her positive outlook. Her work ethic. Her love of nature and animals. And her ability to read people and their motives accurately.
Personality: Spring is decidedly an introvert. She prefers to stand back and observe and support rather than to lead and be in the limelight, but she can step up when she needs to. She is steady and calm, and very logical. She is naturally an encourager, and nurturer. She finds the joy and beauty in unexpected places. She loves people, but only those closest to her get to know all aspects of her personality. She is quick witted and makes people laugh.
Weaknesses: She is inexplicably clumsy. Is overly suspicious of strangers. Dislikes speaking to large groups of people. Has a big imagination. This is a strength and a weakness, depending on your perspective.
Background & Current Life: Spring was born and raised in a rural location just on the edge of a big forest. She had few friends, except for the ones she made in the forest--both the people made it their home and the animals and birds who were always there. She is happiest wherever she can hear the sound of the "Wind in the Willows" or the ocean singing.
She grew up with a knowledge of herbs, edible and medicinal. She also trained in the art of medicine and forensics.
Currently, she owns a plot of ground which she farms (her dream job!) as a "cover" for her job as a private consultant/investigator with the Meddlesome Madams on call for Nutsy himself. She also adventures with the Fellowship.
yes, I think so. The brass bar works best, I think. If the Industrious Bladed Wings looked a little bit better, I'd go for those. They're closer to what I imagine. Folding up is a must. As for Sihr...she'd find it odd, and probably need some time to get used to it. ^.^

Looks good so far. You have her character clear in your mind and you've given thought to her strengths and weaknesses. She looks very fun! Does she have any companions? What's her weapon of choice? Quercus uses a bow and arrow set (made from a wyvern) and has a song bird called Star (short for Star Eye) and Tipper (short for White Tip). You can use any weapon you like for your ranger, bows and arrows are traditional but if you have something else in mind go for it. Check the wardrobe for ideas. We have a fair few design contests where we have to craft an outfit for a certain situation so have a look at what your character would normally wear. Same thing for any companions you might have. One person had a bear last time around so don't be afraid to go for something unusual. But you will need to use the wardrobe to illustrate it. As for some situations, er, let me think, oh! Last year we had to infiltrate a bar in a steampunk city, how would your character react to that? Then there was the ambassador dance. Would Spring be happy at such an event? How would she react to it?
They look very nice. I can see them folding away quite nicely. Maybe have that style for folded out and the brass bar for folded in? At least Sihr would have someone larger than her to protect her while flying. That could be fun.
No, folded in they'd be tight to the back, and not very broad. The issue I have with the brass bar is that the "feathers" are rather sparse.

I am deciding on a companion. But I had thought of a bird. I didn't realize yours were birds! Hmm... I know I need to pick one so let me think on it.
Spring is probably pretty good at blending in. If she can observe people and their reactions, or deal one on one, she is good. Standing up to give a speech in front of a crowd, not so much. But she has and can do it. It just makes her feel skittish! Dancing, as in a masquerade-esqu ball? Spring might need to find a quiet corner to recharge in (introvert, after all) but she loves people and dancing. Just not going to be the life of the party, probably. ;)
Only Star is a bird. I forgot to explain, Tipper is a red fox. If you want a bird for a companion go for one. You could have a hawk or a songbird or any that captures your imagination. Okay. How would Spring react to being asked to infiltrate a political party as an ambassador or the niece of the ambassador? That was one of the situations we had to rp through. It will probably be different this time around but that's the sort of thing you might be asked to do.
True. They do look more decorative rather than practical and I think Jean would want something that worked.
Hmm, I think that could be fun. Spring is a good detective and with a great support system like the rest of the team, she'd probably be okay. Spring loves forensics and finding clues. She is confident in what she does. But clumsy (as in she trips and runs into things accidentally from time to time) so we'd have to watch for that so no fancy artifacts get damaged. :D
Hi guys! I know everyone is still enjoying Vesnali (hope everyone got lots of flowers) but we are just a month away from starting Wayward Squirrel Three! Is everyone ready? Our team good to go? I everyone okay sticking with Adventurer or do we want to change? I just want to finalise everything before we start.
It will be a little difficult for me on weekends as I work Sat, Sun, and Mon -- and sometimes Fri as well. But other than that, I should have no problem. I'm counting on you guys more than ever!

I don't think there will be an issue for me. As long as life doesn't go too nuts. There is an event coming up that may change that but I'll let you know if it does. It's less than a week away. Is there anything we need to decide what to do before we start? Do we need to decide on a ship or will we be given one? Do we want one?
shrug it seems we will have some sort of vehicle. Personally, I think Jean would have fun with a motorcycle...^.^;;
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
I think she would too. For some reason I picture her riding a Tron style cycle. ...Could a motorcycle carry everyone? Quercus might be able to ride one but wouldn't unless Tipper and Star were happy to do so. I don't think Tipper would though. Unless the companions go their own way again I don't know if motorcycles would work for Quercus. Would we need one veical per team or one per player?
Making up our own transportation is a weird concept. Last time around we were told what we had to drive/fly whenever we had need to do so. Now I'm stuck picturing a Scooby Doo style hippie van with all of us stuffed into it. But if I had to choose I think I would totes be interested in a space ship. I LOVE OUTER SPACE.

Haha, I don't think everyone would fit. Although, if we could use motorcycles with sidecars, we could do it!
I approve of a spaceship. Who's driving/flying, again?
EDIT: HOVERCYCLES! Flying equivalent of motorcycles, anyone? That way we're not stuck to the ground! Or maybe we should call them flitters - small craft just big enough for one, maybe two people. <3

In a past life Venom was a highly proficient space ship plot. But this time around... Well he was born underground. I don't doubt his capacity to pick it up, but it would take some practice and more than a few bumpy starts. Hovercycles would be cool, especially if they glowed like the Tron bikes! Only each of us would have to be good at driving them and we would prolly need a sidecar for Wolf ~ lol
We are called the Fellowship... Maybe we need to befriend GIANT EAGLES and they can show up at the last minute all the time to save us from an otherwise untimely fate X3
Hahaha <3 That'd be fun! Yeeeees, glowing bikes! Jean likes this very much.

When it comes to Quercus the only vehicle I could think of was the space ships used in Tenchi Muyo, the ones with giant trees capable of projecting force fields or being crafted into space ships. That seems such a cool idea to me and one that would work with Wolf, Quercus and Spring.
I think Quercus and Spring would be the pilots. I know that Rangers have the pilot as a secondary class and Quercus has done it before when the Fellowship went to Crystania. Hover bikes sound great! Especially with Tron style lighting. I wonder if we're only allowed the one kind of vehicle? It would fun to have a spaceship and the bikes for more ground based works. But if we're moving through a town, hover bikes would be better.
Well, flitters can fly close to the ground too. I've never seen Tenchi Muyo. And we'd need three, maybe four of them, because we have six peoples plus animal companions.
