I'm going to be stalking for a GBP slot, but I'm just wondering how comfortable you'd be with doing an overlay for a steamworks pet, but with Halo styled armour instead?
Perfectly happy =3 I've done something for Mass Effect before now, some examples:
N7 Mass Effect Armour (a bit older now) Metal Gear Pacific Rim Ps4 based, Xbox One based Misc police dog mech Misc modern mecha Close fitting sci-fi armour

How much freedom would you want/need with it? Other than 'look like it could be spartan armour', I wouldn't really have much direction to give :') I mean, I know which armour I would want it to kinda resemble, but that's about it :')
Totally up to you, I'd need refs of the armour you want and to know which pet it's based on, and any details you're very particular that I include. If it's to be uploaded to the site I believe it'll still need 4 changes too, so I'll need to know those as well.
Okay I can deal with that. Source changes are never something I've considered before, what sort of things could that be? Just making sure things don't look exactly the same? (Sorry for 1001 questions!)

Sorry for the slow work , I wish I knew what caused it but I've been really struggling to put pen to paper -- I have a very strong negative reaction to waiting on a reply after job interviews and my motivation is dropping into the negatives, it's frustrating, and I will be working out a way to make the wait up to you because it's not fair on you.
How is the lineart looking, any changes before I go on to colour and shade?
:( Don't worry about it, please! What comes first is your health and how you're feeling, not a commission you have to do. I love your art and don't mind waiting a while for it if you want to take a break. He looks great so far!

Description/Refs: What I need is a badass, male Black Jaguar like this one but with more piercing emerald green eyes (Ref), a couple of battle scars all over his body and a half ripped-off right ear.
Pose Preferences: A pose similar to the one on my ref image would do, though I wish that he could appear a little more angry / pissed off.
Other/Attributes: My chara is a loner, somewhat of a freak (horror addict and more), has an issue with empathy towards others and with trusting anyone but himself, is a nightowl , a sore loser and he can turn into a rabid monster if being attacked or pushed into a corner.

Okay great! So I'd like to get that overlay done I queried about 2 weeks ago.
Essentially I'd like to get a Steamwork Cadogre done in Halo style armour.

Couple of things I'd specifically like: The overall shape of the Cadogre can stay the same, the 'wings' and tail can be kept, too, as I'd like it to still kinda be recognizable as a Cadogre. Could the face be changed so it looks like the Helmet (with the orange visor too please), and the blue core in the middle of the Cadogre's chest can be taken away. The rest of the body can just look like it's a little more plated like armour, rather than as it is now. You don't specifically have to follow the placement of the black parts of the armour from the references, but could it at least be like that on it's neck, please?
The pose doesn't have to be too aggressive, maybe have the tail curling around so it's a bit more visible.
I hope that all makes sense. I'm not 100% sure what the armour parts were called so I had to make do aha. Obviously as you said, for the overlay to be submitted and accepted it has to be different than the source material. I hope that what I've suggested will mean it's different enough for it to be accepted by staff!

Oh gosh, it looks so beautiful so far! I'd prefer it with the back fins, please. And yes, blue armour please! The first ref is the best one for the colour :D
