If that was just asymmetrical, instead of having the long train, it would be adorable as fuck
For sure, the color, the theme, it matches pretty well.
I didn't knew these mullet dresses were a thing lol
Even though you posted almost a day later, here is my answer:
It's such a huge controversy because no matter how understanding and empathetic people can be, it's hard to wrap your head around another person perceiving reality differently than you do. Perception is everything and people only perceive reality, not the actual reality itself. Freaky, huh?

This should clear it up a bit: http://youtu.be/jexnhNfOzHg (SciShow rocks)
Pretty much if you looked at the picture expecting it to be white and gold, it will be white and gold . But you can trick your brain by convincing yourself that it's blue and black (it's actual colour) and looking back at the picture it'll be blue and black. At least that's what I find.
And yeah, that dress is totally not my style.
Why indeed, we never know if reality is really what we are perceiving in the end isn't it? You know, when I and a friend told my other friends we saw the dress as black and blue, they thought we were collectively mocking them! I'm just surprised by the lenght of discussion on that dress. lol
This was very informative, thank you! (More than the billion of theory pages that popped up for sure)
I think curiosity arose mostly because people is trying to reach a undestandment on why our perceivings were so divided - the actual war ended just being some sort of fun stuff lol
i used to see it as white and gold but since i saw the picture with the edited levels i can't see the white version again... well i don't like it either way
It mainly has to do with the cones in your eyes, and how well the luminosity is. If the cones in your eyes are well developed and/or you are in a brightly lit room, you will see it as black and blue, but if they are ever so slightly underdeveloped and/or you are in a dimly lit room, it will appear white and gold. There is also another colourpalette for it, and that is if you are ever-so-slightly colourblind. Then you will see it as either: blue/olive, purple/green, red/orange, darkgold/blue or any other combinations.
"Wow, there's a bucket of crazy where your head used to be!"
