I know what gets me about art is that everyone has their own unique style and there's so many artists out there. I love art so much there were days where I would spend hours on deviantart just admiring people's work

I'm gonna join in! I'm Monika and I've been a member for almost 6 years and i don't think i have anyone to talk to on here. I had friends that were real life friends that got me to join and then they stopped playing and I'm the only one who continued to play. -sigh. But I love this place regardless of friends. But I'd love to be your friend!
Just thought I'd add that I LOVE Ross. And you're pretty patient to work there, cause all the ones I've been to looked like a storm blew through. I couldn't imagine working with all those clothes and people flying everywhere. I worked in retail at Dollar General for a few months and I thought that was hell.

I think a huge reason that I continue to work there is because I met one of my best friends there and she has taught me a lot about how even though retail isn't the cushiest, easiest job, that it can be very VERY rewarding if you do it right. That is a huge reason why I say and stick with the term "success breeds success" My friend is very savvy with working to a point where she is not drained, can have fun and is making shitloads of money. In a job that doesn't require a college degree! She's helped me move up in the company by teaching me how to deal with people both customers and associates in a way that benefits me. Sometimes its really REALLY hard. (like right now, i am training for upper store management at a store that I absolutely hate) But i always look at it as I am getting paid a lot of money to yell at people... and build effective teams. Something a lot of people cant even do in high school for group projects xD

Lmao yeah that's true. It takes certain people to do what you do! I definitely couldn't make it in retail. I don't like yelling at people. I'm a bank teller and this job is perfect for me haha.

No I know what you meant. I'm just saying I couldn't work somewhere where I yell at anyone at all.

I worked at a school as a coach, but i only yelled at the kids when they couldn't hear me across the room and when one went running out into traffic... What do you do now?

My day has been alright so far. It got really cold here in texas. I need to go home and pack because I'm leaving at 4 in the morning to go to Alabama.

I'm going to a funeral. My aunt passed away from breast cancer.

oh my, so not so nice huh? I'm sorry to hear that, it's always hard to lose a family member. Were you two close?

We were very close. Growing up my mother wasn't in my life and my father worked full time so I lived with my grandma and my aunt. The two of them were like mothers to me. But my aunt battled with cancer for 20 years and it finally took its toll on her. She's not suffering anymore, so that's a good thing. We had time to prepare for her passing so its not like she just went during the night.

oh my goodness, I'm so sorry for your loss, how are you doing?

I'm alright, it happened on the first of February so I've had some time to grieve. This will be the first funeral I've ever been to so I don't know what to expect. I'm going with my father who doesn't get along with most of my family so hopefully he doesn't start anything.

funerals are awful, I've been to one in my lifetime and never again (figuratively of course, I'll to go to my mother's and such) so much sadness and grief a very somber event. I don't to bring you down or anything it'll be pretty hard. Yeah hopefully your dad will understand there's a time and a place.
