It's basically a team RPG with puzzles and HA contests instead of stats. You do have a character and a class, and you do RP, but, as shylarah said, there's a lot of challenges to solve and do!

We have a number of new players this year, and we were all new once. If you want to do this, then please go join Wayward Squirrels.

I'm going to make a team up closer to the event of the players who aren't in a group, and it will be in traveler mode, which will give you a chance to see what its like and settle in more easily.

so what do i need to do to get started just now? obviously this round hasn't started yet, so do i need to come up with my character profile just now? what info do you need for it? sorry if it's already mentioned somewhere in this thread, i'm terrible at finding this stuff :S

It's a good idea to get a character started, but if classes are in play (and they do seem to be), then you may need to fit into a spot on a team that hasn't been taken. The classes are warrior, mage, alchemist (potions and stuff), vagabond (jack-of-all-trades with a side of thief), bard (music!), and ranger.

No form. You make your character independently, and just share that info with your team, if you want.

Hey all! Sorry for being MIA. I've been sick with the flu (Zelly too) but we're finally over the worst of it. I'm so excited that most of our team from last year will be here!

: will you have a Character Forum so that we can give a bio of our characters? I've not introduced my character ( Me--Lady Frieda Von Steuben ) to the Wayward Squirrel forums, even though many know me from the Love Truck Camping Trip, I Am Legend Bar and Grill, Midnight Lamp and Krakatoa role-plays. ( not to mention the Lair Bears...which isn't a role-play, but I am in character there too... )

Okay, I seem to have a number of requests to put up the "background threads" with summaries of previous Squirrels, character into thread, classes, etc. The event still won't start until mid May, (good by the Subeta calendar and those of us involved in classes), but you may want the info early.

I'm pleased to do this, but please bear in mind that all teams aren't formed yet, we'll still get a few newbies knocking on the door (although they'll have to knock hard, since we're pretty full), and the whole plot is still under construction.

Now, there will be NO pre-events, but I did think about doing a few teasers to set up some things in advance. (You will do nothing but read them, and maybe look at the pictures, if any.) Still , they might be fun for you and help give you a clearer idea of how this meshing of settings is going to work. What do you think? You like?
