I really really like the ideas of both a Subq facial CW contest, and the sketch designs for a Subq line-- the later could, for example purposes, turn out like the BotBs/HnRs?
Like you have the sketch/basic idea and you work with a staffer and all that.
To make that slightly easier on staff (ie: less entries to deal with), it could actually work just like the first part of BotBs? Where users make teams of 1-5 users (you shouldn't be punished for wanting to do this solo, though, not everyone works good in teams) and friends work together to make a cool concept/a sketch and it's submitted-- then staff go through the submissions and it basically would work just like the CW contest.
Everyone gets one vote, and in the end the top three designs get turned into something. Obviously the winner gets to become a line, and maybe the second winner gets to have a smaller box set released in the token shop (like a 3-4 item set?), and the third place winner gets 1-2 items released in the token shop (like idk, the wig and wings or something like that).
Also to play off of this:
I think having a very specific CW contest isn't a bad idea at all, actually! I mean if it's possible to do a facial item only contest for SubQ, why not have a Weapon CW Contest (that'd be perfect for the next time we get a Battlepalooza)? Not that the site really needs more lower tier weapons (thanks restockables hahaha), BUT there are a few tiers who could use some not-too-bad stuff (cough t6/7 cough) and the prize for this could just be the weapon itself-- no csc/sP or anything else.
Because I'll tell ya some of the CW "weapons" look pretty awesome and I kinda wish some of them were battle weapons.
Also I wouldn't mind "themed" contests in general.
I also like 's idea. Give some more ideas to the Alchemist. You design items based on the layer cards and choose how each item is made based on the colors you use. (So say you made a wig it would require the wearable token, head layer card, and you need a white+yellow tinctures to make it.) This is still an sP sink because you would need to buy the items in order to make the wearables.
Plus you have many layers to choose from so there's plenty of options there, if people want face items well we have the face layer cards and so on. It would allow more items to be added and give people a chance to really be creative and what not.
