was discussing this with friends and it was suggested i make a thread. anyway, i thought it would be cool if some sort of "partial cure" could be introduced that would regress whatever strain you currently held back 1 stage, permanently. it could be taken multiple times until you got to the stage you wanted to keep. because you gotta admit that some of these strains' beginning stages look really cute, and i dont doubt a lot of folks would like to keep em full time.

then if you ever got bored of being an almost-zombie, you could full cure and re-infect with that same strain at a later survival event, or just whatever.

Uh... I don't see this happening, because why would you just get partway through a disease and then it stop? But then again I didn't think we would ever get to store/remove/switch/exchange/coverup/etc., zombie skins (or get separate noses cough), because we were always told we wouldn't be able to 'no never - not going to happen.'

So who the hell knows? XD

i think the real lesson here is that if we whine and stomp our feet for long enough, we will get what we want

what if each stage of each strain including the vial ones were a high price direct to wardrobe, unremovable overlay feature buyable from skitters? They could function as just another wearable/overlay instead of a zombie skin. (meaning different strain stages could be layered depending on the layers available in a users wardroble like a normal wear, and like a normal wear they do NOT come with zombie benefits)

or $$$$ runs the site, and staff has hopefully learned their lesson about swearing up and down 'we will never ever do that no way' when there's a chance in the future that switching something up could make a major financial difference for the site

yeah something like that would be a great compromise. and i wouldn't think partial zombie (regardless of the method of obtaining it) ought to come with zombie privileges (though i'm not 100% on whether that's still a 'thing')

I'm not totally opposed to the idea now that they're changing how skins work. Some strains definitely do look cool in their middle stages.

It sounds like it could be complicated though, considering how many strains we have and how many stages there are for each.

If it's too much trouble for staff, maybe we could get some new diluted doses instead?

I'd love to use things like Dolly Dreadful's stuffing and stitches, Pinkie Patch's candy hearts, or Bindi Bite's spikes (without all the webby bits).

Some new cardboard masks would be nice, too. I know the Underground zombies take offense with them, but I like using them from time to time.

You'd think the cure itself would be able to cure partial cures? I mean it'd be like getting the medicine at the beginning of any infection.

I support this as an sP sink, whether the partial strains become bases in the wardrobe or diluted doses. In fact, I think I'd prefer them as diluted doses myself. I'd buy so many different ones, if there were diluted doses for every stage (save the last) of every strain or even just the "fan favorites" from each... I know this is unlikely, but a few new ones would be nice at least.

This is a neat idea. Some of the final stages of current strains (if the spoilers are true) aren't my cup of tea, but earlier stages are really cool. Stage 1 and 2 deathworms? Super cool! Stage 6? I can't even look at it.
